As a shy person from a poor background myself, i can relate and respect Leon for grinding through it in front of camera's ! Nina recognized it and was very respectful and accommodating and made it fun 👏🏻👏🏻

Okay, this might be a bit deep but I think the UFC and MMA media are doing a horrible job of promoting the fighters. They only ever talk about their skills, past fights, and some abstract fight stats that no one cares about. You Nina are the only one to actually get into their personalities and make them seem relatable and fun. This is... the first time I've seen Leon Edwards as either fun or entertaining. Keep doing what you are doing, this is so fresh.

I've been saying that too! It's hard sometimes for these fighters to show personality especially when English isn't their first language so it's tougher to relate to them, but Nina is really helping me become a fan of fighters I might not be, or know too much about, just from her interviewing them. It's great what she does! Great comment too!
She does not look Fench and Italian, she looks exactly like Priyanka Chopra, clearly has significant indian, middle eastern, north african descent but won't say it for some reason. There are pictures of north african women on google that look exactly like her aswell.
Leon is quite likeable but sheesh he needs to loosen up in interviews. You did a great job Nina !!! He actually made eye contact with you which is rare with him.
I wouldn't blame him so much. The guy is preparing to go to war, and he's getting asked just weird ass questions lol. A lot of guys will vibe with her as she asked these silly questions because she's attractive. If this was anyone else doing this interview style with these questions, they wouldn't be doing interviews for long.
Leon grew up in one of the deadliest hoods in the world in Jamaica seeing people shot regularly, then moved to Birmingham UK, joined a gang (Top Boy type), street fought often and got arrested for weapons possession. The questions like the food Nina asked him about are things only white grandparents born in the 30-50s would know and eat. Him saying there are different cultures in UK meant "you realise I'm black and you're asking me about the whitest niche British things ever".
Well the questions were a generalization of a place as a whole, nothing to do with race. To assume “because he’s black” he must not share this culture is a bit … ignorant in itself I feel … if anything this would be a place for him to tell me how it was for him instead, that’s how you learn about people.

The guy is clearly just a legitimate introvert. I know this because I’m the same way. Everyone thinks I hate everyone but I don’t. I just have an awkward social manner but I’m always enjoying myself. I think that’s exactly what we see with Leon when he seems confused or disinterested.

I think she actually does a great job at getting to the core of these fighters. She makes them vulnerable and then ask them a very human question. She's also orthogonal to all the other fight interviews around.
