I'm like you, Angelica. I don't need the turkey. Just give me the dressing with chicken in it, and that delicious chicken & gravy to go over it. Some mashed potatoes, Southern style green beans, and roasted sweet potatoes and ham. That's my perfect Thanksgiving. With pumpkin pie, pecan pie and Texas Mudpie Bars for dessert.
I have a pan similar like that. I made cornbread dressing like this last year and it came out beautifully. I like the corner of my dishes that I cook. I put in Bell peppers and onions with chicken.
Thank you for sharing this recipe. My mom makes a very similar version but she adds biscuits to the corn bread and carrots to the onions and celery. I always eyeball the measurements for the seasoning and this makes things so much easier!!! Thanks so much for a simple yet very flavorful recipe!
Oh man! I know I'm making that! I like that your dressing is not too soupy before you bake it and yet not too dry. It's just amazing to watch how easy you make all these recipes. And it's always so easy for us to follow. Even though I have your cook book I constantly come back to your video to see exactly how to get it right. Sometimes more than once on the same recipe. 😄
This Thanksgiving is coming upon us fast. I can't wait for dressing, that was the thing that everyone wanted. My mother also made a 24 hr fruit salad so good. This looks good, we like our dressing moist and juicy. ❤❤❤🎉
This cornbread dressing is the kind of dish that makes any meal even more special! The recipe is super easy to follow, and it tastes wonderful. Thank you so much for this perfect recipe!
Looks delicious. Can’t wait for our big family meal on turkey day. I’m making your corn casserole recipe. It’s my favorite now. Corn bread dressing at Christmas. Thank you!
I'm with you regarding turkey I much prefer chicken. Since there are only two of us for Thanksgiving dinner, I'm buying a Costco rotisserie chicken, and I'll make the sides.
🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤 On a meal plan and Thanks to God have lost weight....Saw this n was like?Thank God I couldn't go thru the screen and grab a bite😂.Looks so gooood!!
I was looking for a more complete menu. Would’ve liked a green bean dish, along with a simple salad of pasta or some sort, and a smoother gravy, as I am used to. Your Turkey was beautiful and made me even more hungry for my roasted Turkey! Thank you for the ideas and inspiration with your Turkey! 😋🤤. Happy Thanksgiving!
You can get a roaster tabletop oven or just use a pan and pan fry with butter/oil Turkey breast/chicken breast and the cornbread crumbs to make them crispy!
Gurllllll stop playing!!! You’re cooking now. Damn that looks good and I sent my wife this video. Let me find out you been in my granny’s kitchen. 😂😂😂😂
Ok my thumb was in the position to click off right the store brought cornbread, omg im glad i hung in there because that looks delicious, and im choosing this version to follow
I discovered something else this summer… Prepare a simple Jiffy cornbread batter according to package directions and add 1/2 cup yogurt and set aside, do not bake it. Then cook up a box of mac and cheese. Then stir the corn bread batter into the cooked mac and cheese and pour into a casserole dish and bake at 350 about 25 minutes. Top with cheese and fried onions, bake 5 minutes more. Heaven!
Thank you! that is a good recipe. I really like at the end how you showed the self roasting electric oven, I got one this week to cook my Thanksgiving turkey and was wondering if it really roasted the turkey the way it says it would. I love the color it gave as if it was done in a conventional oven. ❤❤❤❤
looks so good! I don't think I've ever had a cornbread dressing before. do you think one of those brownie pans that get all the edges crispy would work for this too? I love the edges too but they go so quick!
Hello, I love this recipe. I was wondering how many pks of Martha white 6oz pks of cornbread mix should I use. My supermarket does not carry made cornbread. Thank you in advance.

You're not alone. I don't like turkey that much either. It's dry meat to me. But the wings are good when cooked right.

Good evening, Simply Mama! I'm a new subscriber.
Looks yummy, did you use a sweet cornbread
You and me. I don't like Turkey that much neither. I'm not like my Famy that they can eat Turkey time after time. 1 plate is enough for me.❤
Wonderful video🎉🎉🎉🎉
Can this dressing be made ahead of time , and should it be cooked or can you leave in fridge without cooking till the next day or so?
You can definitely leave it until the next day! Let it come to room temp and add more broth to reach your desired consistency before cooking!
Oh Mama! That is fine?😊
Thanks 🙏❤❤❤❤😅
How do we Ketofy or Low Carb this recipe for many diabetics? 🙏🏻
I don't do turkey at all. I'm a chicken, duck, ham or venison woman.
