Thanks for this. I was considering drilling the peened end of the rivet off, provided I can get a drill bit in there. If that fails I'll try grinding it. Also, great tip about the washers.
I have a 2014 aprilia rs4 125 and a few days ago my right footpeg broke off in an accident. On the internet I can only find overpriced replacements and I do not know if footpegs like this fit universally or not. If so I could just order any cheaper set online and not necessarily an original part. I thought you might know?
There are some universal pegs around but no real way to know if they’ll fit, likely will need modification. Also found these which look awfully similar to your pegs…might be worth a shot. You could also find parts diagrams and see if any other Aprilias have matching peg part numbers. Good luck www.ebay.com/itm/223020016588?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=YCZaUi8zQay&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Using a hand saw? A grinder should be quick. You could also drill out the top of the rivet which would be faster, but you’d have to either remove the rearset or the maybe the exhaust.
Dude thanks so much ! This video helped me big time.
Thanks for tips. I used a fein saw, that also did the job👌
Right on, thanks!

Drilling would work fine as long as you can keep the pin from spinning.
I figured it’s easier to zip off with the grinder. Hope it works out!
Use fire blanket or similar to keep sparks from any type of rust damage
Thanks alot very helpful
My wife HATES the passenger seating position. Any ideas on how to adjust it?
Such an annoying design by Yamaha with this. Of course this is the peg that broke for me too. LOL Thanks for the vid.

Is it the same for a 2008
Virtually the same process for the 2008-2016 R6!
