Sarah Silverman Sings Broadway Medley! [EXPLICIT] // SiriusXM • Sarah Silverman Sings ...
Sarah Silverman is a big fan of Broadway -- and of SiriusXM host Seth Rudetsky. She joined him at the piano for an impromptu medley of her Broadway favorites, including "On My Own" from Les Miserables, "I Don't Need Anything But You" from Annie, "The Ladies Who Lunch" from Company, and two classic songs from Man of La Mancha, "Dulcinea" and "Aldonza."
Seth has played piano for and/or conducted hit Broadway shows such as Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, Mamma Mia, Ragtime, Thoroughly Modern Millie and The Producers, as well as off-Broadway shows Forever Plaid and The Fantasticks. Hosting the show from the piano bench in front of an intimate studio audience at SiriusXM's Rockefeller Center headquarters, Seth Speaks with his trademark wit, musicality and joie de vivre about the things he loves, what he is currently obsessed with and more with stars of Broadway and the performing arts, celebrity pals and a wide variety of other guests.

I specifically come back to this video a couple of times a year because it makes me so damn happy. I hope it never disappears from RUclips. ❤️🇨🇦
Same!😊
This came up on my recommended vids one time and I keep coming back to watch it again
I actually authentically love her singing. She's not Julie Andrews of course, but she is on key, she hits most of the notes, and she has a very nice simple vibrato. Love the authentic sound it has. She sounds exactly the way Sarah Silverman should sound if she sang on broadway. Or the way a Sarah Silverman character would be played in a broadway show.
I love how excited Seth gets by Sarah knowing all these songs. When she bust out Aldonza I was clapping ! AMAZING !
more of Sarah SIlverman singing pleaseee!!!
I'm glad to hear her sing "The Ladies Who Lunch". I feel like she could totally pull of Joann!
My secret love for Sarah Silverman just grew 200%, not just because of her fondness for Broadway songs but her actual ability to sing them. Give her a couple of months with a good vocal coach and she could knock Broadway's socks off in the right role! Seriously!
Sarah is the real deal. A full package of talent!
Proof that Wreck-it Ralph should have been a Broadway-style musical.
plus John C Riley can also sing
And Jane Lynch.
Lord Satsuma That's not what I'm saying; I'm not talking about a stage musical. Disney Animation Studios is known for having made several Broadway-style movie musicals, their biggest ones being the movies that kicked off the "Disney Renaissance" such as 1989's The Little Mermaid, 1991's Beauty and the Beast, 1992's Aladdin, and 1994's The Lion King. More recently, Wreck-it Ralph is part of what seems to be a new revival for Disney Animation Studios, with movies like The Princess and the Frog, Tangled, Wreck-it Ralph, Frozen, Big Hero 6, and upcoming films like Moana. Many of those films are of the same Broadway-style musical format.
Many people argue that Wreck-it Ralph and Big Hero 6 might not have worked as well as musicals due to their intended demographic. I disagree. I think they not only would have done well with their target demographics, I think making them musicals would have expanded their demographics. They might not have reached Frozen-level success, but perhaps Aladdin-level success.
Christian Ponte and Jane Lynch can sing too
Christian Ponte Ralph breaks the internet has a Sarah Silverman musical number
Yo she should play Audrey. I can hear it clearly.
!!!! yes
Yesss!!!
Duane Richards II suddenly seymour
Yesssssssssss!
Obsessed. We really did have her sing that whenever there were guests over, she would sing it just like that and her little tiny face would turn red and she'd nearly faint by the end but it was amazing. Like in front of great aunts and uncles and grandparents. Epic childhood memory. Love this so much!
I hear frenchy from grease
It was somebody she reminded me of , couldn't put my finger on it , yes definitely Frenchie
She has an Audrey-esque voice in my opinion. She would be adorable with that role!
that was actually... not too bad? that was the most ruffelle-y on my own rendition i've heard since the actual ruffelle did it lol
MORE LADIES WHO LUNCH! NEVER ENOUGH LADIES WHO LUNCH!
Quit trying to pretend like you can't sing. You are beautiful Sarah Silverman. I love you.
Seth........ I LOVE YOU!! Your the only reason I keep my XM Radio going ! You my friend rock my world !!!
This was great!!! So much fun!
I hear Vanellope from Wreck-It Ralph singing omg she's good.
ring-of-keys IKR?!
I think about this video all the time
This is actually a spine-tingling version of On My Own (in spite of the hilarious asides.) I mean, this is far superior to many former Eponines.
"Qualify it!" 😂😂😂
She's actually a pretty great singer. I would love there to be a song with her and John (he's a musician) in Wreck-It Ralph 2
Emily Kranking you called it but it’s actually Sarah and Gal Gadot in Ralph Breaks The Internet
I REALLY FELT THAT ENDING
She could seriously tackle a lower comic mezzo role, or even something on the contralto side of things.
If Aldonza didn't have her two soprano songs, Sarah literally could be the part on Broadway.
Brilliant!!! Kudos to Miss Silverman and Mr. Rudetsky!
Now I know how Vanellope's singing voice would sound
Olivia Cruger now in the new Ralph breaks the internet vanellope actually sings a number
I love this. I’ll take an authentic sound over a trained sound any day. especially when it’s Sarah ❤
THIS MAKES ME VERY HAPPY!
She has the cutest voice 😍
this is fantastic!
Omg I love this!
She remembered so much of those old songs, Imagine if she had prepared to sing them, she would've killed!!!
I loved her Aldonza
PS - @thekow She can too sing! Sure she Broadway-talk-sang at times, but when she sang her intonation was spot-on. A little vocal coaching and her upper range would expand enough to sing most Broadway numbers, no doubt in my mind.
Somehow I want her to sing moreeeee!! Loving this!! Both her and seth are amazing and funny!!
literally obsessed with her "Aldonza"
Wow, with a bit of direction Sarah could totally be an awesome singer!
That Aldonza grunge/ rock shit was 🔥🔥🔥
Brilliant!! Maybe we'll see her on Broadway someday?
Mrs Silverman, you are funny and you do have a beautiful singing voice. Sarah you are the whole package!
This is the best thing ever.
DAmn Silverman's got chops ... ahh she is so great !
On the contrary Sarah you have a beautiful voice. You are not a terrible singer. You can sing and are a very funny comedienne. You are the whole package.
Is Seth still on Sirius? I would pay for it just for his show honestly if he actually does stuff like this regularly!
Yes he is! Andg the app has the option of listening to past episodes. "I'm obsessed"
This is the greatest thing ever. Ever.
Wow!
Brava!!!
i watch this all the time lol
OH. MY. GOD. AH-MAAAAAAH-ZING!! This is an instant classic!!
Love her.
They should do a bio-musical about Stritch, and have Sarah play Elaine.
I'm sorry, I can't watch this without imagining Vanellope Von Schweetz singing! XD
Adelaide in Guys and Dolls maybe? I'd love that.
Sarah Silverman just makes my life. XD
So she's even more amazing? Is that it?
YES
omg i am living shes smazing thers nothing she cant do
Certainly entertaining.
This is adorable.
She is so hillarious!!
hola, me gusta tu estilo
So cute!
same here
Now I wish Wreck It Ralph had at least ONE musical number for Vanellope to sing
Alexis Steinman did you see the new one it has one
Thomas Hester I did!! I teared up cause I was completely surprised 🤣 and it was great
She should have her own show or something.
You know, i think if she really tried she could make a great Eponine!
She already did
Charming.
I can actually see her as Ado Annie in Oklahoma!
Obviously she can actually sing, she even sang in some of her specials
OMG Seth looks like fix it Felix!
She's got hints of Frances Ruffelle in the huskiness!
Her voice sounds like Vanellope
oh literal twilightfan4ever5478
@DenyReality Actually. I agree with you. I'd rather hear her album than those. I never said there werent other terrible artists ou there. Hell. I watched this video at least twice.
I love her lol
Someone grew up listening to Frances Ruffelle.
Damn Sar...YOU should write & DO your own MUSICAL COMEDY!
oh my. sarah has such a squeaky voice! i can hardly stand it but at the same time I cant stop watching because her personality is so amusing! haha
So cute she is.
@CZWolf yet Britney Spears, Justin Bieber and Rhinanna get recording contracts? In other words, I look forward to her album. ;-)
Sarah's voice could actually work on Broadway with the right character.
I hate how big my crush is on Seth.
Best dulcinea since julia migenes.i like it.
@SMBarbie - I wouldn't give two sh*ts to see a Seth/Sarah show.
she sounds just like vanellope von schwetz
"what was she raped or something?" DYING.
Vanellope singing that is all I see
Eponine Silverman.
Why explicit? WTF
she plays vanellope :)
She'd be a great Madame Thenartier!
I died at 3:02.
She could so walk into that part tomorrow...
That's what training is for.
OMG me too xD
She says 'fuck" so I'm guessing thats why.
I think I have a crush on Seth Rudetsky. I'll own it. ;-)
i cant not hear her voice and not think Vanellope
Her voice is like a bigger vanellope von schweetz
