The lower the rpm you want to shift, the longer the cut has to be. With the easier versions from shifters you have to decide in which rpm range you want to use them. Normally shorter cutting times are only for full pulls with full rpm. It seems that you avoid full throttle and full rpm due to your other problems. Start with longer times for checking functions, and be sure the shifter easily goes back to his middle position. I had the same problem only with 4th gear on my bike and the shifter doesn`t work, and after long searching the bushing of the shift lever caused this problem. I don`t know where your sensor is placed, but be sure the mechanic side of your shifter isn`t tensed while accelerating.
Hey owner of a 1300hp s550 mustang you guys forgot about the subframe center bushing kit BMR sells it if not i hope you guys aligned the subframe holes edit: just watched rest of video you did not align the rear subframe correctly and also the diff is a torsen NO ELECTRONICS it doesnt lock smoothly you need an OS Giken rear end to get it to hook up smoothly I literally have a video on the problems you dealing with

Maybe u can’t do donuts cuz you have drag tires on, which are meant for straight lines so they don’t have a lot of horizontal sidewall strength

Get a ZF 6HP26 six speed for it...tune it and it'll blow your mind.. The Barra and the ZF as with the Falcon F6 or XR6T are a perfect match and I'd be shocked if it wasn't equally brilliant in the GT350....Trust me.....They're awesome ...

Im not sure if someone else has already mentioned this but Steeda and a couple other companies sell a very cheap subframe alignment kit for these cars that keeps the subframe from being able to shift around while you're installing it. The reason its able to shift is because the hole in the subframe that the mounting bolts go through as like 5/16-3/8 inch gap clearance around the mounting bolts so the bolts can move around a lot. The subframe alignment kit is a delrin sleeve that slides into the through holes on the subframe that takes up that clearance, and the bolts fit pretty tight inside the delrin sleeve. Once the car has been aligned with the sleeves installed, you can then drop and reinstall the subframe as many times as you want and not have to get it realigned as the sleeves locate it back perfectly every time. The sleeves themselves won't affect how the car handles and don't cause any issues taking up that dead space, but they are sweet if you ever have to drop the subframe afterwards.

So glad to have this car back. The JDM is always sick, but the Mustang has always been my personal favorite. Also the special release shirt is by far my favorite design. Very happy there's time for this car again.

I saw you mention the strain gauge is somewhere in the shift linkage. It might not make a difference but the all the ones I’ve driven that worked well had the sensor in the gear knob. The hollinger one is like that. They are a little pricey at $1000 for the knob/sensor so I’d probably start at the ecu settings for the cut duration/dwell before going into chucking parts at it.
Cleatus just got one of those sensors for Leroy if I’m not mistaken, you should ask him for advise on the stang

Adam knows what he is doing..he needs a tuner again is his problem.. these systems can be picky and are hard to set up on some stand-alones he should ask some honda tuners..we been using them for years

The Barra stang has red springs now. It's a known fact anything with red springs on it immediately makes it faster.
You should do a collab with Cleetus and take it drag racing. Just like when you taught him how to drift in Leroy.

I doubt that, reason being that he sourced a metal hood and the new panel hes planning on welding on. That hood and panel would be replaced with fiberglass like overfenders and such to add lightness if its for FD. But that's my take on it

If I remember correctly and the GT350 has a torsen type diff it won't work with the inside wheel in air :D I don't think there is any preload in this particular diff either.
It will also grenade in a spectacular fashion with a lot of uneven torque

I think a bike tuner could help as quick shifters are common to cut ignition to unload the box for a shift

I was watching this and my girlfriend pointed out how sassy adam sounds when talking. Now i cant unhear it.
First thing. Great build and you’re a brave man not to give up on your car that tried to end itself.
Secondly, from memory you have a hollinger gearbox now yeah? Assuming that’s the case it shouldn’t be that hard to shift. I’ve had one (albeit 10 years ago in a GTR), and driven at least half a dozen cars with them, generally if it’s hard to shift I’d start by looking at the easy stuff:
Check nothing physically wrong with the strain gauge or it’s wiring.
Check the timing cut is both correctly timed to the strain gauge and the cut is for the rifhr length of time. It does seem like it’s a bit late tbh but it’s not easy to tell from vids.
After that comes all the usual driveline stuff like checking the box is ok and clutch and it’s hydraulics are ok.
They do take a bit of driving skill and a small learning curve to drive both on the street and flat out but let’s be honest you are a more than ok driver. It would take you maybe 15 min to properly figure it out. So im pretty sure it’s not user error.
Caveat: you so still have to generally pull firmly (and at the right speed) but yours looks way beyond that in terms of force. If it’s not a hollinger I have NFI but great build. :)
Does anyone actually want a small piece with every order, or would you rather have a smaller chance of owning the whole piece, even if massively destroyed from a crash. I know I'd rather possibly have the whole thing than a fraction. Maybe thats just me.

I think I know what is your main problem in FD this year... this are the tyres.
I mean too much grip and the level of the grip is unpredictable (maybe tyres itself are the problem)
I watched all your FD appearance's and I want to point out all the facts that I see when I watch your videos.
Because of these tyres you're struggling to run even a single clean solo run.
The grip is so much high/unpredictable that you can't manage the transitions and constantly you have to make a lot of corrections and still you don't have confidence how the rear end of the car will behave.
When you're using e-brake you have to wait too much time for the rear of the car to go out.
You're unable to run full throttle and throttle input is too much delayed because the rear end is so much gripped out (I clearly see this when you're e-brake late in the corner and then you immediately want to step on the gas, in situations like this many times your nearly straightening the car because you're struggling to brake loose the traction and go back to high rpm's).
Overall you're powerband is not as usable as it should be because the grip holds you down.
It all getting worse when you run with the opponent because when you follow someone you have to make a lot more corrections and inputs.
In the previous season your runs were much much better and cleaner and you had a lot more confidence in your s15 than in actual one.
If you can please watch the videos of James Dean and Peter Wiecek runs in FD. When they ran their S15's it looked like they do nothing, only minimal steering/throttle input and the cars completely self steers.
They're constantly run full throttle with more angle with ease.
I am not the specialist and this is only my personal opinion but I described everything what I clearly see from your videos and I hope maybe it will be helpful.

Drag tires are a bit wobbly while street driving since the sidewall has some give (for grip). That’s why it might not feel as stiff as your cars that have tiny sidewalls. But I would still do some research if the wobble is too much
There is a little pin kit that locates the subframe corectly i believe?

I never knew diff whine was much of a thing like that. But I put a hellcat 3.70 in my car and it whines. can't imagine how loud it is with all those bushings in
I can't remember if it's on drag radials or slicks but that's why you can't do donuts. Drag tires are made to be soft, especially the sidewall. They need as much tire on the ground as possible and even wrinkle/try to spin on the rim because they grip so well. Forward and backwards you won't notice much but side to side it's just going to fold over. Also curious what the tire pressure is. It'd take alot to stiffen them up but that looks like low psi from the last drag strip adventure. Throw some hard tires on it, even 300 treadwear and it'll slide around like crazy.

No cap the drift hq guys be killin it with customer service. I ordered miata seat brackets off of them not too long ago and there was a delay in the shipment because of customs I believe. And they not only both handled the issue professionally they also gave me a partial refund for the delay. Quality people over there🙌🏾💜
these gen mustangs and shelbys have torsen diff a lot of times when one tire unloads too much it will open diff. common thing on torsen diffs
You have a soft sidewall very sticky tire. Donuts don’t work with drag tires. Throw some street tires on and it will do great donuts
You beed to get rid of that sensor in the linkage, had race cars fail due to that, you need to get the pressure sensor handle that picks up your hand pressure.
