I learned this song shortly after my wife passed away suddenly. That was almost 10 years ago. To this day, I can't play/sing this song with tearing up & chocking up....

Such a relatable song. When the mind is not occupied on something and there are no distractions... things are quiet... the mind wanders off... some-of-the-time to a love lost.

One last suggestion - a beautiful song by Catherine MacClellan called Sparrows. You have incredible taste in music and interpret it beyond belief with your captivating voice and style. Do more music pretty lady. I'm a believer!

I came here after hearing your excellent cover of "Simple Twist Of Fate" and I gotta say u nailed this one too, I see the odd comment on your Dylan covers telling u to change this and change that, I say don't change, play them in your own style.

i know you like dylan and i have posted covers of 56 dylan songs on youtube. so if you want to explore possible future dylan songs to consider, you can look at them if you wish . . .
i first heard of 'most of the time' about a week ago - when i saw it on a critic's list of top 50 dylan songs. i listened to the original and wasnt so impressed, but hen it grew on me a bit. then a friend of mine told me it was one of her top five favorites.
then i started to play it a bit, as may have happened to you, you start to appreciate it more cuz YOU yourself are playing it, instead of your being the passive listener. . . .
and then . . . i saw and enjoyed YOUR cover, so yeah by then i was ready to go.

Excellent cover, perfect for your voice. The hollow body guitar gives it the perfect sound. Great use of the capo. Question, capo at 8 fret puts you in key of C#? I think Dylan did it in the key of F.
Thank you very much!! I almost always use the capo just to make the key fit my voice a bit better, I find it more convenient than playing all barre chords.. To answer your question, it is not C#. This "version" of the song is originally (without capo) in the key of C - so my take on it, with the capo on the 8th fret, is in the key of G#.
Linda Hedström Thank you for the reply. With your beautiful voice, you should explore open tunings. Joni Mitchell did that a great deal. Keith Richards does open G. Check out open D and then DADGAD, which is a form of open D. Celtic tuning. With your voice you will sound Angelic. I am also exploring open E. Nice, but needs a little more edge. Although Dylan is trying to be restrained & peaceful, there's a real angry side at the same time that he's trying to contain which doesn't come through.

Hi Connor, ever thought about how some girls might have "that indie girl" sound, naturally? Regardless I'd rather sing like myself and sound the way I do, than changing my voice to sound more what, less indie girlish? If you don't like my voice you don't have to watch my covers. :)
@@lindaahedstrom No, there is a known phenomenon in the music world that for whatever reason most young vocalists with the indie sound all gravitate to a very specific method of vocal annunciation. There is a reason why almost every vocalist singing indie since 2012 has been singing this way. I am sure you do it unintentionally. Otherwise, I liked the cover. It's a great song.
