The good thing about Mosul is that even though the old part still has war damage the rest of the city is always getting projects and improvements and i am pretty sure in couple years Mosul will be one of the top cities in Iraq because in Baghdad nobody is fixing or improving the city sadly .

Fun fact there are already 6 fully reconstructed churches in Mosul including a Monastery! Sadly I don’t think Janet knew about them.. hopefully until next time Love ur vids

Unfortunately, it was subjected to great destruction during the liberation operations, and it is on the right side of the Tigris River. As for the left side of the Tigris River, we tried many areas and neighborhoods and a shopping center. I wish you visited and I hope that you I felt the simplicity of people and the love for the world that they carry in their chests for the whole world, and not as the media promotes

Note: I am one of the engineers who had the honor to contribute to the reconstruction of my city, and I noticed that you have passed through several projects that I have contributed to, such as the public garden, commercial markets and the fish market, and I am currently working on rehabilitating the building that is being rehabilitated, which is located in front of the building that I photographed.
172nd Stryker Brigade Veteran here, last time I saw Mosul was in FEB 2005. I remember it was beautiful place even during that time. Nothing broke my heart more than the Daesh occupation and utter destruction and genocide that followed. This video brings much, pain and comfort, in equal measure to me given the sacrifice I saw daily during my time there. I shall never forget seeing the old walls of Nineveh, and the place the great prophet Jonah sat watching awaiting the destruction that never came, as the inhabitants repented. Comfort comes from seeing the people of Mosul rebuilding, in this video. Thank you.

This was a great watch! I come from Glasgow but now live in Australia I was living in Mosul 1981- 82 and it was a tremendous place to live the people were fantastic and I made some great friends alas we are no longer in touch but I still have very fond memories of the place and the people.
