I use 5W 30 Amsoil and it works extremely well and cold weather and when I had my engine rebuilt at D.N.J. machine in Cambridge Ohio things like my wrist pin bushings in the rods were an excellent condition didn’t need replaced. Cam tunnel was beautiful and I remember this has over 500,000 miles on it.
This is going to be great Lenny and Team. Would you consider a 6.4L for this build, or test one? I'm running a sxe 363 and was going to pair it with a box 475, but looking forward the testing on the 476. Great job as always fellas.
I thought the only way to advance the timing on an inline pump was to mechanically rotate the drive gear/ camshaft..like a Mack Econovance or CAT Scroll pump,or something...?.🤔. show's what I know 🤣..but anyway,👍
👍👍I've watched most all your other videos, but anyway,I was of the understanding that the 215 pump plunger actually had a retard notch to lower nox at part throttle or some damn thing...I think u said in a previous video that those plungers advanced with added rack... ... I realize your custom plungers will do different things ..but,I'm confused 🤣🤣... Anybody else wants to enlighten me,go ahead...it don't matter either way tho... thanks for all you folk's do at DDP👍👍👊
Lenny has said 215 has advance but he is wrong it is a retard notch. The only way to get it to come out of the notch and go back to the low rack timing would be to turn the plunger past the control port into a range where it would have no control on fuel delivery as it would be beyond the spill port. The new plunger he showed is correct for having advance with rack.
this is the kind of stuff we need with 12vs. Such a great project.
That foldable table looks like it's had just about enough 😂
Thanks for doing a garage style build. It will be fun to see what can be done with some basic equipment.
So I just drive in and you swap out my engine for one of those? 😁
Instantly subscribed when I saw you cleaning the deck surface with the proper tool. ❤
Commenting for support!
So excited for this build keep it up !!!!!
You should bring in Jon Elford at Dynamic to talk about the transmission worthy of handling this power plant.
He built my 48. Did a really nice job
Sweet can't wait to see everything yall are going to do to this 12v
What we really need is a reliable machine shop for 12 valve blocks that offers fair pricing for blueprinting and machining.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us.
Would love to have one of these !
Can a 6.7 crank be put in a p pump 24valve?
Awesome build! Can’t wait for some street rip videos!!! Isn’t having a shorter rod moving the the torque point lower? Making it stock rotation?

So no collapsed rods. Was it the valves or rings that were shot?
When are the new 12.5mm plungers and barrels going to be available?
When kind of engine stand is that?
Where is that shirt from
Have y'all ever thought about a marine block?
Its no different.
When is Looper getting on DDP TV.......???

@@bcbloc02 that's what I understood when a local pump shop explained it me to one time... thanks man 👍👍👊
@@bcbloc02 I also read it about it someplace...a diesel text book or something, but anyway 👍👊👊
run a savage fab turbo
Bearded men- put those mics on your hat to eliminate the noise
100 Agreed! I ❤️ the vids, but that noise was like nails on a chalkboard for me.
So excited for this build keep it up !!!!!
