Everyone did reunited Kingdom but I think it would be nice to see arnor reforged. Thoug I'm little sad about harad coz I wanted to see mumakil in action bit it is what it is. Really excited about this campaign ❤
Hello, friend, and welcome back in action. A very interesting turn we have, an Arnorian campaign... Yes, I definitely approve it, I have seen SO MANY RK campaigns that I can almost tell about six strategies that go to the exact same point. If I can count correctly, Izzy's RK campaign was the sixth... And be sure that I look forward to see Gate Keepers in your armies, which are a very good crossbow unit! In any way, you have made a very interesting approach rushing to Fornost and Annuminas, which will be your centres for the rest of the campaign. Surely you have some good challenges about their safety. I cannot give any advice for your economy and infrastructure, as we are of the same opinion about what is needed. Eriador has a basic infrastructure, which will help you with the economy, however what is lacking is the military infrastructure. I noticed that you can recruit Breeland units in Fornost, which you can exploit, as the mercenary units you have perhaps can get retrained in Fornost. I am not sure for how long will Angmar start pressing you, however I feel that you cannot have peace with them and they will eventually come, so you'd better be prepared. Bolger from below has an interesting comment about a strategy I have seen, though I feel that it will stress your limited forces that you have. Finally, Dunland will surely come for you, as now they have Tharbad and they will try to hit Tirdhuin, so you'd better rush it and keep them contained. And after all, Cardolan - of which Tharbad was its capital - is one of your main objectives if you are to restore Arnor. You can get around some mercemaries, I saw some floating here and there, don't lose the opportunity - but get units that are worth their cost. Is it ever possible to have a good faction without my story? And leave my friends without something to admire? NEVER!.. So, here we have someone to get along: My dear daughter, Dark times have arrived and their wings shade our lives. It is too unfortunate that I have to leave you. I know, my dear, it's been about three years that I haven't seen your face. I really miss you and your mother. However, these dark times have taken us upon their wings and I need to go up to the North. Yes, this is exactly the same journey you heard me discussing with your mother years ago. Our King needs us, as Sauron and his dark forces rise again. Barad-dur is now complete and its dark towers throw their shadow to the world once more. The Witch King of Angmar is no more in Minas Morgul, but rumours have him passing the Anduin and riding to find a country that little know and with a purpose that only the dark minds touch. However, before him, Agandaur has been sent forth to restore the Iron Crown in the lands of Angmar. Despite the fall of the Dragon and the heavy blow against the Shadow we achieved ten years earlier was not enough to stop the Dark Lord. Agandaur is the First Inquisitor of Mordor and the Hammer of the Dark Lord, so his mission is important nevertheless. I need to go north to the King, for he will need every help he can get in this long and lonely journey. Please, don't follow me, but stay besides your mother. This life is not something I would choose for you. An assassin is a very lonely man, doomed to roam into the land without shelter, to go into the dark and avoid the light. He shall become a ruthless being, without love and without any of the priviledges that anyone who wants to be called as "Human" has. Alone we live, alone we fight with countless foes, alone we counter unnameless terrors, whom any logical being avoids to recall even their shape - let alone their name! And we all die alone and far away from our beloved ones, if there is still anyone left in this world. It's not the life that you should choose. Don't follow me and stay where you are with your mother, as you are safe there. And your father will still have the strength to roam into these empty and grey lands. You ask if Arnor should be reformed. Well, in this your father shall answer, as it is his duty to his daughter. Not at all! You get puzzled, right? But really, darling, do you think that we still live in the times of Elendil or Isildur? We are way past this point. The lives of the Dunedain are now different, as the Dunedain of the North are different from the Dunedain of the South. Yes, I seem weird, our great Kingdom is now fractured. But the time has passed and those centuries have split effectively us from Gondor. Our lives are not the same anymore. Yes, we can be allies, even friends. But the same? I don't think so, darling. And so thinks your mother, if you ask her. HIrvegil found the message written in a bottle somewhere in the ruins in Annuminas. Only a pile of ruins was there, and the Ranger that found it had a very hard time to notice the bottle. Hirvegil sent it as it was straight to Fennas Drunin, but Aragorn was not there. So, the messenger used his intense training and found that the King had gone to Bree and then returned, like he had a message that turned his attention towards Rhudaur. But who he was to question the intentions of the King? So, he set for Rhudaur, only to find the King on the bridge of Rhaglaw river. Aragorn showed a very strong interest in the letter, as he read it three times. "I know only one person that writes like this", he said. "Eyes open, guys. This assassin should be even in that bush and even you cannot see him". "The letters should be known to the King", the messenger said. "But is this man so dangerous? More than the Orcs?". "The Scourge of the Hasharii", Aragorn said. "This is how he's known, as he has waged a ruthless war upon them. But his job is still unknown. The only thing that we know of him is that he's called Thorondor and he's from the North. And do believe me, he is extremely dangerous". "I have barely heard of Thorondor", the Ranger said. "We all have travelled far and this name comes like from afar, a legend from lands far away in the East or the South". "In all the long years of my life", Aragorn said, "I have heard only one man calling his closest ones as ¨darling¨, and its only him. I also know the way he writes, as I have met him and for a time we had some good communication about legends from afar. But do believe me, he's from the North. He has told me so. And he's very familiar with the legends of Arnor". "And it's weird of him to speak for not reuniting our kingdom", another ranger said. "It's the right of our King to rule both Arnor and Gondor". "But he's right", Aragorn replied. "I need to think more on the subject, and perhaps speak with Elrond about it. But it's not the first time I have heard this - and not only from Men of Gondor". The Rangers preferred not to react.
You have an interesting start for sure going for Annuminas and Fornost. To form Arnor you do not need the oath breakers first, so one of my ideas is to rush Goblins sell KD and build the house of Kings asap. This forms Arnor and you have so many more troops for expansion and lands for money. Another possibility, because Arnor aside from additional territories mainly gives you troop benefits that come with later barracks you could secure the regions around Annuminas, Barketta, Ost Gelon and Bar-i-Donionach. This means that when Angmar starts really attacking, usually around turn 20 they will be unable to hit Annuminas, basically meaning your construction won't be continually stopped by sieges and Ost Gelon and Annuminas will be safe settlements, Ost Gelon is a village, its less of a priority since it won't likely border Angmar for a while, but it will border the Dwarves which will be a massive issue for Annuminas. it would force them to attack only Ost Gelon though instead of Barketta and Annuminas (unless they have Fuirost) basically you secure Annuminas in a ring of settlements so you can form the kingdom and have a better staging ground for war. Dunland as you know will be a problem right now they border Celoniach which is basically in the middle of your starting settlements, basically a dagger at your heart, it might be good to take that on the way to kill the goblins so they won't have a chance to use it when they attack.
A little side quest for this campaign is Mengalen. You have probably heard about the changes (every time you kill a barrow army you get 50 population in Mengalen, and with the restored crypts you get Steelbowmen) basically its a super helpful little quest you can work on when you have ample troops and resources.
One of the more difficult ones. On turn 3 I got attacked by Dunland xD It was a such an unpleasant campaign until I got my kingdom reunited. After that I inherited the Gondor debt and for the next 15 turns I was in the -100k area, but I had enough armies to demolish Mordor and later got the ring destroyed :D After that it was time to have my revenge on Angmar and completely destroy it :D
good start and I have been watching your videos for a long time now and I got the mod and playing v5 myself and I love it and I am playing as dol guldur
Im writing this comment perhaps prematurely but I wanted to share my experience with the dunedain before watching the full vid im sitting paused at the faction select screen after you mention the difficulty of the campaign. Dunland before turn 10 sends a full stack at my cutoff city to the southwest I believe its metraith? and the goblins send about a 3/4 stack at me after taking tirduin tirhuin? and around turn 12-14 angmar sends its first spam towards me at the series of forts around weathertop. I didnt keep playing after that. Im eager to see how this plays out for you. Also, hi from Izzy's channel I heard your name in a recommendation and thats why im here! GL
Remembering why I love the AGO variant of this map, the mountain path is so nice when you get those missions for Khazad Dum as an Eriador based faction. Considering the game is too dumb to not realise the time frame, this is something I will always happily allow people to console command to resolve. Those who don't I view as choosing a slightly harder challenge.
If you want a guy to retreat as far as possible go into the battle, deploy on the edge, and withdraw. You won't be able to do this if you already retreated on the campaign map but if you want someone to make a beeline to the nearest settlement that's the best way to do it.
Good to see you again in action. Just a few things you might just do in the next episode. You should train all of the rangers you can train until you get better quality archers, and train a few more spears and send them to fornost. Angmar going to send a lot of troops against fornost quite soon. Oohhh, and thank you for every videos. You helps me a lot to learn english.
good luck my friend Reunited kingdoms is great, no need to use an off game script to reload stuff, Gondor and the swan prince (dol amroth) will join you and you become one big great nation (just be sure you are allied with them or it wont trigger.) You need to do Aragorns sub quests, reforge the sword, get the king of the death and then station them together near Minas Tirith to trigger the re union
Oh boy this campaign gave me PTSD. I really had to boost population growth especially on Annúminas because in the version i played when you grow the city to a huge one you instantly get all Bree faction. I wish you have as much fun as i did though. 😊
I have tried the Northern Dunedain campaign several times in V5. If you take Annuminas and Fornost too early, you have 3 settlements to defend against Angmar and 2 settlements against Goblins. Plus, if you want Tharbad then it's almost impossible to win. I usually rush Goblins first and give Bruinost, Annon-en-Orod, and Ost-in-Edhil to High Elves to boost them against Goblins. (If possible, Khazad Dum to Dwarfs). Therefore, you don't need to worry about Goblins anymore. Attacking Angmar from Rhudaur side is always easier.
For useful mercs you can head south of metraith to the left for some river elders and right south of tharbad for wulf pikes you can also hug the mountains next to the goblins for some sons of the fallen don't know the exact turn you can recruit them but I hope if you need extra military you'll use them
Hopefully you help Gondor as Arnor later down the line. Reunited kingdom is not as interesting imo edit: Also lower taxes everywhere to grow your settlements, Annuminas especially
Damn, I haven't watched the first episode yet, and here's the second. on top of that, RUclips is starting to stalk your channel because now the first episode notification has arrived and there's already a second one ;(
ND are hard, but so rewarding if you get them off the ground. In my experiences, the hardest thing is that by the time you create peace and start pushing out of Eriador, your allies start attacking each other. Rushing Goblins to eliminate them early, sell off the land to Imladris and give West Khazad Dum to the Dwarves, can give you some breathing room and a big cash injection that can fund further expansion. Lean on Weathertop, don't upgrade the village so that the battlemap stays as weathertop, and the fort north of the village is also weathertop battlemap. Don't try to hold the ramp leading up to the top. Allow them to come to the top and form a semicircle near the cap zone, with archers on the flanks, particularly there is some high ground on the back right that you can place archers on top of to give them good sight and firing angles. You will be seeking to break the enemy morale, then run them down. You need 2-3 Dunedain Wardens, put them in shield wall, with guard mode on to absorb their attacks from the front, while other units form the flanks. Woodland Hunters and Lumbermen(axemen) are going to be some of the units you lean on. I don't remember if they got removed Bandits in V5 but they are worth using as your "trash" to tie up the enemy while you shoot arrows, or keep them on the flank to help run down the enemy when they break.
In my opinion the money from selling KDW should be prioritized for a different purpose. The House of Kings is the only other requirement for Arnor other than Aragorns script and it is hugely expensive. He builds the building, he gets some very lucrative regions from the Breeland which would be better then some new expansions. not only that but he gets custom generals and units.
@The Fifth Hobbit you are probably right, I am speaking from experience in V4.5, and it may be better to absorb Breeland early, rather than trying to push out now that you can Annex them. That wasn't an option before.
@@PenguinofD00mxxx Yeah, forming it early just gets more cash from the rich breeland, and more armies. he will also need a ton of cash when he forms the kingdom to spend on all the culture buildings.
The goblins of moira where more than annoying in my run in V5. Never played the united kingdom, always reunite Arnor and in my opinion its much more fun. Let denethor choke on his cherry
While this maybe overpowered/stupid. I feel like, Arnor should be a stepping stone towards you rebuilding the Reunited Kingdom and should not really be a choice. (In my opinion) It really makes sense here, if you think about it practically speaking. Like Once you save and unify the north ((which is/was not only once apart of its dejure holdings but also the only direct longer-lasting legitimate successor-state of it) from the forces of the fell, you march down at full arnornian might and speed to save Gondor. To me, It kinda makes no sense how the dunedain rangers can just simply reform the reunited kingdom with Aragorn by himself here. ((I know, it kinda happens that way in the movies but I just chalk that up to runtime tbh)) (While It might be hard to script at that, its also not impossible. I remember how they did it in-game prior back in the day with the .bats to how they do it nowadays with the choice scripts. To me, personally: it would feel alot more better/satisfying. Currently, it just feels kinda redundant as evident in choice popularity).
Ligizd, I have a question, do you plan to upload episodes of this let'splay regularly in some specific time? If so, how often and in which time will you upload? Last thing, I need to know the time zone, I am from Czech republic.
i see this is an old video but if you assault dead mens dike the AI glitches out and most of the units will just sit in the town square or slowly dribble down to the gate once you break the gate down.
Hey I just recently downloaded V.6 about a month ago and my DaC is different than yours. This faction doesn’t start with the town and there is a different UI. What’s the version your using? Do you have any other mods on it?
ELENDIIIIIIL!!!
My darling
Its great you’ve decide to restore the Kingdom of Arnor. I’ve seen too many Reunited Kingdom campaigns. Nice breath of fresh air!!
LIGZID!!!!! YOU HAVE RETURNED!!! U have been missed cob. Love your campaigns man keep them up! Lots of love from Australia!
Babe
Everyone did reunited Kingdom but I think it would be nice to see arnor reforged. Thoug I'm little sad about harad coz I wanted to see mumakil in action bit it is what it is. Really excited about this campaign ❤
I've wanted this campaign! I love playing and watching challenging campaigns.
It's gonna be fun af
YESSSSSS YOU HAVE RETURNED

Was enjoying Harad, but it's good to see you take on this campaign. Avenge me! lmao
I will avenge you!!

Gold comment
I look forward to see you play as the Northern Dunedain
One of the more difficult ones. On turn 3 I got attacked by Dunland xD
It was a such an unpleasant campaign until I got my kingdom reunited. After that I inherited the Gondor debt and for the next 15 turns I was in the -100k area, but I had enough armies to demolish Mordor and later got the ring destroyed :D
After that it was time to have my revenge on Angmar and completely destroy it :D
New Ligizd campaign uploaded on my birthday, what's not to like.
Good to see you back.
Happy birthday!
good start and I have been watching your videos for a long time now and I got the mod and playing v5 myself and I love it and I am playing as dol guldur

Great chalenging campaign!
If you want a guy to retreat as far as possible go into the battle, deploy on the edge, and withdraw. You won't be able to do this if you already retreated on the campaign map but if you want someone to make a beeline to the nearest settlement that's the best way to do it.
honestly love DAC i cant believe i fell out of the loop so long i missed V5 release... omg
Normaly only view Izzy, he’s on a break and now I found this amazing account ! Good luck with the campaign
Welcome back my friend! ❤️
Thank you
It's fun to imagine Elrond's face when a messenger rushes up to inform him that the Dunedain have made peace with the goblins.
EXCITED FOR THIS! Good luck my friend❤
Return of the King himself! Good to see you back and hope everything is well my guy
Hurrah Ligizd returned 🙂 with the one of my favorite faction 🙂.
good luck my friend
Reunited kingdoms is great, no need to use an off game script to reload stuff, Gondor and the swan prince (dol amroth) will join you and you become one big great nation (just be sure you are allied with them or it wont trigger.) The Return of The King!
I have tried the Northern Dunedain campaign several times in V5. If you take Annuminas and Fornost too early, you have 3 settlements to defend against Angmar and 2 settlements against Goblins. It's great to see you again Ligizd!
i start this series and i am fall in love totally FOR DUNEDAIN
Super hyped for this!! Let the stronk men with stronk bows conquer
Hahah :D
Boromir: "Let the armies of Mordor know this: Never again will the land of my people fall into enemy hand."
I'm very much looking forward to see this campaign Ligizd!
:D
Gandalf voice was hilarious 🤣😆
I’m almost 90% sure the beginning song is from a old school game called Majesty!
Nice, finally dunedain 😎🤟🏻 are watching Isengard playlist, done with the others 🤟🏻
Haven’t you updated to 4.6?
Finally, what a great campaign faction
For useful mercs you can head south of metraith to the left for some river elders and right south of tharbad for wulf pikes you can also hug the mountains next to the goblins for some sons of the fallen don't know the exact turn you can recruit them but I hope if you need extra military you'll use them
Sons of the fallen are great. I used them in my campaign as Khazad-dum,whenever I could get them.
Hopefully you help Gondor as Arnor later down the line. Reunited kingdom is not as interesting imo
edit: Also lower taxes everywhere to grow your settlements, Annuminas especially
I agree with you
Annuminas was once a jewel.
IMO more impressive then osgilliath in it's prime
For Arnor!
Kingdom of Arnor FTW!
Although, as always, it promises to be an interesting new campaign
Great to see you back with this campaign, man! Reunited Kingdom, here we go!
Watching this make me miss Galu
The dunedain of Arnor are my favourite but game and lore wise
Hope has kindled!
For the seven stars!
You sound like Koifish, especially when you say "armor." Are you part Swede?
Damn, I haven't watched the first episode yet, and here's the second. on top of that, RUclips is starting to stalk your channel because now the first episode notification has arrived and there's already a second one ;(
Lets flippin go!
Let denethor
choke on his cherry
cherry tomato*
While this maybe overpowered/stupid. I feel like, Arnor should be a stepping stone towards you rebuilding the Reunited Kingdom and should not really be a choice. (In my opinion)
It really makes sense here, if you think about it practically speaking.
((I know, it kinda happens that way in the movies but I just chalk that up to runtime tbh))
(While It might be hard to script at that, its also not impossible. I remember how they did it in-game prior back in the day with the .bats to how they do it nowadays with the choice scripts. To me, personally: it would feel alot more better/satisfying. Currently, it just feels kinda redundant as evident in choice popularity).
Hey Ligzid,
Now that the expanded roster mod has come out, have you ever thought of doing another Arnor campaign in that mod?
Are you going to continue the overview series
Where’s my cheese episode? I was promised a feast of cheese, and I see nothing! I am untethered and my rage knows no bounds!
There will be cheese to eat in the third episode! All the cheese you can have ^^
Let'sss go!!!
Make Arnor great again!
Ligizd, I have a question, do you plan to upload episodes of this let'splay regularly in some specific time? If so, how often and in which time will you upload? Last thing, I need to know the time zone, I am from Czech republic.
Will you keep playing Harad alongside this campaign? Maybe you said it somewhere if so sorry haha.
I stopped the Haradrim campaign sadly. I just didn't feel like it was enough fun for me :/
@@Ligizd That's a shame. I was following that one religiously but am not really interested in Arnor. You do you though bro
i see this is an old video but if you assault dead mens dike the AI glitches out and most of the units will just sit in the town square or slowly dribble down to the gate once you break the gate down.
Is this just regular DAC or is there submod added to this?
I know it’s pronounced tir’dthuin but I cant help but say turd hoin every time
👌👍
Såja nu kör viiii!!!
FÖR I HELVETE BRITT-MARIE! NU JÄVLAR BLIRE PILLBÅGSSKYTTE!
Hey I just recently downloaded V.6 about a month ago and my DaC is different than yours. This faction doesn’t start with the town and there is a different UI. What’s the version your using? Do you have any other mods on it?
Where are you from? English is very good but you don’t seem so. Maybe Sweed or Norway?
you have sketchy "get a car fast" ads
Is this a German British accent?
Wich dificulty are you playing???

Not a bad start, that first battle at Fornost is rough.
Make Arnor Great Again 😂
