- In this episode of Exit and Emergency, I show off direct-view LED exit signs and what makes them different from most signs. I also have Christmas lights strung around my room which makes the exit signs really stand out. I also have two brand new emergency lights! I hope you all enjoy!

Awesome! This is by far my favorite of the series because of how awesome these signs are
Thunderbolt 1003 ikr
That is pretty cool they should make those flash
This is awesome! I love the Christmas lights and the new exit signs they look cool!
Love these type of exit signs. Seen these at the Lloyd center mall
Yeah Lloyd Center has these, looks very nice
Those units are awesome!
I bought 2 of the ELM2L as well for $20. Local home depot had them on clearance and I knew I wasn't going to get them for that cheap anywhere else so I got 2 and I am really happy with them. Very bright for such a small head and 1 LED.
Also, I believe with your green sign the runtime is actually 12 hours on flashing and 6 on steady
That’s what I thought. However when I checked the label it said 8 on flashing and 4 on steady.
Hey I have a first gen Gilbert! They’re quite nice signs. I have the green color which makes it extra cool,
The green sign reminds me of some signs just like that one at a pho restaurant but they replaced them
Nice green led exit sign
My school has those lights! And I saw them blink when campus lost power
Love the signs! Great job!
My favorite emergence light is the Dual lite LMW40I-FX
My local Bob Evans has the same signs as the one above your door
The model of the Gilbert exit sign is LED1EMGWW. That is one of my favorite sign because of the LEDS and how it is on the inside. The inside dose not look as cheap as the newer Chinese models that don’t put transformers.
My elementary school had these in their portables, except in red. I thought they were really cool looking.
love you bunches exitsign250
My school has a Gilbert direct view already and it has a red LEDs in it.
I have the master remote duo version of the hubbell direct view led sign
EpicSign
Nice video. I like that song at the end of the video
Those look great! Love the flashing and the X-mas lights! I always figured Hubbell was the original manufacturer and Dual-Lite later rebranded after Hubbell discontinued all Hubbell-branded emergency lighting in favor of Dual-Lite and Presco-Lite. Pretty interesting stuff! Also the older Gilbert sign looks awfully similar to a Sure-Lites R2CX sign... I wonder why that is?
Yes. It is the same sign with Gilbert’s electronics. I believe when Gilbert first started out they just rebranded Sure-Lites (who already had their R-2CX sign rebranded by tons of companies) so they didn’t have to design a sign. Later models used an in-house design. I had mentioned this in the video, but removed it because it dragged on to the video.
I’m a bit late, but I must ask, do the Gilbert EX-1 or EX-2 last as long as the green sign you have on emergency mode?
I’m assuming by “green sign” you’re talking about the Hubbell Pathfinder (rebrand of the newer Gilbert signs) above my door. If that’s case, the Hubbell Pathfinder/newer Gilbert lasts 8 hours when flashing, while the Gilbert EX-1 LED lasts 4 hours on flash. The Pathfinder/new Gilbert also has an option to remain steadily lit during emergency mode, and in that mode it lasts 4 hours.

Awesome! Yes, I meant the Hubbell Pathfinder in the video when I said “green sign” haha. Thanks!
The Gilbert sign will last 12 hours in flashing mode, 6 hours in solid emergency mode.
Great video
Nice video! Do you ever plan on making videos devoted to only door closers? I miss those types of videos...
Thanks! Yes. I do plan to return that series. The simple reason on why I haven’t is because one one closer is currently installed. That would be pretty boring to only show off one closer. I’m planning on installing more and I’ve ordered new ones too. Hopefully by the beginning of the year I’ll be ready to return the series.
I have a question. Are fire lite products good quality and reliable? Thanks. Awesome new exit signs btw!
The products I’ve had are pretty good. I’d consider Fire-Lite a good company.
@@ExitSign250 awesome! Thanks man!
@@ExitSign250 Are notifier products the same products as firelite just with the notifier name put on them?
Caleb Morand Depends. For the lower end notifier stuff, yes. It’s just a rebrand of Fire-Lite. However for Notifier’s higher end products, they are manufactured just for Notifier. Devices such as pull stations, detectors, etc. are the same as what Fire-Lite and Silent Knight use, but just with the respective brand labeled on it, and using different addressable protocol. (If addressable)
@@ExitSign250 makes sense. Thank you!
I just realized that my high school has these in a black shell...
I have one but with red letters and it’s ac only

Great vid
Why is it so fat lol 4:01
TheJakeman789 Dont fat shame it. 😂
Love that older Gilbert exit. Whenever I have seen these on eBay I've always wondered where the covers for the arrows were.
Yeah! I did too. I never knew there were dip switches to control them. Pretty interesting.
My school has a lot of those.
Watch it at 0.25x To see a Glimpse of one of the Gilbert exit signs off
