@@TrudyandEddTravel I eagerly await every one of your vlogs. I enjoy watching them with a sneaky G&T after a hard day's work. Already got your next vlog scheduled for tonight.
You need to know what the flags mean! Between red and yellow flags is where it is safe to swim. Not that important at the Bay beaches but swim between the flags at anywhere with waves.
Good thing about Melbourne is that it gets really hot some days in summer but you don't get the humidity. I'm guessing you work for VW and got hold of a demo for the day.
Not really a fan of beaches without surf I prefer having waves that you can ride. No doubt those ones in Port Phillip Bay would be perfect for people who prefer safer still water just to have a swim or relax on the sand. Growing up in Lake Macquarie (Newcastle) patrolled surfing beaches are the norm here so when I see beaches without waves its like something is missing ..Same as the beaches in northern Australia they are very picturesque but without the surf they just dont have that same attraction for me but each to their own. Out of all the state capitals in my opinion Sydney and Perth are the 2 cities that have the nicest beaches. Start travelling and you will find plenty of amazing beaches in every state they reckon there are over 10,000 of them so you will end up having a long list to decide which ones are your favourites.
Mordialloc is derived from the local area aboriginal language called Boonwurrrung. yallock means water or creek So ' by the sea' would be a reasonable translation.
In case you didn’t realise, it’s illegal here in VIC to even touch your phone whilst driving (you can’t even pick it up and pass it to a passenger). There are many fixed and mobile traffic cameras around the city, suburbs, and even some rural roads to detect drivers holding their phone.
Just a word of warning. When you are traveling topless, (convertible top down that is), wear a light long sleeve top. And wear the shoulder sash of the seatbelt across your chest. Otherwise the seatbelt is nigh on usless if things go bad. You can take the shirt off at your destination. Also, the driver of the vehicle will avoid a traffic infringement fine if a passing plod notices.
That looked a nice weekend, cant beat a nice beach and a nice meal.have a nice week
