I was recently diagnosed with an aggressive and terminal form of cancer. I don't have a lot of time left, but i've had an awesome life and I recently introduced my longtime girlfriend to this song and asked her to listen to it at least once a day

The probably have 200 Million + views (14m on this one alone) on youtube total so they are pretty front and center. I know that's not big for gamer channels, KPOP, toddler stuff, or kitten waking up. It is a LOT for a rock band.

I find it sad that people are saying this is purely pop. It just shows how limited people's knowledge of music is. This song by Halestorm is either A) Soft Rock or B) Rock Pop, both of which are sub categories of rock. If you want pop things go listen to Justin Bieber or Taylor Swift, the latter of whom I have no clue why she's still classified as country

This band several years too late. A radio friendly version of “Here’s to Us” in 89? Probably number 1 on the charts for 3-5 weeks. That’s the problem with America today. It isn’t the economy, a pandemic or anything else..it’s the music. Fix the music-fix the country-fix the world.
Two good friends of mine was moving out of their apartment and asked me if I could help them with cleaning. One of them put on a Spotify playlist and this song came on. So glad I discovered it.

This awesome song is a very good exsample how great Lzyy Hale is as a songwriter. The melody sounds very simple first and reminds me off sea shanties like What shall we do with a drunken sailor or the german folksong "Blau wie das Meer" (it's catchy, listen to it).
But "Here's to us" is not so easy like it sounds. The Rhythm changed in the chorus and is a little bit faster but there is still the perfect harmony in our ears. I'm very sure: If the song was released in the 80s it will be a classic and big hit like "Don't stop believing", " Living on a prayer", "I want to break free", "Jump" or "Eye of the Tiger".
