The officer's suspicion that the camper has camped longer than one night is not evidence of a crime. The testimony of the camper stating that he just arrived last night should be enough to end the encounter if that is the only suspicion. More tyrants with badges and guns.

I can understand cops skepticism about length of stay if area looks camped in, built up rock fire ring with cooking equipment in place, pile of firewood, etc. but it doesn't sound like that was the case here, just a bunch of stuff empied out of van onto the ground for the purpose of sorting, cleaning and organizing as he said. Problem is cops will never believe what you say, you're always lying to cover your illegal activity, they turn their non belief of you not having weapon into probable cause to search your stuff.

Even camping somewhere on two consecutive weekends doesn't mean you were there for 9 days in a row. This ranger was bored and just looking to f**k with somebody. It's a giant flag when they start asking you what's in your vehicle. They'll ask you to search, then find a reason to do it anyway like lying about seeing something on the front seat or the ole "I smell weed".

Patrick may have been able to mitigate the bad outcome of this "experience" by exercising a strict communication regimen with the federals by saying only,
"Here's the deal. I stand on my Fifth Amendment right to not be compelled to be a witness against myself. I recognize that you are conducting an investigation. There is no law that requires me to help law enforcement in any of their investigations. You have a choice: arrest me now, or leave me alone."
Then, refuse to say anything further other than to repeat all or part of the above. Such as "I stand on my Fifth Amendment right to not be compelled to be a witness against myself."
Leave out the insults and do not act like you are escaping. Wait for them to arrest you or leave you alone. If you make them mad, they could just kill you and leave.
Recognize that these two are acting like typical law enforcement psychopaths and are therefore unpredictable.

They will see through the lies and propaganda of the prison for profit pipeline where we lock up a higher percentage of our people than any other nation on earth. They will demand retribution. They will turn to those who express the hatred they feel for the powerful and the institutions, now shams, that were designed to give them a voice. They will seek not reform but destruction of a system that has betrayed them.' It's inevitable when biased courts outlaw resistance to an unlawful arrest - outlaw legal right to defend against assault - by requiring 'disputes' be resolved in the courts with no controlling application on the right to resist an officers' unwarranted use of force. Just when we think policing can't stoop any lower in heinous acts - more and more video evidence appears to prove otherwise. We appear to be reaching critical mass in reaction as politicians continue to defend an emerging police state where the principle of equality before the law has been effectively abolished.

The camp host said we were being too loud, about an hour before dusk and called the rangers. By the time they got to the campground, we were in our tent, quiet af. We saw the lights and they were hitting multiple campsites so we figured we'd step outvof the tent. As soon as I opened the "door" there were multiple rangers with guns pointed at me. I haven't had too msny ptsd moments but that one had me screaming "PLEASE DON'T SHOOT ME" lifting my shirt and telling them I've just been shot. I couldn't believe that they showed up to a noise complaint like it was a felony stop but that's what happened. Still fucks with me and I no longer stay in campgrounds.

@ 2:38 'You can record me'. Whenever I hear a police officer say this it sounds so idiotic. Why do they think they are in charge of absolutely every aspect of our lives?

I know right. Like they are giving us permission. We don’t need their permission.

I think they are trained to "take control of the situation". To them, taking control includes issuing meaningless directives and granting permission when and where their permission is irrelevant.

He saying that to try and calm down the situation not give permission, by the time Patrick starts recording the video he clearly seem agitated, which is clearly making the ranger nervous and possibly more suspicious than the ranger would have been otherwise.

Festidious. Because they ARE in charge of our lives.
They can kill you anytime they want. Remember that.
But the most egregious thing I see is MILLIONS of illegals pour across our borders and law enforcement does NOTHING. Something isn't right with the US anymore.

Can someone kindly post the home address of these peace officers so that we can send them cards and letters of our support?

YES, YOU DID TELL HIM HE WAS LYING. What part of your questioning doesn't clearly tell you that you DID do that?
