Leon being so soft-spoken & underrated for years just makes the moment (and watchback) that much more special/legendary.
His personality has been shining ever since 🍻
Headshot dead!...
Goosebumps every damn time. LOOK AT ME NOW!
absolutely inspiring
the most emotional belt winning interview ever....
It was an absolutely epic moment. It sends shivers up my spine....
When he said I was born in a wooden shed i had more goosebumps
Belal is coming for revenge and he will take it.
That speech will be in my mind forever.. thanks Leon for inspiring alot of us
His coach too
Absolutely. People already forgot about it. For me this one is hall of fameworthy.
Pound-for-pound what?! Pound-for-pound what?!
There is no Pound-for-Pound.. The belt belongs to nobody!!
It's knowing how soft spoken he is most of the time that makes it even better.
Voice went hoarse and deep from emotion.
“Look at me now!”
Still have so many questions.. like how hard he hit his head on the canvas when he took usman down.. how angry he must have felt after Herb put him back after a fence grab while Usman got away with it a few seconds before..
The fact that he stayed so patience is unreal.. even after Usman following him and trying to get under his skin after rounds.
I watched this fight back so many times..wish could get that live feeling back.
Good luck Rock march 18!
I just wanna know if his shin was throbbing the next day from hitting a literal rock
@@chimpalahee Haha! Yes wanna know that answer too
Usman is a dirty fighter and cheats every fight and I dont expect the next one to be any different
Obsessed
agreed, i’ve rewatched it so many times
I really hope he wins the next one as well. Will solidify him. Lots of people think it was a fluke.
It wasn’t a fluke because it was well timed and well executed however if it went the distance usman would’ve won by majority decision in my opinion
Only the stoners think it was a fluke, the rest know he was practising that exact kick before the walk out!
It was
@@rng_snipes0168 it’s everyone opinion lol
@@NebraskaPoliceDepartmenthe literally set it up with that fake one two...
One of the best post fight speeches in history. Possibly only tied with McGregor’s double champ apology. What else is there? I’m definitely missing someone’s
IM NOT SURPRISED MOTHAFUCKA
Conor double champ interview was cringe. Tf
@@TransitionedToASharkwhat? That is silly. He was oozing with charisma and badassery
@@TransitionedToAShark conor haters really won't give him anything
"HE'S. STILL. MY. BOY!!!"
Pound for pound head shot dead
Still giving me chills
Leon is such a humble man and he came literally from the slums, nobody deserves it more than him
I agree buh am rooting for da night mare Finna bring dat belt home
Anyone who comes from a favela does . Saddest way to live
I thought Usman is also from the slums too
@@nwachukwudarlington3633 nah, his family has always been doing well economically
@@hakunamatata-w3873 no not really he used to live in a village in Auchi
So proud of him, I couldn't stop screaming when he ko'd Usman.. Well done Rocky!
I’ll never forget the feeling of watching this live. The combo was there all night and he landed it perfectly.
Every single time I watch that end speech I get tears in my eyes man.
He had one of the greatest post fight interviews of all time
Leon definitely gave us one of the greatest post fight interviews. “Pound for pound, head shot dead done”
More than a Champion. What a Inspirational Man. Honor for Mum and Dad. The Best back Story and the realist emotionally Moving Victory speech in the history of MMA.
That's a masterpiece of an interview!!!
Head shot dead gives me goosebumps every time I watch this.
LOOK AT ME NOW
Leon is such a humble dude. Rooting for him in the trilogy.
Such a genuine and humble guy. So refreshing to see in ufc
The moment of him crying to his mom gets me emotional. Long road, hard work and constant hurdles and to do what he did.. man, we all want that in our lives.
I’ve watched this moment about 3 million times now….. and I’ll continue to watch it everytime I see it come up anyway ❤❤❤❤ WHAT A MOMENT. LEON DONE EVERYONE PROUD 🇬🇧 🇯🇲
🇬🇧🇯🇲
Can't wait for Usman to reclaim that belt
@@moonvenerable7897 staying in brum brev
Usman is the real champ 🇳🇬👑
@@clintondiala8949Is he awake?
This has to be one of the best comebacks in combat history Leon Edwards can write or sell his life story and make a movie when he retires of course.
"Yep" - Leon Edwards
People are sleeping on Leon in the rematch, we have no idea how Kamaru is gonna come back after that knockout. Getting flatline koed at 35 years old isn’t good for any fighter.
also not fighting at altitude either
I still remember i was about to turn of the TV and then it came, headshot bang ! So happy for him, one of the greatest knockouts ever, considering all on the line
This was an amazing interview. Every second. Especially how Leon was so honest and frank about his upbringing and what this means to him. Massive thanks to everyone, what an inspiration.
Epic battle between two unique fighters. The one who talks like he's telling bonfire scary stories all the time vs the one who talks all the time like his voice is trembling of fear for no reason.
I've watched UFC for roughly 6 years now.. This is my number one moment I've witnessed.
The fight looked like it was over, then BANG! HEADSHOT!
The post fight speech still makes me emotional watching it!
Love to see Leon do it again
It was just like a movie!!!i get goosebumps every time!!!!
Loved this! Can tell he’s such a genuine bloke aswell! “LOOK AT ME NOWWW” 👊🏻
"Pound 4 pound headshot dead" haha yes Leon
Lucky shot
@@clintondiala8949 Usman is lucky he left the hospital that night, Headshot!
Look at how happy he gets when he sees the kick again “what a shot”, hes smiling through the whole interview tbh
I remember meeting Leon years ago. He's a top dude. When he was on that winning streak at about 7 or 8 matches he was more or less on the longest winning streak in the division and nobody in the states gave him the time of day as he wasn't controversial, he's a nice dude. When he eventually got the shot and won, people still discredited him and said fluke. I really want him to win to shut them up. Go ROCKY
Leon Edwards is the definition of a mixed martial artists, such well rounded skill set. At the top were he deserves to be.
My favorite moment of the year.. and this has nothing to do with Usman but everything to do with Edwards.. so happy for the man 👊
It feels good to see someone from my hometown on top of the world, Leon is an inspiration and a great role model💯
Jamaica or Birmingham ?
@@SonOftheBattleCry I meant Birmingham but I know he was born in Jamaica.
He is a true inspiration, represented the UK/Jamaica so well. A true martial artist inspiring millions through hard work, skill and a resilience like no other! What a guy!
Well done mum for not taking a pointless jab! Let’s go champ! My jaw dropped when that kick landed.
Absolutely one of the most shocking and unforgettable moments in UFC history. I'll never forget crumbling to the floor of my living room and burying my face in my hands, not from grief, not from glee, but from shock. It was truly out of nowhere and will stand forever as a defining moment of this era of mma.
Definitely, I've never felt such a change of energy from zero to 110. Madness
This just made me love leon even more! What a guy
The after speech gives goosebumps
I never knew he did the headshop thing at the start. Crazy. Like he’s psychic without knowing it.
Watching this while on the pan, great video so far lads… Exhilarating!
Lol that thumbnail. The sheer joy as he relives knocking Usman tf out 😂
Probably the most unexpected and historic knockouts in UFC history🎉.
The greatest mma knockout ever for me. Especially with the way the fight was going and to win a world title like that.then the post fight interview
Nick's fishing for tears haha
Leon’s post fight interview gives me goosebumps every time. Hearing that crack in his voice and the outpouring of emotion is as real as it gets! 👊🏼
Thanks Leon. It's a victory for everyone who has been pushed down, stepped on, told they couldn't do it. Your victory will forever keep me going.
Man this gives me chills, that post fight speech and the pure character of Leon “Rocky” Edwards. What a top bloke.
Damn. My tear ducts slipping during the discussions about his dad
Was seriously happy to hear that Leon won! His reaction “what a shot” mans deserves it.
Leon such a humble down to earth guy
What a moment for Leon this was. Never get tired ot reliving it. Hoping he also wins the rematch.
No one deserves it more than leon. True champion
Absolutely positively the greatest post fight speech for me. Nothing ever came close, nothing ever will
Leon is such a good dude and seems like a really authentic person, and I’m so glad that it went down like this. I wish he had the ability to make Usman wait and win a fight before a rematch, but I have to admit that Usman deserves an instant rematch if anybody does.
Man i still have a huge smile on my face everytime i see this wow emotions man 👊
This is great Leon winning the title is one of the greatest moments I’ve ever seen watching mma his story, the comeback in the 5th after his coach fired him up, the post fight interview, phone call with his family amazing his hard work paid dividends
I love this man and his story. He is really Rocky Balboa with this fantastic win. Nobody will take this away from him. He made history.
Congratulations Sir
I remember seeing one of these videos of Darren Till reacting to his fight with Gastelum. I like these videos, I hope BT keeps doing them.
Leon's story is so powerful🔥
Greatest finish & post fight interview of all time
Watched this live on a carvan Park in Devon on my summer holiday and woke up the whole carvan park at 5:30 in the morning after that head kick. Amazing leon
My biggest regret of 2022 was having to see this knockout on replay, was watching the entire fight and of course the second i look down to check my phone i hear Joe and Daniel get excited.
He put Usman on stand-by mode
best ufc knockout ever
I fell off my couch when I saw that kick like unbelievable man congrats to him he truly deserved this 1...💯💯💯
The knockout always puts a smile on my face 😁 pfp headshot dead that’s it
GOOSEBUMPS! That post fight interview is iconic
Love this guy.. I will never forget watching him at UFC London and the ‘fans’ alllll wanted Gunnar Nelson to win it was insane.. now he’s champ and headlining a UFC event in London. What a guy.
So good to watch this back.. in my memory I remember him getting beaten up for 24 mins.. I forgot he had crazy crazy fatigue.. changes my mind a bit on the rematch
F***ing class! What a story, what a journey!! Really hope he wins the rematch. Certainly inspired me!👏
Really rooting for leon to win this one as well.
BT sport cover UFC like no other, this is incredible
*HEADSHOT. BANG. DONE*
HEAD SHOT BANG DONE - one of the smoothest Octagon lines ever
That’s crazy he did the gun to his head before the fight even started
Leon "100%" Edwards Vs Kamaru "30%" Usman
“Rocky may have resided to a moral victory of losing a decision”
“THAT IS NOT THE CLOTH FROM WHICH HE IS CUT”
This man will win the trilogy. Everything about the rematch was in usmans favor and he took a massive career changing knockout loss at 35 years old at 170. Now in the trilogy usman will not be able to fight the same based on his style. He won’t be fighting at crazy elevation. He was the only fighter on the card of ufc 278 that didn’t have cardio issues because he trains with team elevation. He also loses his mental advantage as well. He hopefully won’t be able to cheat multiple time during the fight with cage grabs and glove grabs. And he’s coming off another hand surgery. Leon Edwards will win the trilogy and remain the champion of the world.
Love this bloke, it still cuts me a bit that people booed him for his competitive spat with Darren Till... I was so disappointed watching it on TV that evening. Now, cut to how EVERYONE is treating Leon at least puts a smile on my face now. Contemplating whether to buy a seat for this weekend even with it being £500+ for a middle ticket... I want to be there to cheer him on.
the way leon hugged the belt wit rocky tune background wow
I remember Rocky's winning kick every time i pass by his portrait in Erdington, love it.
Can't wait to see Marty Juiceman reunited with his son Street Judas in the shadow realm again
Have to comment again just watching it again with Leon watching it so emotional 🔥🔥🔥
Still gives me the tingles seeing that head kick 😍
Pure asmr
A true master of the art. Hopefully, he gets to do the same again !
damn that was a career ending kick, sounded like a baseball bat hitting baseball for a homerun
This man is living legend...support from Croatia 🙏
The CEO of EPO shall return!
Leon... It gave us all goose bumps 😮😮
Headshot💀
I've been to Utah, the altitude is no joke and as much as I love what Leon did.. the fact they didn't realise how much altitude would affect the fighter is a bit of a worry.
Didn’t affect Usman tho. Does he live there?
yea this use to be a known thing in the ufc but damn near every fight had a fighter that looked like they didn’t train for it
Usman trains at altitude
@revvs I went hiking at like 5000ft. Those short hikes gassed me and I was pretty damn fit at the time. Any serious athlete trains at altitude, look at cyclists.
@@TransitionedToAShark Usman trains in Nebraska at altitude and he's on EPO.
Love this. His man in his corner tho. That was epic. This is what we love. Those little moments make the narrative. Respect Leon
Love this man! Proper legend!
I’ve been watching the UFC since Silva V Sonnen 2012 and that knockout was by far my favourite moment
LEON EDWARDS 48-47 UD IN THE TRILOGY
If he doesn’t get a finish it would be 50-45 usman
@@MrAllen1994we will see
@@juanburgos8176I don’t think Leon will beat usman to a decision bruh lol has to be sub or Ko
usman by knockout
@@TransitionedToAShark I think if leon is able to replicate what he did in round 1 in his last fight, and do that at least three times, he will obv win the decision. I think that is possible and kinda the likeliest outcome.
One of the greatest KO’s in combat sports history
Leon Edwards is really intelligent. That's what I got from this
I go to the bells done!! Legendary..
