Not a Utes fan, but I do have to respect Whitt for always getting his teams mentally ready...and for being a master clock manager. Utah is much better with a passing offense.
The Utes controlled that game. Bama only mustered 3 points, the rest were off of turnovers. It was a refreshing video to watch to give Bama fans nightmares.
@@shadowsayer1516 hmmm, funny, when I look up the national champion for that year, it doesn’t mention Utah anywhere. But good job reviving a 2 year old dead chat.
@@jdsvedin878although they were not BCS champions for 2008, in 2018 the NCAA recognized Utah as National Champions for the 2008 season. The NCAA looked back at the rankings and determined they had the best resume even better than Florida, Texas and Oklahoma
@@lasuzzoeagle1 Bama had a great O-line in 2008. My last comment was based on that. And the fact that the amount of time needed is 100% relative to the ability of the QB to make quick decisions.
Alabama was #1 all season long until they lost in the SEC championship game. They barely miss out on the national championship game and then have to play a perceived nobody in Utah. Alabama was deflated and didn't want to be there after such heartbreak. You can't convince me that if this were actually for the national title that Utah still would've won. Bama would've actually been motivated all game, from the start, and would've beat Utah.

This was such an exciting game. That first quarter was amazing.
Man that D line was something else.
Yes it was. Lol
That D. Kruger, Shelby, Sly and so on. Brian Johnson performed surgery that day. Go Utes

Alabama needs a good ass kicking now, Alabama fans need to get humbled.
At least give them credit for executing a punt return
No formula needed! National champs
I didn't know Florida played in this game.
@@jdsvedin878 Utah was recognized as co-national champion by the NCAA. A shame they didn't get to play Florida of course though.

I didn't see Britain Covey? Where was he?
Out with a concussion sadly
Britain Covey was 11 years old in 2008.
Good ole John 'Panic' Wilson... probably the best QB in the history of football practice...
He had no time at all to even make a read
@@timothycunningham578 I agree. A capable QB, however, would have had plenty of time.
@@BG-bx4ey I don’t think that has to do with the QB. That sounds like an Oline issue.

Utah flat out wanted this one more. Period.

i can’t believe nick saban lost to utah
Neither can Nick Saban.
Utah literally was awarded a National Championship by the NCAA that year. They were a better team.

A consolation game and Utah hasn't done shit since. Bye.
😂😆 Except for being Pac12 champions
Yeah, the Sugar bowl is a consolation game. Only to homers that can’t stand seeing their team lose to anyone outside the SEC.

Wrong. Lol salty Bama fan.
@Rollie Pollie that's not exactly an accomplishment these days.
