    I have to say that I love how you stop in the churches on your village stops… we do as well… I’m not religious but I do love them… the art, the architecture and the beautiful sense of calm …💜

    I bet you're never going to let Mr Boo live that down about the animal less procession! The scent of wood burning stoves and mountain air must have been magical. Reminded me of my childhood Christmas spent in Italy .Great video as always. ❤

    Wit Woo Mr Boo...lovely jacket and t shirt ❤...i remember the Big Yellow Teapot,the Big Red Bus and lots of other toys,i worked in the Bluebird Toy Factory in Swindon that manufactured them all for 3 mnths in 1984 😂

I think they probably said there would be animals as a way to entice people to Castagniers Christmas festivities, besides anyone else under the same assumption got to see the lovely Twiggy ❤️

    I love Christmas, the whole festive atmosphere, and the Christmas markets are something so special and unique, enjoy the good weather; here in Portugal, it has been much colder and rainier.
    As always, the meal is delicious, and this onion soup with cheese is a specialty, the restaurant's quality doesn't deceive; you can see it by how packed it is with customers, it's a pity there wasn't the animal parade, but even so, this week's episode is superb., Merry Christmas!

    What a magical place and that view across to the mountains is just stunning. You guys certainly can sniff out a good restaurant. No wonder Mr Boo struggled with that daube and how many ducks were on your plate Tim? That was certainly worth the money. Thanks for yet another fab video! ❤

    Castagniers was charming! Too bad the promised live animal parade was a letdown but the lunch though pricey, fulfilled your drive up there and that’s the best feature of a Sunday mountain village outing. Thanks for the review and I look forward to another Sunday Christmas video next weekend! 😊

    Really enjoined the visit to Castagniers, so many reminders of magical Christmas times of childhood when some of us were lucky to miss out on the Big Yellow Tea Pot, but at 16;45, Mr. Boo's Me And Mon Ami Sleigh T-shirt is something not to miss out on (while supplies last?).     Omg that meal! Soupe a l'oignon looked so yummy. Huge portions. €33 for a set menu. The duck looked wonderful and Mr Boo's dish looked great but didn't quite catch the name. Chez Michel is the name to remember. Lovely atmosphère in that village. Wonderful setting.

    This episode was absolutely hilarious! Ahhh...to live in the head of Tim for just one day! What fun that would be! LOL! That meal looked incredible. You two must have needed a nap after that feast! The parade/nativity was a wee bit underwhelming, but hey ho, it was sweet. Right now I am looking out at the most beautiful hoar frost that descended overnight...lovely warmish weather for us here. Anywho, great video, as per usual! BTW, I believe the concrete style that looks like wood is called 'faux bois'...

Back in the day the BBC’’s Holiday programme (way back) featured (cocaine) Frank Bough and his wife Nesta following Enron’s routes around France, based on great places to eat like a local. My mum and dad followed those routes and we had a whale of a time. Why not do fun routes for your viewers with great places to nosh, like a local? I would buy it and I have been here for over 10 years.

    Thank you for showing us that cool cement waterfall fixture. It is pretty sweet. Actually I have seen something like this before in Austin, Texas, on 6th Street (party Central) on the river walk. It was cement also made to look like wood. It was awesome how realistic the effect was. Maybe the guy who built it was French.😊

    Big yellow teapot was the era of "bluebird toys" who were eventually taken over in the late 90's by mattel so you were half right. ..the big yellow teapot toy was on heavy advert rotation which is why it is seared into my mind.

    The sound is bad (also was last week) but there were no comments to that effect. So I figured it's not affecting most people, tried on a different device, sound was fine.
    For diagnosis, the driver's microphone is often inaudible when watching through safari browser (on Mac) to TV via HDMI.
