I just made this exactly as instructed except omitting the salt. I'm making for my daughter with kidney disease. I prob could've thrown in a celery stick but it tastes great like it is. Thank you!
I would love to give you a challenge my friend, a lot of us people who have had to work in our home since last year may soon be going back to the workplace. And the challenge for me is to cook and carry in the same fresh healthy foods that I have been able to enjoy in my 8-hour work days at home via my own cooking. I have gone out to eat twice in the last 2 weeks and I found that the food in restaurants it's terrible and didn't taste healthy or for flavor. I need to be able to take snacks and a lunch with me and some days even breakfast and a dinner because we work a lot of hours and I bet that other people need this as well. I'm just putting this little idea in your head... Because you are the most clever of people and this is something that you could do in videos or make a whole cookbook out of.--- 'Wil Yeung's way of Healthy Portable lunches!!' Challenge given, Sir.👍🎵💡

I made this with absolute confidence tonight and it was so creamy and delicious (despite my coriander seeds being old enough to collect Social Security). It was so flavorful I couldn't wait for the rice to finish cooking before I ate half of it!
Lay Ho Ma! You just made one of my favorite dishes🌟and everything you said to describe the flavors is the reason why. I have yet to make this one myself, however, spinach has been one of my favorite veggies since I was a kid and eat it regularly. I believe I can now cook this one with confidence 🌟My brother whom I haven’t seen in 17 years is visiting in a few days, and we often share what we cook and enjoy eating via phone and text, and now in planning meals for his visit I’ve now added another one! Thank you, Wil ⭐️
This guy is amazing... I really like the way so simple that he cooks everything! Now I can cook with "absolut confidence" that kind of food that seemed impossible before.
The key reason of the exotic flavour is the garam masala which is already made up of 10- 12 different spices, then ginger garlic onion that gives it a little kick , sourness of tomatoes, with spinach smooth flavour creating the base of neutral paneer or tofu gives it a unique, classy yet rustic flavour. One of my favourite too.
Once again this recipe did not disappoint. One of my favorite Indian dishes, (in my pre-vegan days I used to make the paneer from scratch). I have 4 or 5 recipes from my time in India, which are all good, but this one is going to be my go to from now on. So simple, so flavourful so completely yummy and satisfying. Thank you!
Looks so delicious Wil. Would like to reveal one of my secrets on your channel (not traditional though but my inclusion). I like to add a handful of coriander leaves while blending everything. It gives an incredibly delicious flavor to the dish. Do try it once if you like coriander leaves. Thanks for sharing a dish from India. Take care🙏🏾
not only has every single one of your recipes (online and in your cookbooks) that I've made been chock full of flavour, but they're easy to do. Thank you.
Wow! There is not one ingredient in this awesome healthy and delicious dish that I cannot eat plus it has such healthy, easily obtained ingredients PLUS your wonderful video recipe instructions 🏆👍👍🏆Thank you so much Wil 😀 💖
There I was writing my shopping list thinking about what recipes I want to try out this week and BAM Wil's posted this. I loved paneer but for obvious reasons haven't had it for a while. My dreams have come true, and all I need to buy is an extra bag of spinach and some coconut cream!
This is on my list to make. Thanks! One thing I'm doing lately is recipes that call for turmeric, I add ground black pepper, and those that call for black pepper, I add a little turmeric. That combination is really great for your health and a little turmeric doesn't change the flavor in most dishes, and sometimes adds a nice yellow color.
That is true! But turmeric is also absorbed well with just about any sort of fat. You don't need black pepper with your turmeric unless you're drinking it with a cup of water alone :)
Omg this is the best cooking channel ever! So incredibly inspiring, high diversity of meals, all plant-based, delicious... But I always get hungry watching this 😂💚 Love you, Will!
Thank you so very much for this video! I made this tonight and it was so incredibly delicious. I am not a cook at all and this is the first time I've ever made a dish that tasted as good as one that I would be served in a restaurant. I am especially grateful for your instruction on how many minutes to saute and blend. For someone who is a total novice, this is what motivated me to give this recipe a try and it made all the difference. Massive amounts of appreciation, Wil!
This is the ONE dish I was so waiting to get vegoniezed !!! What I did is I also soaked tofu in the nutritional yeast and some garlic to give it more cheese taste . Came out so good ! The spinach sauce is the key just to get it right ! Thank you for this amazing receipe !!
I tried this and as an Indian, I thought this dish was absolutely awesome! You did a great job on this recipe! My husband loved it too. So tasty yet simple flavors. Thank you 🙏🏽 The place I’m from we don’t traditionally use or prefer paneer in our cooking so the tofu was the perfect light and flavorful alternative (I roasted it separately before putting it in) 😃
LAY HO MA! This is one of my favorite Indian dishes and I was so happy you made this and gave us a great recipe to follow. I made this tonight and the flavors!!!! 🌟Crazy incredible. I forgot to take the tofu out of the freezer, so made basmati rice, and only had a big mix of greens, kale, chard and spinach, and I wasn’t sure but I thought I have to give it a try and cook these greens. Simply incredible. 680 grams of greens, plenty left to make again with the tofu when it thaws. Yum!! Thank you ☀️ Stay well 💙
I don't know how anyone could thumbs down on this awesome recipe. Thank you Yeung, it's like you read my mind, I was just thinking about how to make vegan paneer, now I can make this with confident thanks to you:)
I made this for the first time and was my first time making one of your recipes. I didn't have any cumin or coriander seeds so i just used the powdered version and added tons more garlic. I'm happy to add this to my tiny but growing list of dishes to freeze and reheat later! thank you so much!
Wow! What a delicious dish. I cook vegan and my parents who visited me are not (and don't care for tofu), but this was so delicious that they didn't even miss the meat! This is going to go into my regular meal routine! So healthy and flavorful. I made a side or cauliflower rice and it paired soooooo well. Thank you for sharing your recipes with us!
Palak paneer is one of my favorite dishes. One year for my birthday many years ago I made the garam masala from scratch (and the cheese from local raw milk). It took all day but it was the best I’d ever had! Found a cheese and tofu substitute I love and a good organic garam masala spice brand. Happen to have most of the right ingredients on hand right now and came across your video. Such a delicious way to eat spinach. Warm and nourishing. Thanks for sharing!
