    This dude is one of the most positive people to sit in the chair. Of course he’s going to give everything a “jam”. He’s looking beyond the music into the spirits of the musicians. To say a song sucks is to condemn those people to hell. Personally, I don’t have a problem with talking negatively about a bad song.

      I don't know man, when I think of a jam I think of improvisation and musicians playing off each other like crazy. I feel like you can interpret jam however you want, but there is an entire genre based off the word. To those people who take the word jam seriously, something like Blondie or Lady Gaga singing a solo would not be considered a "jam". I don't think something needs to be a jam to be good under my interpretation either

      The last prominent thing he did was with Daft Punk's Random Access Memories. Pretty sure he's done other stuff since then but that's one of the most well known from his later catalogue and a good starting place.

    This dude opened for Cher with his homies and I was absolutely FLOORED. best opening act I’ve ever seen ever. He is amazing!!!!!!! So magnetic to watch!! Just loved it! I would love to see a show with the whole crew jamming for 1-2 hours!

    I heard that song by Donna Summers in junior high in 1976 while on a bus in Sacramento, CA. LORD HAVE MERCY! Then I saw her picture and that did it for me.
    I remember my dad beating on the bathroom door telling me to ‘turn it loose’ and get out of the bathroom.

      @@cbcmusic Something tells me you misunderstood me regarding who exactly I was referring to by "Nile", hehe -- but hey, if not, I'm truly impressed! I for one really enjoyed the Jam or not a Jam with Anthrax and would certainly like to see more metal musicians on this show (Jam...); They tend to be a lot more open to other styles of music than musicians of any other styles are toward metal in general

      Hey, OKOYA66. Are you completely unaware of the entire premise of "Jam or Not a Jam?" If the listener likes a song, they call it a jam. If they don't like it, it's not a jam to them. Pretty simple concept. I mean, I understand that brainwashed Commies just cannot fathom anything outside this collective groupthink crap, but we're not all a bunch of autonomous sheep who are ready to blow smoke up your keister. 🤷‍♂️

    well...that was underwhelming...who the hell would say "Rapture", "Love to Love You Baby", or that old Will Smith track was not a jam?? As for Gaga's "Shallow" it's a cool sounding track but I don't think it' would've been a big hit on its own without the movie connection. Not a jam for me, but "Poker Face" sure was...

      That's odd. I think it's even funnier when people can't wrap their tiny heads around the fact that not everyone is going to have a perfectly positive opinion. In fact, I'm willing to bet those same people have many negative opinions of their own. I can't imagine any one person liking everything and disliking nothing. I find that very hard to believe. Nobody is that agreeable. It's okay to say "no". 🤷‍♂️
