If you're wondering how a 3 minute video can take 40+ hours to make, here's a breakdown: www.patreon.com/posts/70766513 Post is open to the public, you don't have to be patreon for this one. Thanks for watching!
@@thaisennj9781 I'm trying to up my patreon game so there will be more write ups like this on there in the future, as well as the MP3s and early access to some videos.
I'm flabbergasted this only took ~40 hours to make. I couldn't pull off those combos with a month of work, and I couldn't figure out those incredible transitions in a year.
Desk, bro, I don't know how you do it. You gotta be one of the best fighting game creators to ever make it on youtube. this is insane stuff. I can't believe you pull this stuff together. Incredible video.
I really appreciate that. I'm very fortunate to have so many viewers and I want to put in the extra time and effort to (hopefully) make it worthwhile for people to click on my videos. Again, thanks for taking the time to comment, it honestly means a lot :)
@@deskcombo Dude, you're not just a fighting game RUclipsr. You're a fighting game artist. I've been watching you since the SFxTK days and you never cease to amaze me, even though I dont actively play SF.
I'm loving these themed videos showcasing multiple (often some obscure) games. Great stuff! Also, that Chun-li combo where she throws Yun into her own fireball then cancels into super is the coolest combo I've ever seen in Third Strike.
Between the music and the editing this video is wonderful, but the gameplay is absolutely brilliant. I don't think a single other creator has managed to impress me with every single video like Desk.
Man that Pocket Fighters Ken Shinryuken was one of my favorite supers of all time, I remember being a teenager and peeling legit skin off my palm mashing that super back in the day. From the hits to all the gems flooding the floor, everything about that move was so satisfying.
Didn't know desk knew about Ginga Force. Instantly recognized the music as soon as it kicked in. Music is "Gallant Gunshot [Arrange]" which is arranged by Takahiro Eguchi and the original song was composed by Yosuke Yasui, of "YO-KAI-DISCO" fame.
Desk you’ve done it again. I wish I could say I was shocked but I’m not. It’s always an amazing blend of creative editing, killer music, passion for the genre, excellent understanding and manipulation of game mechanics and raw talent like no other. Thank you for all the great work you’ve put out over the years!!
Desk does the sexiest combos. I have no idea where the creativity comes from but the execution is flawless. I remember playing sf4 and saying there is no way I can replicate his combos.
Desk this was such an incredible video with highlights from some of my favorite fighting games and what you manage to pull off each time is insane. PERFECT!!!
I never comment on RUclips, but you're amazing bro. The variety of fighting games is superb. I played all these games and I love seeing them being played by a pro like you.
I was gonna say, “Combo The Throw” is literally all you do in X-Men vs SF and lo and behold, Desk managed to showcase X-Men Vs. SF here and still make it look impressive.
Man, I remember when I first saw that first SPD edit back in the day and thought "Oh, that was pretty cool". Now Desk has turned fighting game transitions into an art form!
I really like throw combos. There's something incredibly satisfying when you manage to pull it off, especially when the window and distance to pull off a combo is very tight
Glad to see you're still doing this! We had a match in 3S YEARS ago and you picked Yun SAI. I asked how you're not winning every tournament you enter and you simply replied "Because I'm not very good at fighting games!" That stuck with me for some reason haha! All the best.
1:08 That's a really cool route! Always struggled to do Giant Man assist into Thunder Power Bomb. Though if you want a more wild combo fitting this theme, throwing a light projectile after a character is launched (i.e, after Giant Man) sets up for an inescapable grab if done in the corner, and this can be looped until death.
mvc1 is the only time ive been able to copy any combos you’ve done. mainly cuz thats one of my main games. But man you come up with some SHIT. i love it
I love doing this in Marvel 2 with Guile's throw into assist. If done frame perfectly, you can combo throw into assist, then assist into Flash kick super, which has a very tight amount of time where his Guile has a hitbox on his hair that pops the opponent into the air, allowing for Guile to jump back up and do an air combo, which can lead into his air throw pseudo infinite.
I cannot imagine the amount of time, thought energy and raw labbing you must do to make these for us. But seriously, thank you Desk. I had a really craptastic day, and this flipped that on it's head. Thank you :)
Love these multi-game mixes, they must take a lot of work, but especially when coming up with those sick transitions. A couple characters in KOF13 can combo after throws in the corner too, like Chin, Kensou and Benimaru.
Was nice to see VF3 in there. TFT combos on Pai's roof were always fun. The Akira stumbles to SJK/Yoho/Knee DLCs were cool, too. But for the nastiest stuff, you needed Lion's surprise exchange combos vs Taka.

The only things more impressive than these combos are those wonderful transitions between fights. Well done as always!
That arcade machine transition is so neat lol, really appreciate it more too after reading about the process. Nicely done overall!
0:18 forget the combos, that transition was brilliant lol

Definitely one of the most technically skilled
That pocket fighter combo was so 🔥
Literally one of my favorite super casual Capcom fighters and to see combo that sick makes me wanna play it again even more now!
I'm loving these themed videos showcasing multiple (often some obscure) games. Great stuff!

THIS IS AMAZING
i love the fact you edit in the assist from the other games in so seamlessly. Like Charlies Sonic boom following after sean's super
Man that Pocket Fighters Ken Shinryuken was one of my favorite supers of all time, I remember being a teenager and peeling legit skin off my palm mashing that super back in the day. From the hits to all the gems flooding the floor, everything about that move was so satisfying.

Thank you my kind sir!
That Gem Fighter combo at the end was throwing EVERYTHING
XD
What he does at 2:55 on with the music and the combos looping together is just brilliant.
Oh My Gosh! Desk
Thank you for great experience!!!
What an amazing Combo video!!
0:30 that sonic boom transition is so hype, love all the new and stylish edits you do
That Chun Li air throw into kokouken is absolute gas.
Also 2:48 - "I Just wanna play Puzzle Fighter and have some fun, casual, relaxed"
Ken - 3:15

the transition with Charlie's sonic boom was too sick. you've always set the standard for these combo vids
“Combo The Throw!” is the most personally inspiring fgc montage I’ve seen this year!
Desk does the sexiest combos. I have no idea where the creativity comes from but the execution is flawless. I remember playing sf4 and saying there is no way I can replicate his combos.
That arcade machine transition was a thing of beauty. I always enjoy watching your videos and content. Keep it up!!!
Desk pulling every combo ever is smth that amazes and frightens me every single time
This may be your best video yet! Well done Desk!!
Your knowledge of fighting games is genius level. This is a great video and that Pocket Fighter combo was amazing.
Desk this was such an incredible video with highlights from some of my favorite fighting games and what you manage to pull off each time is insane. PERFECT!!!

OP production, i ran out of words for Desks achievements a long time ago. But he keeps on blowing us away, again and again.
Hi Desk. I love the variety of games you show in your videos. Some of these I have never seen before. Great video as always!
Absolutely brilliant, the combos, the creativity, and the editing make these videos amazing to watch, precious.
perfecting the craft of combo videos
(you're already the best at it)
The damn liu kang fatality transition to sf3 was genius. Great combos and video as always!
That transition from the MK arcade fatality is brilliant! Desk, you never cease to amaze me.
One of the few RUclipsrs to include the track name. Thanks for that ♥️
Those transitions tho! What you’re doing in the video is already incredible enough but the transitions and music make it special!
My jaw is officially in the Earth's core. Very clean editing, very clean combos, very clean work my friend.
I never thought I'd ever see Street Fighter EX3 gameplay, sick combos as always too, and the best transitions in the buisness.
"bro just take the throw"
This video's focus on a single theme, and its extremely impressive editing, reminds me of the classic "Ode to the Two-Hit Combo" video.
My favorite thing about this video is how you link up the hits to the beats of the music!!!!
That transition at 0:20. Holy hell. I wish I could give you one thousand likes for that.
Also, MK3 throws give me PTSD. 😂
Lol, 1000 likes, that's what patreon is for :)
Coincidentally, I do throw desk a couple of bucks on Patreon. 😅
The production value on your videos is next level
0:23 OMG!! YOU CAN DO THAT?! Like always you're amazing!
Holy crap Desk, that editing is crazy even for you. Amazing skills.
This is simply incredible. Impeccable editing skills. 🤟🔥🔥🔥
Woah...Biffotasty. What a throwback. Love you Desk
If there's one thing I really like about Smash is how frequent grab combos are. We need more of them in other FGs. Loved the vid
not only is desk a combo god but a god of editing too!
That chun combo made me say, "yo that was sick" out loud. awesome job
That combo at the end. Ken stole Zangeif life savings.
Excellent video, thanks!
That Pocket Fighter combo is especially impressive!
Never did I expect to see street fighter ex 3 on a current age youtube video. You’re gifted homie.
I was gonna say, “Combo The Throw” is literally all you do in X-Men vs SF and lo and behold, Desk managed to showcase X-Men Vs. SF here and still make it look impressive.
This channel never disappoints
Desk still leveling up?! Crazy. That Liu Kang arcade cabinet transition!
More and more profesional... Amazing work Desk... We see your effort.
I was worried I wasn't going to see XMVSF, but thankfully it was there! Awesome video
Man, I remember when I first saw that first SPD edit back in the day and thought "Oh, that was pretty cool". Now Desk has turned fighting game transitions into an art form!
every time you post a video, my life changes.
These transitions are marvelous
This is trully awesome to watch, thank you so much for your hard work :)
Editing in the candy cab to do the arcade machine transition is beautiful attention to detail
This is TAS level play but for Desk, just another upload. Friggin'aMAZing

That MK arcade fatality transition was chef's kiss
2:27 is such a sick angle bro. Keep up the cool videos.
That song! It's Ginga Force!
I friggin' love good visual transitions
Amazing work Desk!
The transitions are otherworldly.
These transitions are fire.
This is a masterpiece!
Desk talked to me once in the biffotasty/calcius repton days, still makes me happy ❤️ lol
I really like the transitions in this video
The Pocket Fight combo with Ken was too cool
The 100% gem fighter combo was unexpected but really awesome :D
This has gone beyond the realm of gamers and has reached the level of artists.

Come for the combo mad science, stay for these insane(and many subtle) transitions! Great work, desk!
The song used in this is so amazing
this is pure art
I am blown away to see MK in a desk video.
I cannot imagine the amount of time, thought energy and raw labbing you must do to make these for us. But seriously, thank you Desk. I had a really craptastic day, and this flipped that on it's head. Thank you :)
THAT’S THE THUNDERSTRIKE TECH I’VE BEEN LOOKING FOR!
Nice to see the Jackie Chan game getting some love 👍
The ken taunt before the final blow was beautiful man 👏👏
i love jackie chan in fists of fire, but i think he could've done much more with yeung
Geez Desk.... Is there a game that you can not combo? Always impressive stuff!
I always come back to this video
Another great video from Master Desk 👍. I didn’t know Pocket Fighter have insane combos like that!😲
that Super Gem Fighter Ken combo was HYPE 😂 👍
Love these multi-game mixes, they must take a lot of work, but especially when coming up with those sick transitions. A couple characters in KOF13 can combo after throws in the corner too, like Chin, Kensou and Benimaru.
¡Gracias!
ありがとう!
That Ken string in puzzle fighters was nuts and I had no idea chun li cud throw combo like that in alpha
When I first saw the title I was thinking if SF4 Gouken isn't in here it was a missed opportunity I'm glad to not be disappointed @ 2:22
Outstanding work
It was a pleasant surprise to see a Rage of the Dragons combo thrown in the mix!
The transition from MK3 to SF with the arcade was too sick
Was nice to see VF3 in there. TFT combos on Pai's roof were always fun. The Akira stumbles to SJK/Yoho/Knee DLCs were cool, too. But for the nastiest stuff, you needed Lion's surprise exchange combos vs Taka.
