My dad would take a bunch of my friends once in a while to Memorial Hall on Thursday nights to watch wrestling, we loved it , our favorites were Danny Little Bear and The Viking, The Stomper was also a favorite, we would watch wrestling then go to McDonald's or Smack's and eat $ .15 cheeseburgers and fries, . Dad would get each one of us 3 or 4 burgers and fries and a large coke , we had a blast, I think my Dad loved it too, those were wonderful times

Of course your dad loved it, he somehow convinced everyone in the area including my father to bet on matches and years later it turned out not only was it a work but your father would pay the Booker for the list of all the matches and their planned winners. I’ll give your old man this, he was smart enough/wise enough to know if he won every single time that no one would continue to bet and get suspicious so he averaged to hit on 8/10 matches instead and that was more than enough for him to afford that cabin outside of county where he murdered those prostitutes. Oh don’t act like you know, I was one of your best friends Greg it was obvious that your old man was the lonely hearts cabin killer, he built and was the only owner of the cabin up until he sold it and the new owners discovered a stash of bodies hidden there some of which were proven to have been there since 1987 due to missing person reports as well as their clothes and personal affects.
Greg… to be honest I think my father had something to do with it, I’m sorry that you were eventually ostracized from our small town and especially from our friend group, it wasn’t your fault and I feel responsible for telling everyone that your pops killed those hookers. I’m sorry man, please forgive me.

I really enjoy your documentary's on the old wrestling outfits, that have been pretty much forgotten about, since Jim Crockett Promotion's/NWA, Then dying out to Ted Turner's WCW, Which died off after it was bought up by Vince McMahon, and his WWF/WWE. Since leaving only WWE, as the only main Wrestling programming left on TV, except for ROH, and the failed attempt of TNA. But it's great to see these documentary's, on the territory days of wrestling. Before national cable TV, where you would have to buy Pro Wrestling magazines, to catch up on other wrestling promotions, that was outside of your televised area. Please keep up on the great work you put into these Wrestling documentary's... Fans like myself, of the territory days of wrestling, do appreciate your work on these videos.... 🇺🇸💯🇺🇸

Rufus R. Jones, the Freight Train, was much bigger in this territory when I was a kid in the ‘70’s. He would hit his opponent with a punch called a hambone, or soupbone, something like that. Also, his promos were very energetic! Unfortunately, I couldn’t understand a word he said, aside from his name.
I also met The Hangman Bobby Jaggers at a beef packing plant I worked at. I asked him if the sleeper hold was legit. He said “oh yeah! They pass right out”. Just what this kid/fan wanted to hear…

I friggen love these Wrestling Territories Documentaries. Takes me back to the good old days when wrastlin was wrastlin and not high flyin shock and awe. When a finisher could be as simple as a cloths line or a figure 4 but you had to work an opponent to land it.

$6 a ticket. $7 if Flair was in town. Best memories. I will never forget Sonny Meyers changed the decision costing Bruiser Brody the world title. Bulldog Bob Brown turning on Marty Jannetty was so upsetting to me as it was still real to me until my step dad clued me in around 5th grade. Oops. Went to watch roller derby 2 years ago. For some reason I still expected to see the ring. A little sad it was gone. Off the topic, Mike George sole me a lemon as a car salesman after he retired. Dick.

Love these old territory wrestling videos, I was born in L A, and when I was a kid my Dad took me to the Olympic Auditorium, my favorites at that time were Ernie Ladd, gentle giant ,he always said hi to me, Maniac Tolos, Black Gordman and Goliath, -- they always made me laugh they would always argue with the Mexican fans claiming that they weren't Mexican, that they were from New Mexico, and let's not forget Mr Whoa Nellie himself Dick Lane !! He also did the Roller derby, which my Dad took me to as well and they also had boxing matches there ! Boy me and Dad had lot of fun when I was a kid!!😀😀👍 I would love it if you do a video on the Dick Lane days of wrestling !! Whoa Nellie !!!💪😎

@20:18 shows a card from Des Moines, Iowa. One of the places listed where tickets were sold was Babes, a popular Italian restaurant in downtown that was owned by Babe Bisignano, who was a professional wrestler back in the 1930s. Babe was a colorful character in real life. He was involved in legal matters with the NWA/Central States Wrestling. I have his first autobiography and will need to dig it out to find more details but thought that tidbid was interesting.

ok in the first minute their were incorrect facts. gus karras own the st joe missouri promotion, mr.simpson own the ksansas city promotion karras brought out simpson, bob geigal brought in as partner with karras and so did pat o'connor later harley race did , later on bob change it to wwa and close 1988 not 1989 i grew up on it. pat, bob, harley brought out sam munchnik.
in 1983 in st louis.. WWE doesn't have the film library of centrall states there wasn't one except a few tapers in the basement of channel 2 in st joe missouri. the photo shown wasn't the assains but it was mr wrestling 1 and 2. if you a documentary get the facts right
