  • This is my full review for the Netgear Orbi Quad-Band Mesh WiFi 6E Network along with a demonstration of how we have installed it throughout our home. This Orbi system (RBKE963 / AXE11000) is the latest and greatest in consumer grade wireless mesh networking. However, it comes with a steep price tag! Do the premium features, such as quad-band radio, a 10gb internet port and more justify that? Let's find out!
    Also, I won't spend much time speaking about Netgear Armour or Parental controls. These are optional paid for subscriptions and there are plenty of RUclips videos about them if you want to learn more. I won't be using them so have not included them in the review.
    I hope the video helps and feel free to share your own thoughts in the comments.

    The walkthrough about separating an SSID for IoT is amazing. Thanks for going through this!

    Great video. Any idea what range/distance you could achieve with the satellite if unencumbered by walls, etc.?

    I purchased a Unifi Pro U6 for $160 and mounted it on a vertical wall facing my position and get full 1Gb wire speed both ways. Its Wifi 6 and streams superbly.

      I had the $160 Unifi and it never got anything over 250 mbps. I upgraded to Netgear nighthawk router with wired access points. My internet is around 500 mbps at my slowest and furthest point of my house. There are so many factors to consider

    I have a solid brick annex about 20 meters away down the bottom of my garden which currently does not receive any signal from my virgin wifi router.
    Would this Orbi system provide signal to my annex that’s 20 meters away?

    Hi there Simon.
    I have the RBK852 and just upgraded to 1gbp internet through Virgin. Working from home all the time and slowly upgrading my devices to 6E. Would it be a benefit to upgrade to the RBKE963E?

    i have a question. My wife and I just bought our first home and we love it! We currently have a NETGEAR Nighthawk RAXE500 Router for our home and it works great but as I am starting to understand how Mesh Wifi works, it is something I definitely want to get for our home down the road. is buying a Mesh Wifi System worth getting for a 1400 Sq Ft Home? or is sticking with our NETGEAR RAXE500 just fine?
    We just got a starter home for now and once we start having a family in a couple of years, we will move into a bigger house then

    I only have the Netgear ORBI RBRE960 router. I don’t have a satellite on my network. Can anyone tell me what is the best optimized settings for range and wifi speeds for the Orbi 960 router?

    If I couldn't assign different ssids to each frequency, this would no longer be an option for me.

    Clearly With money to spend why would you not buy ubiquiti?

    • @SimonsDrones
      @SimonsDrones  Год назад +2

      Hey Gareth, Ubiquiti have some great networking gear and it is a great choice for folks who want more intricate options and have a little more tech knowledge than those who just want a quick plug and play system. Sadly a lot of the higher end stuff is not easily available in the UK atm, but when it is you can look forward to videos on that here. Cheers!
