    Thank You, Too many tutorials claim they are for beginners but they gloss over details, speak too fast, assume too much, and omit tons.. Yours is great..just what a frustrated newbie needs.

    This was a perfect pace to follow and I love how you genuinely started from the very basics. Most people fly through instructions as if we should just automatically know what they're talking about and obviously we don't or else we wouldn't be looking up how to run this program for BEGINNERS! So I appreciate your knowledge and I REALLY thank you for helping me learn how to navigate this new system for me. God bless you and yours!

    This is the most awesome tutorial I have ever watched!!!! I have 4 books from the library sitting on my floor & hours of watching so called "beginner" videos and only yours makes sense to me. Thank you so much. I will binge watch everything!

    Dear sele, I'm back watching your tutorial again. As I said in my last comment. We have to revise with computers or else lose the skills. Like so many others over 50 who didn't grow up with the technology learning can be so frustrating. But you have a real talent with your videos. For one, a soothing voice and secondly an easy going pace which makes it easy just to pause the video and then practice for ourselves. A merry Christmas 🎅 to you from the emerald but chilly Isle.

    I am facing a leap from Windows 7 to Windows 10, and frankly was terrified of not being able to do what I am used to doing. This video was worth every minute as I can see how to set Windows 10 up so its more familiar. MANY thanks. 😊 I'm no longer terrified!!!

    I have been holding off moving to W10 from W7 because I dislike having to relearn new systems. My W7 is about to go belly up, it hiccups quite often, so I have been playing with Linux Mint as a possible option, mostly for security reasons. I found a used Dell that I was thinking about getting but it has W10Pro and I have been hesitant to buy it. Your video has really helped me understand some of the differences and also the similarities with my W7 that it was very easy to understand what I will be facing and not to worry too much about doing something new. Thank you so much.

    This guy has several useful icons on his task bar. I keep several others. Paint, Notepad, Wordpad, Character Map, Microsoft Fax and Scan, Magnifier and Calculator. All came with windows put are not placed on your desktop by default. To find them, in Windows 10, left click on the start menu. Locate each program you want. press and hold the left mouse button over the programs logo. Drag it to an open area on the task bar. Now it's available to open as a new tab. If you fill the task bar with icons it allows you to keep adding them but they may require an extra mouse click to find.

    I've been using Edge with Windows-10 for a couple years. I'm pretty much self-taught... I was searching the net trying to find out how to retrieve the small icons(tabs) below the Address bar. I came across your video and thought it would be beneficial if I took the nearly 60-minute tutorial... I did learn many things... I'm going to find your 2nd video, a little more advanced... Great work you did with this informative video...

    Still going through your fine tutorial. As a 50 something i find anything to do with computers is rather like learning to play a musical instrument or a foreign language. If you don't keep at it then it's forgotten and back i go to stage one. That's my story with modern technology.

      If electricity consumption isn't a concern for you, you can leave your PC powered on indefinitely. I would probably reboot at least once a week. Sometimes computers can develop odd issues if the system has been running for too long.

      I have a file saved to the C drive/ users/ desktop/designs. How can I get Windows to open this file using a specialized app that I have on my machine. ( It’s not a standard app like photos or word - the file has a unique extension (.bqm) that only runs on this particular app.). Is there a special set of steps I need to take? ( opening the file from within the app is not working). Thanks

    • @JJFlores197
      @JJFlores197 3 года назад

      @@barbarajackson9507 Right click on the file, and choose "Properties". In the General tab, you will see "Opens with: " Click on "Change". A menu will appear asking you to choose an app to open that file with.
      If you don't see the program, click "More Apps" and scroll through the list of available programs.
      If you still cannot find it, click on "Look for another app on this PC". It will open another menu where you can navigate to the program itself. In general, most programs install themselves to C:\Program Files\Name of Program or C:\Program Files (x86)\Name of program. You'll have to navigate to the folder in which the program is installed, select the name of the program, click open. Windows should now open that file type with the program

    • @JJFlores197
      @JJFlores197 3 года назад

      The brand of the computer doesn't really matter. Anyways, in most programs, you can press Ctrl+P which will bring up the print menu. You then choose which printer you want to print to and that's pretty much it. Some programs may have a slightly different way of doing this, so you may need to look up the procedure for the program you are using.

    Bien, el video está elaborado para una persona que nunca nuca a tocado una computadora, incluso para quien nunca a usado otras versiones anteriores de window. Quien a usado versiones anteriores de windows, quizás sabe por lo menos el 90 o 95 por ciento de lo que aquí se enseña.
    Por tal razón no es tan útil para quienes hemos usado versiones anteriores de windows, quien nunca a usado una computadora, seria un novato, pero nunca un tonto.
