    I’ve never heard anyone else explain the pain associated with thinking while depressed...I understand so!!! I’m on day 3, I’ve remained prayerful and positive. I just need a breakthrough at this point. Single mom and struggling with mental health issues makes me sad......please keep me in your prayers as I will keep you and all who continue to struggle. ❤️

      Bless you Sister. Of course I will pray for you. You can do this. I’ll pray for strength and breakthrough for you. Honestly keep going with the medication because it does start working eventually and then it keeps getting better. God bless you and your children xx

    I am on Venlafaxine right now. I have heard people say its horrible, etc...etc....but I have found it works very well for me. The worst side effects I had were on the quick release tablet in the beginning. Blurred vision, overwhelming tiredness, feeling really "off". I pushed through and after a couple of months, went to a higher dose with the extended release capsule. That has been much better for me! MUCH! This medication has done more for me than the previous I was on (Bupropion/Wellbutrin). I've heard it's a whole process to wean off of, but that is not something I am really concerned with right now since it's working so well for me. It's good to see others have had success with it (like you!) New subscriber here. :)

    I took my first 75mg tablet yesterday afternoon at 16:00 and it's now 02:38 and I'm wide awake feeling horrible wishing I could sleep. I've just come off 30mg of mirtazapine as it wasn't working. I hope this medication is the one, I've had such a bad run just recently and want to feel the joy of living once again, thanks for the video, it's lovely too see you smiling, I hope I'm where you are in a couple of months time.

      Hi Jess, I'm sorry to read that you are struggling at 2am, that isn't good especially after the sleep one gets from mirtazapine. I switched to taking my venlafaxine first thing in the morning with my morning coffee. After about 30 minutes I'm wide awake and ready for the day. I'm up to 225mg now but its definitely holding me. Stick with it and maybe take it in the morning. I will pray for you. Please do check back in and let me know how you are getting on from time to time. Ems x

    Glad you’re ok now on this medication, I’m about to start taking it but nervous about the side effects, as I can afford take time off work.

      My advise is to take it at night just as you are about to go to sleep. I take mine in the morning now from about 4 months in and feel they help start my day. God bless your journey. Stick with it it’s worth it.

    I'm on day one of venlafaxine and found your channel. I, also, am worried about weight gain. On your 30ish day venlafaxine video you said you gained significant weight. Did you ever end up noticing weight loss?

    • @BeingHisCreation
      @BeingHisCreation  2 года назад +3

      Hi Stacy, thank you for watching my videos. Unfortunately I did continue to gain weight, about a stone in all but I can't say that was due to the venlafaxine, I believe it was more hormonal. However, With low carbs I am loosing the weight now. The thing with anti depressants is that they affect the gut and the brain. Check out the gut-brain axis. I have been on venlafaxine a year now and it has changed my life. Believe me I am under a lot of stress, but I think if I didn't have God and this medication, the stress would bring disaster to me. My advice to you is to keep going with the medication and just try to avoid snacking or comfort eating, defo avoid lots of sweet stuff (but not altogether, you need a treat dont you?). If you notice you are gaining weight, dont worry it will plateau. It is still a better experience to have the medication with the weight gain than to be skinny and depressed.
      Lots of Love and Hugs. Check in any time you need support x

      Hi, thanks for participating and welcome to my channel. Unfortunately I have gained weight and struggling to lose it, however it isn't a great deal. Perhaps 8-10kg. I feel slightly apathetic some days. My libido hasn't been affected. :). To be honest, the venlafaxine medication together with the love of my God has been a total game changer for me.

    Thank you for this. I started with Venlax 6 weeks ago and after 3 weeks I felt great but I’m now just starting week 7 and feel so depressed at the moment I just can’t see an end. I’m 51yr male and feel so despondent . My wife has been a rock but I feel such a failure for not coping.

      Bless you. The negative thoughts are lies trying to prevent your journey. Keep going with them, they have really helped me. You might need to speak to your doctor about increasing the dose.

    Did the hysterectomy not help you at all with the PMDD since you got on an antidepressant? I am trying to not go back to antidepressants because they made me 1 million times worse and gave me acathisia. I don’t think I can take them. I’m tried several times the only option the doctors have given me is ECT and that will not work, I am not going to Cook my brain

    • @BeingHisCreation

      Hiya. Sorry for the late reply I’ve had challenges that kept me away for a long time. I haven’t had my hysterectomy yet. I’ve been on a waiting list since 2020! The Venlefaxine anti depressants help during the month but they don’t combat other symptoms. For example I’m in bed right now, pretty much unable to physically function as it’s that time of month x

    Hi. Thanks for video. I just started Effexor today and would love to hear how it's going for you one year later? My main concern apart from any initial side effects is emotional blunting.

    • @BeingHisCreation
      @BeingHisCreation  2 года назад +1

      Hi James. Thanks for commenting and reaching out. How are you getting on? I can honestly say that after the year I’ve had emotional blunting is not an issue. I’ve cried many many years and laughed hard too. If anything it’s helped me to regulate my emotions better and feel them in a more honest way.

      @@BeingHisCreation I actually decided not to keep taking them and only took a 37.5mm xr capsule that one day. I'm going to see if I can beat this depression using more natural methods. I guess I'm just stubborn lol. And I'm doing okay thanks for asking. Really it's been the depression related insomnia that was really getting to me and that has gotten a little better. The most importantly thing though is I reached out for help and have the antidepressants at hand should things get too much for me. I'm so happy to hear things are doing well and Effexor has helped 🙂

      Fair play to you, that’s really good going. I was at a point where I didn’t have the energy to try natural methods if that makes sense? What country are you in? If you’re not in the UK you can usually buy over the counter melatonin gummies. They are really good for sorting out those sleep patterns as they help you get off to sleep. I have to get them prescribed here now because I can’t import them anymore. I highly recommend them. Vitafusion and dream sleep are the two brands I’d recommend. I pray in the name of Jesus that He will lift the weight of darkness from your shoulders and give you His life giving love and light by His precious blood be healed. Amen!

      @@BeingHisCreation I'm in Australia. Yeah I order melatonin from the US but they haven't helped unfortunately. My insomnia has gotten quite severe. Honestly at this point if I thought antidepressants would cure this awful insomnia I would take them but many people report insomnia as a side effect of taking antidepressants and if that happened to me..... well, I don't think I could make it. Thankyou for your kind words and prayers. Amen 🙏

    • @BeingHisCreation

      @@jamesmoore4827 if you take the antidepressants in the morning, and once they have got to the point where they are benefiting you, I believe it will resolve your insomnia. I’m not a doctor but do you have a regular sleep routine? Mediation, no caffeine after 2pm etc? If you have severe depression as I did it may take several months for the medication to be effective. Don’t give up.
