This has to be my favourite spot for sunrise photography during winter, and this was the best conditions I've had for ages! Despite my comments during the video, I'm really happy with the images I got. At the time I was worried about missing the beautiful colour of the clouds, but I really love the more intimate tree shots with the misty colour...might need to trust myself more 😁 If you want to see more of this place, you can find all my sunrises here in this playlist ruclips.net/p/PLLU-Bndc6csVF-PNet33j15xNquNEoGQR
You really seemed to have a great experience and enjoyment, being so early and smiling, great to watch. Also great mindset. Love that Pan.. View, never seen such a beautiful scenery. Thanks for sharing Lisa.
It was such a magical morning...I went hoping for mist but no expectation of all that colour! It's such a lovely collection of trees out there - I'm very lucky. Next time I'm going to take my bigger tripod so it's easier to shoot over all the plants. Thanks so much Roy, glad you enjoyed it!
Yep I'm very fortunate. It's the only place like this that I know of anywhere around where I live, where there are characterful trees but more open area (well, open of other trees and scrub...not open to walk through! 😁)
Thanks so much David! Yeah the cobweb really caught my eye...there are so many out there to see in the early morning dew that get almost completely hidden during the day...it's magic!
That was fun, and funny! I really need to get up earlier in the morning to get those beautiful colors. Loved the pano and I'm still trying to get a decent spiderweb. Boy, did you ever get a good one!! Sooooo jealous!
Yeah I find it hard to get up early, particularly when it's cold, but yeah it's such a wonderful time of day! This is such a great spot for spiderwebs...you come out in the afternoon and can hardly see any, but in the morning they're everywhere! There's something so magical about a spiderweb with dew glistening on it. Thanks so much Juanita!
Hi Lisa, I enjoyed your video and I like your shots, impressive pano shot. Also, I smiled when I saw you change your lens without laying down your bag because that’s exactly what I do🙂.
Ended up being stunning in the end. Love that big pano! Great trees for it that's for sure. No wonder you had trouble working that one out. Keep enjoying that spot hey!
I couldn't have asked for better conditions - definitely wasn't expecting it! Yep I think there's lots more images to be had down there. Thanks so much Denise!
Omg that sunrise just exploded and the fog and atmosphere! Id probably freak out the same way as you did. 😂 Amazing! Enjoyed this one and wonderful images.
Haha I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one! It's been a long time since I've been out with such a good sunrise, I didn't know what to do 🤣 Thanks so much!
I went hoping for the mist and got so lucky with the light. I got woken up by some animal outside making a racket so I have it to thank for getting to experience it 😁 Thanks so much!
I so enjoyed being able to join you on this outing , your enthusiasm, your joy and all the natural beauty you see and share, from the gorgeous spiderweb to the amazing pano and so much in between! 🙏
What a stunning morning Lisa! Those trees are majestic and your images were beautiful in that light. I think my fav was at 8 min mark…oh and I enjoyed the cows too! You have more patience than me, 49 photos in pano is incredible and that it’s an amazing image - enter in Epson Pano Awards if you haven’t already 🎉
Thank you so much Adrian! I was back at this place this morning, and while I didn't have any mist I had lots of cows! 😄 This one calf came up to me curiously and ended up trying to chew on my bag, filter case and leg, was trying to rub its head on me and the tripod, and stuck it's head under the tripod. It was cute to start with but I couldn't get it to leave me alone 😂 I ended up having to pick all my stuff up and walk away for fear of my camera ending up on the ground...it came up and harrassed me twice more before finally leaving me alone 🤣 I'd forgotten all about the Epson Pano Awards.
What a magic morning. I love your excitement over these conversations and this location. You certainly made the most of the fleeting morning light. Brilliant and beautiful ❤️
I went hoping for mist but had no expectation for the colour...it was something else! Very lucky I got woken up early. Thanks so much Abbi, glad you enjoyed it 💗
Gorgeous photos as usual Ms. Lisa. 48 for the pano, WOW! (I watched from a hotel room in Pittsburgh while waiting to get dressed for my daughter’s wedding.)
Great stuff Lisa! That was fun and you got some great images. That spot is wonderful. I love finding a photogenic place like that. I've been working a runoff pond with some geese raising their goslings. I guess I need to do a video...
Yep it's wonderful having this spot close by...wish I'd taken more photos there over the years! That must be lovely seeing the goslings grow. Thanks so much Jon!
I really enjoyed this video. Not only were the images beautiful, but listening to your commentary was insightful and entertaining. It was a much needed boost to my self esteem to see you deal with the few distractions that morning. Most times I go out with my camera, I struggle with finding a good composition, and missing the perfect light. Your work and patience are inspiring. Many thanks.
I'm so glad to hear the video gave you a boost Jay. I need to have a chat in a video some time about composition in more depth, as I don't think I view it in the same way as how I hear it being spoken about by many other photographers in their videos. For me it's about what subject captures my interest, and then the composition happens by feel, and I guess you could say gut instinct, rather than really thinking about it. For me I find thinking too much can get in the way of taking photos I really like. Different things work for different people, and it's about finding the way that works for you, regardless of how other photographers may go about it. Thanks so much!
Hi Lsa. i don't write as frecuently as I would like but I want to say that your photos and the way you describe those places inspire me to continue learning how to see and to find the beauty even in places i have already been and don' give up. Thank you.
Thank you so much Samuel for your kind words. That's lovely to hear! Continuing to visit local places and discover new images has been such a rewarding experience for me.
Thanks Ted! Haha yes....I actually didn't think about my drone at all until the light was gone. I did a lot of babbling to the camera that morning that I didn't end up putting in the video otherwise it would have been 25 mins long 😄 but that occurred to me after taking the one photo with the drone...for some reason I'm not very comfortable taking photos with the drone though...need more practice!
@@LisaFrostPhoto Couple of hints on the drone shots... 1. Look at some of the footage you take to see if you spot something interesting. You may then have an idea for a still shot. 2. A drone is a tripod that can go places you cannot!
Yes it was such an enjoyable morning! I dare say he wouldn't be happy with people deliberately disturbing them...I do try to stay out of their way but they can get curious at times (I had one come up behind me while I was filming the others), and this morning I just happened to be standing in the wrong spot...when I arrived there were no cows to be seen and then all of a sudden they wanted to get past! 😄 The area is part of a local council park now which the public has access to, and the farmer leases back. I think the area was gotten under compulsory acquisition, which I imagine the farmer would prefer not to have happened. I've never seen many people out there, so hopefully they don't have any issues with people causing issues with the cows and everyone is able to use and enjoy the area. Thanks Marvin!
Thanks so much Peter! No I don't need to ask the farmer - it's a bit of an unusual situation. The entire area used to be a farm, then the local council acquired a large part of it (I think under compulsory acquisition), and now that paddock is part of a park which the public have access to, but the farmer still leases it out for his cattle (which I would think would work for the council as the area would require less maintenance). I think the farmer would have preferred to have kept their land, as I believe it had been in their family for many generations. It is a lovely spot though, and I'm grateful to be able to access it to photograph. In spite of the recent interactions, I do try to keep out of the way of the cattle, and other than them sometimes being a little curious they seem unfazed by my presence. I've never seen many people out there, so I hope that the arrangement is working ok for everyone.

Aaaahhhhh Lisa, thanks for keepin' it real as always 🤣 and 🏅for the non destructive housekeeping. Images at 6:15 and 14:50 are my favourites.
Hahaha I do my best to 🤣 Thanks so much Sue!

Looks an absolutely gorgeous scene. A lovely video with excellent images Lisa. Thank you.
Thank you so much Alex! 🙏
I had to get out of the way... The cows were coming 😂. I bet that has never been said in a photography video. Looks like a fun outing.
Probably not 🤣 Yep definitely a favourite!
What a great adventure Lisa, really well done video.
Thank you so much Richard 🙏
@@LisaFrostPhoto You're welcome Lisa
Nice shots, Lisa, paricularly like the landscape with the cobweb in the negative space.

Always a happy hunting ground that place. Nice shots Lisa.

The wide pano really works, some stories need to be told extra wide and that image takes me there.
Thanks so much Mark, I'm really glad you like it! It only felt right to me super wide 😊
OMG That Light, The Fog... The Trees!!! I am Super Jealous :( Nice Video And Awesome Shots !!! WOW

Beautiful spot to photogragh. Love all your shots, well done.
