    Nothing can be taken away from his college career despite his actions in the pros. He definitely had great players around him, but he was a terrific runner and could make unreal throws (back across the body, etc).

We lost this game but we never quit and we learned a lot about the future - and what college football was going to look like. It's turned out pretty well. Roll Tide.

      SLITHERx CONJURING problem is his off the field issues really wasn't why he was under performing in the NFL. Jonny knew how to run and make plays when the pocket collapsed that's all he knew. He was never a pocket passer. He barely studied defenses because he didn't have too he made all his plays on the run that's all he knew. Excellent college player could have been a decent NFL player with the proper education and work ethic. He was a star he was popular. He cared more for the fame than anything. I can name 50 reasons why Manziel didn't make it in pro level without going into his off the field issues.

    This was the best team in the nation last season, no doubt about it. They're probably the best team in the nation this year as well, as long as Manziel can handle the pressure of being taunted by the other teams & the fans without getting himself into trouble.

  • @HenrySosenite
    @HenrySosenite 11 лет назад +3

    Agreed. The awesome thing about Manziel in that game was that a lot of his best throws & runs came more than 5 seconds after the ball was snapped, after he got under pressure and found a way out of it. That might be the key to beating Alabama, and yet neither team really has a way to plan for it.

    To with in on the Manziel vs. Mariota debate, I find it very difficult to compare the two, as they are both very different players who are asked to do different things on offense. Manziel is asked to do much more through the air than Mariota and is probably a more dangerous scrambler as well, but Mariota is more consistent, less mistake-prone, and can throw with better touch. I would say right now each of them is best for their respective teams.

    Can someone please help me understand why such an uproar about this guy. Other the scrambling, what does he have. He has a week arm. So many passes from what i seen are wobbly. I dont watch college football much so please why did he win the heisman and what is so good about him.

    yeah, but he's still got at least 2 more years at college level where he can improve.
    He's a freshman and he's doing this.
    Potential HOF player

    Three takeaways from this. 1. Johnny manziel was different 2. Texas A&M’s defense played a huge role in this win 3. the SEC is different

    Looking back, Johnny was not an NFL QB. He's a RB in a QB position.

      Nah disagree no such thing as a rb at qb he just folded in the pros no rb has arms like him and lamar just because a qb can kill you with there legs doesn't make them a rb at qb its called a dual threat he made some throws in college your low football iq is showing with that foolish statement he'd be way to small for a rb

    Johnny manziel will do good in the nfl he is a heisman winner and he beat bama in 2012 and almost in 2013 and bama is a hard team beat because of they defense
