Unboxing, tests and detailed review of a Donner music DUC-405 concert ukulele beginners package (23 inch ukulele)
This is a solid mahogany 23 inch semi acoustic concert ukulele with a semi open grain satin finish and it comes with everything you need to get started playing the ukulele. The kit includes; the concert ukulele, a spare set of strings, a strap, a cleaning cloth, 4 plectrums and a quality case, and you can get the first few lessons free on there website or there are lots here on RUclips. Donner advertise this as being a beginner ukulele, but the quality of build and sound are good enough for most intermediate or even advanced players whilst at the same time the slightly larger than soprano size of 23 inches makes it slightly easier to play if you are coming from a guitar.

Hi, I have the tenor of this same uke, I have simply no problems with the pickup. Seems you fell on a bad one, Mine doesn't saturate at all. The strap and gig bag are brilliant, I've been gigging with it for a couple of year. The acoustic sound is just getting better and better, no surprise seeing as its a solid top. Btw, the fretboard & bridge are Indian Rosewood

It appears that Donner have ended the Ukulele line. Too bad since they seemed to have split the difference between bargain basement, tourist ukes and higher-end pro ukes.
