One thing that has helped the popularity of football in America is there is a huge immigrant population here. Whether it be from Central America, South America, or the Carribean. They've certainly added an element to the culture of football here. Most of these ppl are just as passionate about the game of football as anyone. The Worldcup in America should be really good

I have never in my life seen an atmosphere for a buildup to a game / the game itself quite like I did at that Sounders game. The march they do to the stadium through Seattle is just freaking awesome. People underestimate the love for the sport here. It's just not mainstream.

The loudest crowd doesn't necessarily have to do with the level of stakes in the game itself but of the emotional investment of the fans and I think that Portland fans, especially at that time were bonkers for the Timbers. I'd put that crowd roar up against any other game played in a similar sized stadium.
Unfortunately this video was made before the Galaxy - LAFC Traffico at the Rose Bowl July 4, 2023. It was a great game and over 82 thousand fans made an incredible amount of nonstop noise through out the entire game and every time a goal was scored it got even louder.
