The showcase Porsche is the previous model which was orange and green. The one in the game is the 2nd latest 997 GT3 RS that came in grey/white and red.
I love that Criterion is very loyal to the old 90s NFS and how they value each car and its manufacturer. Too bad most of the people in the community only cares about cUsToMiZaTiOnS.
Even with the newer Need for speed games emphasizing customization, I really never did anything to my cars except for paint and like small decals....just seems obnoxious

That's what they get for trying to please only the NFS fans and not the entire racing game community.

Agreed. 90s clips with that soundtrack are timeless classics. These looks just like randomly picked from their own past commercials (considering it's 2020 and they're all out of production cars it's only natural these companies don't give a shit) I can see the attempt here but those 90s magic isn't something that can be replicated so easy

There are so many showcases of Porsches here. Well, it makes sense, as EA had an exclusivity given from Porsche themselves for their cars at the time of original Hot Pursuit 2010. No other company could feature Porsches in their games besides EA for 16 years.
Interestingly I think these were ment to be a part of showcase events, since they are heavily partnered with porsche and Mercedes after all and some have their manufacturer only events in the game (blacklisted for example) it was probably too late to add it in development however so they just stuck it in as extras. It's interesting to see how in the 918 showcase video there's the beta driver model for this game too. I wonder why this was only taken out on pc
If you already have the 2010 version it is not very worth it (especially if you have the PS3/Xbox 360 version with all the DLC) you get the same stuff with minor changes like crossplay multiplayer, DLCs from consoles with 3 less cars, color pallete and barely noticeable textures that some are worse in the remastered than the original. If you haven't played it better buy the PC version (since you can add some mods if they will be from nfsmods while the consoles you can't add mods) and it is 10 dollars cheaper plus it doesn't require that powerful PC. But still if you don't have the game better wait for discount. Paying the full price of this 10 year old game is ridiculous.

It takes quite long, about 15+ hours as you also need to do online races and tedious stuff like slipstream for a total time of 2 hours.
