    This looks really good too, compared to the WW2 version. Looks pretty straight forward as well, which is always good for a war game! Thanks again.

      I actually like the WW2 one a bit more. The stealth is great, but I lose more with WW2 ;)

    Just sleeved this game up. I've been playing Warfighter WW2 with a friend. We each take a soldier and a few squadies or NPC's with us. We work our own card hands and discuss strategy together.
    I'm looking forward to playing this with him soon. Thank you for providing a walkthrough for people to see how it plays out.
    18:00 I do believe that is wrong. The suppressed is what the weapon is (-3) noise suppression. Burst I believe takes two shots, but only targeting one target. I believe you need the word "Spray" to hit multiple targets. Is this correct?
    21:00 Santiago can't retreat. He already made a move action this turn. Each solider can only make one move per turn per the base rules.
    22:10 The hostiles shouldn't have moved. Hostiles that are "paused or going for alarm" skip movement (Page 61 of rule book)
    23:11 The movement of each solider should have caused 1 additional noise, unless they make sure Shadows roll.
    23:42 Not sure why you think you don't need to roll for sound because of lack of hostiles. Can you point out that rule to me (where to find in rulebook?) I'm looking at page 58 and I don't see anything.
    26:55 Noise is only going down by 1. You are on the third location and as per the mission card, location 3+ only has an activity of 2 now, not 3 anymore.
    35:38 Again, why do you think the second reticle is suppressed. You just mentioned that only spray and explosion affects more than one reticle.

    • @Mark-2509
      @Mark-2509 2 месяца назад +1

      Keyword sheet "Suppressed" When you inflict an EKIA on a Hostile with a Suppressed Weapon Attack, in addition to placing an EKIA counter, also place place a Suppressed counter on the Hostile card.
      Also mentioned in the extended example on page 63 of the Universal Rulebook V4 so Mike played it correct.

    i really enjoy this system. I have Modern and several extra packs. The "setup" (choosing your team/gear) is just as much fun as the actual missions. The only negative I can personally think of with this game is the rules are not always clear purely because there are so many different versions of the game with SLIGHTLY different rules. The universal rulebook is a good idea, but still gets confusing since the examples are not always accurate to the version you are playing.

    Burst would only kill one hostile and suppress the other. Using burst improves your chance as you roll two dice, but also increases your chance of rolling a reload

    • @OneStopCoopShop
      @OneStopCoopShop  4 года назад +3

      If you are referring to the early attack I make with my assault rifle, the rules are different when you draw one of the KIA unaware tokens. In that special case, you get to inflict one KIA for each die you roll, so it breaks the usual rule of only one KIA/Suppress per attack (without Spray or Explosive).

      The Modern and WW2 versions are a bit simpler, and may be a good way to start.
      If you enjoy it, I'd recommend either Hornet Leader or Phantom Leader as another DVG solitaire system that has similarities (buying, equipping, and going through the mission) if you're at all interested in doing an air strike campaign.

    • @OneStopCoopShop
      @OneStopCoopShop  4 года назад +1

      @nefariouskoel I am SO looking forward to trying Thunderbolt Apache Leader in particular, because Liz from Beyond Solitaire says it’s one of her favorites.

    • @NefariousKoel
      @NefariousKoel 4 года назад

      @@OneStopCoopShop - Thunderbolt Apache Leader is the best of the series. Due to it's randomized terrain hexes every mission, which you must also take into account for your strategy, and more detailed damage. Of course, those also introduce more rules to the system so keep that in mind.
      DVG's Leader system has a bit of a puzzle-like strategy to it, but I've really enjoyed them. I'm not really into puzzle-solving, but the mix of prep, strategy, and press-your-luck makes it a great mixture.

    thank you so much for putting this video out. This is the first one I've seen that is up to date on the rules and walk through a playthrough. I'm a little intimidated even having come from the modern daytime game. I plan to watch this video and try to learn a few things before my game arrives. One question, you said that the night vision goggles come for free but still cost one of his slots. I had not been playing that way, is this a common rule to the other versions of war fighter as well? I thought if they came for free you didn't have to include them in The Load-Out. I figured that number would already reflect the equipment he has for free.

    • @OneStopCoopShop
      @OneStopCoopShop  4 года назад

      I can’t say with 100% certainty. But it seems to make more sense to me to include them. They already have the “loadout” keyword where their weight is less than or more than their cost. Since they didn’t use it, I think it costs 1? I dunno :)

    question about the reactionary force.
    so it's mid turn... you pop the alarm... the first locations mobilize and you draw the first reaction force.
    then it's the end of turn step. this means you'd mobilize the next location and draw an additional Reaction force?
    does it attack the turn it is drawn as well -if able?
