It' crazy seeing how much your cinematography has improved over the course of your channel, you get so many amazing shots and have great story telling skills
I loved listening to the songs. I cannot sing so, I love to listen to others. Even I cannot understand what is being said, it’s ok because you can feel it!
Singing is a big part of indigenous people's lives. People sing by their hearts, not by their mouths. So skill doesn't really matter, as long as you sing your thoughts and feelings out, it's the voice from the heaven.
According to Wikipedia, the Formosan Languages are the origins of most of the Austronesian Languages. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Formosan_languages Not only that, many Pacific Islanders consider Taiwanese aboriginal tribes as their ancestors. I am glad that you've done this episode to publicize their culture! 👍👍👍
Girl these editing skills are on fire 🔥 The drone shots, the filming and the knowledge packed into these videos are so good! I loved coming along with you, I loved learning about these beautiful people❤️
Very impressive job. I’m impressed by your dialogue throughout, you speak of historical stories and myths. The real impressive part is how you immerse yourself into the culture and then edit it all together for us to enjoy along with you. Thank you
Thank you so much 🥺❤️ One of my favourite things to do it use real sound bites of music or singing if I can because it’s something that just cannot be replicated.
I don't know why but I almost cried while listening to you narrating the story about the woman and the snake. It's just so touching and full of imagination.
Such an amazing video! Who knew this little area was tucked away in the mountains? Butterflies, indigenous people and wonderful history; you did a great job explaining everything and your guide was fantastic.
It sounds lovely when I /enjoy listening to your singing skills, Miss Jennifer, I'm sure you can do it better with practice, looking pretty with the flower crown. 🌼 🌸 🌻 🎵🎶 Moreover, Kaohsiung City (高雄市) is really one of the wonderful cities in Taiwan, the indigenous village does keep its history, allowing new generations to learn their cultures, which is mythical.💫
While Indiana Jones lost in the jungle or the Pyramid, you are lost in this beautiful indigenous village and exploring wonders. Such a wonderful way to enjoy life.
This is a professional level special report. The views are wonderful, camera movements are smooth and focused, and the story told through your narrative is just inspiring. I lived in Taiwan for 25 years and I'm still learning new things from you. Usually, it takes a professional team to produce such great work; and it's just incredible that one person, you, created the whole video.
Right, I remember it's Quinoa, which Taiwan indigenous grow them in mountains. Thank you for introduce the tribes to us, I think a lot of Taiwanese (including me) are too unfamiliar with them, would like to learn their views of nature and protect it together.
Beautiful! I went to see the bridge with my family the last time I was in Taiwan. I have a video of my birth mom throwing her umbrella to the side so she could dance 😂 Did you already do a video on the Atayal people? I'm part Atayal 💪
Wow, that was beautiful storytelling in this video. I definitely learned something new about Taiwan today. 🥰 Every video of you gets better and better, I am sooo impressed with your work! Thank you for sharing. 😊
I just came from another tribe called武界 last week in nantou ,the scenaries is similar, high bridge and a little bit shaking, and the vibe was mysterious too.Aboriginal cultue is Taiwanese' precious treasure ,everytime I visit single tribe in Taiwan, I feel relaxed and purify my mind.
thanks. my chinese is not good enough yet, but i think there are no english guides there. so i can not experience it by myself. but maybe in the future. :)
This is SO interesting! I love roselle tea but I had no idea it was a type of hibiscus. I’ve had it in Thailand and also here in Melbourne at a Taiwanese bubble tea chain called Gong Cha, I love it with cheese foam on top. Thanks for making another beautifully filmed and informative video xxx
Taiwan is thought to be the original place or mother land of the Austranesian people who spread across the Pacific from Taiwan to Maori in New Zealand. Hopefully the Austranesian countries can rotate to host a summit about Austranesian cultures and affaires annually and get in better touch with each other.
This is a video of in-depth travel. It is a pity that the Taiwanese government has not promoted aboriginal culture. But you still discovered this hidden gem. well done.
Yes Jenn, I’ve learned more about Taiwanese culture from you and Wes than 2 years of KMT schooling. Thank u very much and this place is on our family bucket list for next summer vacation. Have a great holiday season to all.
It's easy to see why this indigenous village has been around the longest. They're warm, kind and openly share their knowledge of the animals, plants, and their traditions of the area. It's interesting to see how the snake, and its most striking features, are present in their art, buildings and bridges. The snake's protection offered is literally built into the infrastructure of their lives.
Wow Jenn! This was such a lovely video! I love how you can tell the story of Taiwan's Indigenous communities - I knew absolutely nothing about them before your videos! I swear every video you make is more polished and impressive than the last! P.S. Great job on the singing!!!
When the woman began to sing, tears just welled up in my eyes. She sings from her soul and has touched my soul. You are right. We are only part of this world but sadly many think we rule/own it instead.
Subscribe to your channel, watch your videos for a long time, and find that the higher the quality of the videos, the smoother the mirroring and the deeper the content. Thank you for providing a high-quality life experience.
Very interesting. Here in Mexico we have a similar drink made from the red flower of a hibiscus. It's called jamaica but not pronounced like the country but like ha-my-ka. It's wonderful on a hot day.
I am not a singer but I tried my best to sing. Hope you learned something along with me and enjoyed ❤
You sing beautifully 🧚♀️
great sound, and thanks for the wonderful video.
Beautiful video as always… the aboriginal foods are AMAZING!
👍👍👍
Allan!!
They really are!!

I loved listening to the songs. I cannot sing so, I love to listen to others. Even I cannot understand what is being said, it’s ok because you can feel it!
They sing in a way that comes from soul.
That’s a really great way to put it!!

Ahhhh Maolin is just where I went hiking up the river! Next time I go I'll have to learn more about the culture alongside its nature.
