      The video says the hat was made of beaver pelt. I believe that is incorrect. It's rabbit fur. She sure is a very attractive woman!

    Can we take a moment to appreciate how good she looks? All I heard was 40th Aniv. with the costume designer, who looks younger then 30, Kuddos!

      As of right now she's 69 years old. I hope I manage to age half as well!

      Younger than 30? Think you need your eyes checked man. She looks good for her age definitely. But if you look like this at 30 you’re doing something wrong

    I never seen The Blues Brothers all the way through. I never realized Steven Spielberg was in the Blues Brothers or that a meeting on the Blues Brothers was to talk about doing Indiana Jones.

    Doesn't add up since the Akubra Auatralian model has vent holes in he sides of the hat and the Poet does not.

      The original hat is from Herbert Johnson in London.

      @@guylewis7418 I know, but she said she got the hat from the Australian model and modified it. If Herbert Johnson made it, how could that be so? The Australian model has one side of the brim turned up on the left side and it has vent holes in it. Not the same hat at all.

    She calls it the “Australian Model” with the upturned brim on one side. So where did the “Poet” title come into play? Deborah never mentions any hats made with that title. Seems like there’s some contradiction going on here…..

    What is she talking about? They just copied Charlton Heston’s look from the other previous movie.

      A lot more goes into it than that, but good on you for oversimplifying it I guess?

      @@JDJohnston9906753 you don’t think it deserved at least some credit? It is exactly the same look as in the 1954’s movie.

      @@ramirodeiturralde8029 there are several movies and serials that Indy's look comes from. Secret of the Incas is just one of many. I think we're all fairly aware of the influences, and I'm fairly certain that the filmmakers have given these films credit when they've mentioned them as influences on multiple occasions. My point is that she didn't just "copy a look". There are a lot of differences in Indy's costume that are very different from Heston's. Also, she didn't just design one costume for Indy and call it a day. She outfitted the entire production. You're selling the costumer designer's job incredibly short if you think all she did was "copy a look".

    Ok, so Steven gave her two movies as research "China" and "secret of the Incas". She literally just copied and pasted other costume designers outfits.....art thief
