It’s refreshing to see a high end knife that isn’t over designed. Maybe for some, not having milled titanium scales translates into underwhelming, but I think it’s perfect. I’ll probably never own one on account of the mentioned secondary market so thanks for showing yours!
Personally, I've loved the design since I first saw it in DaddyO EDC's video. But photos nor videos do it justice. Handling it is a completely different experience. Seeing the detail, how thorough, and just thoughtful, Daniel's work is. It's just mind blowing. There's plenty of knives I want, but this is an absolute grail.
After trying lotto for the past 8 months, I gave up, and bought one in the secondary for a lot of money. But everything you stated is spot on and love the review.
I just got my Rosie! Then had to travel for work and couldn't bring it. It is everything you expressed. Such an amazing blade. Love the content, keep it up!
Got mine last week, wondering if it would live up to the hype. Yes, yes it does. Stonewashed blade, blurple putter milled scales, bronze hardware and clip. It's the most glassy smooth knife I've felt. Can't stop flicking it, the action is so addictive. I could have really gone crazy with the options that were available, but I'm very happy with what I got. All in all, just an amazing piece.
I am so glad I saw your first review and now this one. It made me want to pull the trigger and I could not agree more with the review. It is simple but executed perfectly.
Up until recently I found this knife very underwhelming, maybe because of the ridiculous secondary prices. But man, it’s growing on me especially at the price you paid. Thanks!
Been trying to get a book spot forever I will prevail on due time lol, handle/ergos at least the silhouette really remind me of a cold steel American lawman
I recently got my Roosevelt, number 44. I paid over $1400 for mine but it has a fair amount of options he no longer offers like a hand rubbed blade, mag milling and blackened stonewashed sections w/ satin flats on the scales. I've had 180 knives and it might be my favorite knife ever, only fighting my V2 Specter. By far the most useable high end knife out there for sure. I hope everyone can one day handle a Roosevelt cause it's truly an amazing knife!
Adamas I think the custom ones he did will hold their value, but the newer, more production style ones will eventually start to drop slightly. But even those will be a while because the demand is so much higher than the supply. He’ll be well over 1000 before you see prices start to come down I think.
@@kroniical3830 Good info! What do you think the CCKS editions are worth right now? And future value? This one in particular: Stonewashed Z-FiNit blade. Mag-Milled scales. Green anodized titanium hardware. Green anodized ZirCuTi clip and backspacer.
@@Adamas11 probably around $1100-$1300, anodized and more rare milling are on the higher side, and then anything with timascus add $200. If the mag milling isn't anodized I'm gonna say probably around $1400. What number is that one?
I really like these, but the secondary market is nuts and they are damn near impossible to get a book spot. At secondary prices ($1200-$1500) I think I would rather have a custom Rassenti or a high end shirogorov, like a Dr. Death. These are sweet and well worth $500-$700 if you can luck into a book spot.
@@Adamas11 they haven’t announced that yet. The best way to know when they do is to go to their website and sign up for their email newsletter… and also follow them on Instagram.
I love great knives (expensive) and own a lot of them. Just can’t stand to brag about prices. Whether that’s what I paid or that’s what someone else would pay for it. To me it’s very boorish. What’s the point? I don’t need to impress someone because I enjoy overpriced knives….lol
Depends on what you mean better,do you mean hard using, collectibility or something else. For people only cutting paper and cardboard a 50 dollar knife will do it just as good as this one. Expensive knifes are hard to objectively justify other than just selling it to make a profit.
I completely disagree, there are a lot of features in certain expensive knives that make them measurably better than budget knives. A crappy car will still drive you down the road, but it will not be the same as a luxury car. To pretend otherwise is willful ignorance. Whether the price increase is worth it is up to the buyer, so if you don’t want expensive knives that’s fine, but don’t pretend that there are no differences just to justify your budget. It’s dishonest.
i own #327 and it's my #1. it's simplicity and action makes me look & sound like a much better 'flicker' than i am. and as much as i want an arius, i can't wait for dan's next drop to try and give him more of my money! 🍻

The only high-end knife I've ever carried and used daily, and that's after decades of collecting. I have two. This review makes me want a third.
Mine will arrive here in Iceland on the 17 of September - number 345.
Can’t wait

I’m so glad you were able to get one!
Great to see a maker doing 1 design so well. Great review 👍
Love the Roosevelt. Checks every box for me, my favorite edc folder for sure. Great review.
Daniel sharpens on an AMK 75 actually. Which Is a really cool belt sharpening system.
Oh that is awesome 🤘🏻

Need to get one of these, eventually. Seems like an awesome edc folder.
Timascus not for me either, furthest I’d venture is bronze or gold the scales. Gold and black looks pretty good if your feeling fancy.

I am tempted to pay market price for one. So tempted...I tend to flip through knives, but as long as these hold their value, it doesn’t really matter.

I have 207, everything the same but satin backspacer and hardware!! Brotha knives

It is absolutely possible to get a book spot. Just keep entering the lottos.
I want one of these so badly. I didn’t have the cash when the books opened last and I’m still kicking myself.
Hopefully the stars align next time!
Nice one! Can you do a video on how you have obtained all these grails? Like sharing points? You seem to get ‘em all.
Haha a lot of it is awareness and preparedness 🤣🤘🏻
I really hope I can get a book spot at some point!! I love ‘em!!
When will the books open back up?

beautiful knife.
How does it compare to the nymble in terms of the middle finger flickn action?
I haven’t handled a nymble so I don’t know 🤷🏼♂️
Better middle finger flick that the evo?
I like that shirt. Where did you get?
Love the design but if it’s a frame lock it’s got to be a flipper or I flip right past it.
damn i want one of these so bad.......my budget does not agree tho
i just love the minimalism of the aesthetics
Beautiful knife...but the lottery style sales is Bs!

I think when reviewing a product the price is very important information lol, but I see where you’re coming from.
This knife is very underwhelming,so much better options out there.
I completely disagree, but I’m sure the people trying for a book spot on the next drop will be glad to have one less person to compete with haha
Pure hype, similar to the grimsmo norseman.
Tell me what you think a better option is for the table price? And have you handled a Roosevelt?

Your reviews would be better if you don't show yo face.
Your comment would probably be better if you didn’t make it.
