    Guys I just got accepted from envoy , and had no experience. So don't be afraid to take that step. Just be yourself. Watching these videos helped a lot. But once I was being interviewed I decided to be myself which brought out the best in me.

      Omg congrats!! I originally wanted to be a FA for Delta. When their apps opened, I applied and got rejected. I was crushed and wanted to give up. Then I looked at Envoy. I figured, although I want to be a FA, I applied for a ramp agent opening just to get my foot in the door. I have an interview this week!! I'm not really nervous, a little anxious; just ready to do me and manifesting and praying I already have the offer. I hope you're doing great, and if still with Envoy it's going well for you 🙏🏾💛

    Great tips! I will also add, be specific in your response when answering the " tell me about a time" you went above and beyond etc. Don't be vague by not answering the question or using fluff conversation to skate around the question. Think about a time that you did go above and beyond and talk about that.

    How much customer service experience do we need to become a customer service and/or ramp agent? Also, for the tests for training do you need to get a certain percentage correct in order to become an agent?

    • @JasmineChannelTV
      @JasmineChannelTV  3 года назад +9

      Hi Mia, I believe most airlines prefer 6 months to a year or more for customer service experience.
      However there was one girl in my class who was only 19 years old, got the job and passed the training.
      If you don't have a lot of work history think about the activities you've done in school, church or volunteer work that include customer service. most importantly, be able to explain what extraordinary customer serve could look like to potential customers.
      As far as the test for training, it depends on the airline. I worked for a airline that required 90 percent and another that required 85 percent passing score.
      Either way, the airline will give you everything you need in order to succeed. its up to you to put in the time to study the information given.
      hopefully this information is helpful :)

    • @JasmineChannelTV
      @JasmineChannelTV  Год назад +1

      Yes! everyone's story is so different.
      During the time I was a flight attendant I decided to go back to school to further my education. First, I started school part-time with online classes while working as a flight attendant.
      After two years of doing that, I decided to go full time at an university. Then I left my flight attendant job to do school so for work I worked as a CSA/ramp agent instead. With my new schedule I could do school while having the flight benefits.

      great question.
      I would highlight all of the volunteer work you've done. Also state that you don't have work experience. Explain in your email any customer service experiences you have, even as the customer. explain what good customer service feels and looks like and how you can bring those experiences as a customer to the work place.
      hopefully that is helpful. good luck to you?

    • @JasmineChannelTV

      Kristine,
      Great question, from my work experiences, 50 years of age is not too old to apply for airport operations.
      during all of my different aviation titles, there were many employees over the age of 50 working after retiring from their previous careers.
      Many of them didn't need to work for money, but enjoyed working to have something to do, and of course the flight benefits.

    If you've got an interview with Delta and it says for "Ramp Agent (Customer Service Agent) do you know if that leans more towards the Ramp, CS, or if it's a mix of the two?
    I ask because on another interview for a different location, it says Customer Service Agent (Ramp Agent)
    Thanks ahead of time!

    • @JasmineChannelTV
      @JasmineChannelTV  3 года назад

      Hi, I believe that if it says both, it's a mixture of both job tittles/duties. It all depends on the airport you'll be working at. Some airports are so small that employees work both roles. In the bigger airports it's one or the other.
      For me, I worked both positions because I was at such a small airport. but back in 2017 when I was in Seattle working for the same airline, I just worked as CS.
