A very good adaptation the original layout to the room available . I personally like the junction section that leads to the storage area. Well done!
Thanks Stefan, the design as a lot of different scenes. Straight track, broad curves, windy single track, track over track and so on.

👍🏻👍🏻 I am sketching in the track now. That is the joy of designing a layout, at the beginning of a project we never know how it will turn out. But once finished I always seem to amaze the client and myself.
I like what you did.
Just a couple questions.
What do you anticipate as a slope?
What do you anticipate would be space between the hidden tracks and bottom of frame?
Hi Ken, slopes are an important part of a design if you have them. Common practice is to keep slopes under 1.75%. For track clearance I maintain the NMRA standard.
Beter to avoid slopes all together if you can.
You can see the design in detail on my patreon . Including where the slope onset begins and ends and the exact dimensions used that result in the remaining track clearance.

By the way, the landing page for your site has a strangely appearing misspelling of the word “Designing” in the line “Designing your vision.” On my Safari browser, on my iphone, it shows as “Desianing” with an “A” instead of a “G”. But when copied and pasted, it pastes with correct spelling.

Fantastic video as always. I have a question though - what trackage did you use for this adaptation? You seem to like using Kato Unitrack but im sure i spotted a curved turnout in this plan and i dont think Kato makes one of those. I wish i had your vision to adapt layouts - ive seen loads that i would love to have but space is severely restricted at home. Keep it up!
Hi Alan, this was made, if I recall correctly, with peco OO scale track. I can use any track system. I am currently working on an O scale 2x around the room using sectional track. Expect a video on that soon.
Track choice is upon clients request. Sometimes they ask for my experience and / or we debate what is best to use.
I guess a lot of N scale'rs just want kato unitrack.
I have 8x8 foot print . Wondering how to design an HO scale layout using 6 axle diesel locomotives for mainline running? With switching in industrial area and a town.
