When i was 8 i screamed on virtually all the coasters. Except for this. It strangly felt forsless to me. Also lacking that stomach dropping feel. I think its the lack of airtime that bires me :P. Rode 4 more times then never wanted to rude it again.

To anyone scared of this, trust me: I am HORRIFIED of any rollercoaster, but pushed myself to go on it anyway. The launch is definitely sudden, and feels extremely fast. Not much faster than you drive in a car normally, though. You are in shock by the unexpected speed however, but the good part is on the way back down from the drop, you barely even feel it 😭 If you are scared of heights and speed though, be warned. No matter what though, you’ll definitely have fun! Hope this helped!
I rode that thing years ago, when it had a statue of Superman facing down at you at the top (IIRC). One visit, it was late at night and the park was near empty, so they let us just ride it several times in a row.
You're correct. I miss that statue of Superman because it looks so small when you're walking under the ride and then you see it when you're close and you realize just how high up you are by how much bigger it is. I wonder when/why they took it down

Reminds me of free fall back in the day but more speed & smoother. Cracks me back thinking back on all those teen years being scared of it 😂
No one is talking about the defunct Tower of Terror rollercoaster from Dreamworld (best park (biased but who cares), Australia. It opened a few months before this, making it the first rollercoaster to reach 100miles, (160km), and closed 2019. Without it closing this ride most likely would’ve become too expensive to maintain.
The first time in saw this in 97 it was unlike anything I’ve ever seen…and the way it sounded was like hearing a F14 takeoff it was that loud…but was too chicken shit to get on it, when i finally wanted to get on they shut it down due the cars hydroplaning on the track…so fast foward 2 years later 1999 I went again to MM with my high school band and this time that was the first ride I went on, i felt like SpongeBob when he and Patrick conquered their fear by goin on the Fiery Fist O Pain 😂😂😂
I rode this 20 years ago after it had only recently been constructed. There was a life-size Superman at the very top standing sideways to look down at you. I wonder what happened to him?
Nothing is great about this ride.. I waited about 30 mins first and only time in line and never more Disappointed. the only reason this ride is still operating is because they have lex Luther giant drop attached on the 400ft side . They should replace this ride and build the dragster coaster like they have at cedar point where it actually goes up 400ft and comes back down

Dang we went today, first time going. This was the ONLY ride that wasn’t open. Kinda sad but all the other rides were a lotta fun.
