I am still having issues with any formula I try to type in this sheet/ doc. Can i send to you to check? Ive run out of ideas and energy to try get this right :(
Thanks for the explanation, but this is not working for the formula in data validation. Normally, on any cell the formula: =TableName[ColumnName] works fine but in data validation, list field it doesn't work, gives the broken formula error.
Hi , I set up everything correctly in Windows (Regional Settings), Format Setting put United Stated though i-'m living in Europe, Serbia, link separator is comma, also checked out at advanced tab that field separator is marked.Pls help me out, I am working at IF Nest function in excel right now and it doesn't work.Aleks
Thank you, the error might come if your are using a formula in a language different from the program:s language on you PC. For example if i take a formula from an englidh youtuber and typr it in my computer with swedish language activated.
Thank you for sharing with the clear explanation. Anyway, I've tried all methods you mentioned but I still can't solve the problem. Is there another method?
Thank you so much. After googling for more than a hour, found this very well explained video and got my error fixed. There was Regional setting in system.
Oh goodness, it worked! Thank you so much! 😌 What helped me was changing the "Use system separators" option. I honestly had this error so often, I was going crazy...
If you copy and paste from Word, another issue is that Word considers different characters, you need to replace these characters to the ones in Excel (ie. ’ to ') please find below the characters and differences: Software Character Code() Excel ' 39 Word ’ 146 Excel " 34 Word ” 148
Thank you so much, I was worried because I couldn't find a solution to solve this problem even, I uninstalled and installed office several times trying to solve that.
Dude, Thank you !!! I checked everywhere and I wasn't able to fix the issue because my formulas didn't work, some of them did but if statements wouldn't work neither date formulas. It was the "comma" regional parameter. Somehow it was set to "dot" by IT guys. Thanks again!
Thank you so much for this video, got my problem solved by found out my list separator was actually set as '|'. Thank you for showing the way how and where to find the list separator, which is under several layers of region setting. Very helpful. Thank you.
