Dear Doug, interesting background and history on this cool kit. From the black and white photos you showed, it’s obvious the inspirational source for this kit design is a downtown store. I do understand the kit as it is, has potential for being modeled on its own, or as a small town structure. However, it would be interesting when the kit also comes in a version which reflects the downtown feel of the prototype. Maybe with the possibility of a second floor between the store front part and the upper floor wall section with the cornice piece. I imagine this structure being cramped in by several other architectural contemporaries and possibly a newer development. Cheerio
Agreed. Great looking stand alone structure, but man, that bay window on the prototype sure is great, as is that unique wheel-and-spoke fire escape, and the wrought iron railings next to the basement entry, and the offset door...and wasn't the prototype three stories tall? Sill, it looks neat as-is and hopefully will sell well just on the novelty of that pistol sign.
Boug, great looking kit. The details are certainly notching up to more incredible levels. Rats on the rubbish!!! Thank you for sharing, cheers, and stay safe, Michael
This and all fos scale models are awesome. I would love to be able to afford a fos scale model. Being on disability with limited income makes it nearly impossible.
This goes on my to buy some day soon list. Love your attention to detail. This has to be the only model in the world with a scale trash can crawling with rats.
Doug, love how you're integrating more brick into the structures. Also, do a in shop clinic soon. They're so much fun!
HI Jamie....Clinics sometime this year!
Thanks, Doug! Kool kit and to see some of what you go through to put a kit together was very interesting. And a peek at the layout - very good!
