Yes 60fps please! Our eyes can tell diferences all the way to 140fps and the reason that many cameraman and editors prefer 24p is because they are unable to add blur on fast scenes, which our eyes naturally have on our peripheral vision. As such they rather take the easy route of having a choppy video where your head is forced to interpolate the frames. RUclips should be 60fps.
Man, whatever y'all think about the camera quality, Mike absolutely kills it on the music selection. I'm way up here in Sweden bobbing my head like it's 1999 and the Slim Shady LP just dropped.
Yes the eye can see faster, and this is useful with gaming, but video shot higher than 24fps looks TERRIBLE in my opinion. There's a reason movies are still shot at 24fps with a relatively slow shutter. 24fps gives everything that cinematic look. Everything just looks smoother. The higher the frames, the more stutter you get, for lack of better words.
@@JuniorProduction1000 Exactly - there would be some "blank" frames because of the eye and frame rate being out of sync. By going to 60fps, it still sees 24 frames in a second, but it is more likely that those 24fps will be on "good frames", which then allows our brains to interpolate and "smooth out" the images. Eyes may be 24fps, but our brains interpolate it to much more than 24fps, so the more "good frames" it has, the better. At least that is my uneducated take on it haha
The exposure needs to be higher or you need more lighting with that new camera because it is WAY too dark. My brightness is at 100% and I feel like I need another 50%

@@YoBoyNero you obviously have no idea how car manufacturers work then. The average car consumer out numbers the average car tuner enthusiast meaning most ppl couldn't give 2 fucks about the performance of the car which is why they sell 5x more 4/6 cylinder mustangs than v8s. It's cheaper and better on fuel. Car manufacturers don't give af about performance cars and haven't much since the 90s which is why stick shift cars are damn near dead these days.
Looks like this was filmed in a high dynamic range (HDR/HLG) codec but edited and or cut in a standard H264 codec causing the under exposed footage with blown out highlights
I love when Mike uploads in 4K, but honestly the 24 fps totally ruins it for me, I can instantly tell when the video is 24 fps and always double check to see if it's the video or my computer that's lagging because it looks choppy af.
Maybe an Aussie spec GT350. The last Barra, Barra 325T made GT rivaling horsepower from the factory, so no way it could replace the 320-330hp Ecoboost I4 as base engine, unless it was to be stupid expensive.
DC BigTurbo Barra crate engines also cost as much as 5.0’s, so it doesn’t make sense as a Barra. They would have to have 2 different GT engine choices and only a small niche enthusiast community would ever choose a straight 6 over a V8 at the same price.
@@BigTurboTrucker peak power isn't everything if you compare an xr sprint dyno graph to a GT you'll see a massive difference. 1080p in 60fps would be mint highly recommend it. and since you have a RED cam, would you guys consider doing some amazing short films of some cars ? in 4k?
Adam, I believe u are building some of the nicest and precisely build machines on the U tubes. Your builds are impeccable and u cut no corners. Over the years iv watched your knowledge grow so much as a car builder. Keep it up, you and your whole TEAM are amazing, well oiled teamwork.
First off, I really really love the jump in production quality on the channel lately, its great seeing you all step it up in more ways than one. Keep up the great work! Regarding the framerate question, maybe you guys should think about shooting at 30p. Not quite as smooth as 60p, but then again its not as taxing on cameras so you can literally shoot 4k at 30p all day on most cameras even in hot FL sun, plus it might be a great balance between smoothness for capturing the quick moving cars, will match up with drone and fpv footage easily which commonly shoot 4k at 30p, and you'll still be able to slow the footage down 4x for 120p slowmo footage edited in a 29.97 timeline. Even shooting 4k60p and editing in a 29.97 timeline and slowed down 50% looks buttery smooth. I definitely agree that 24p has the cinematic feel, but when the majority of the channel contains quick moving objects, a quicker framerate might be in better interest.
Saturation and contrasts were all over the place (something "dynamic") the camera wasn't doing it's job well. Honestly one of the worst looking vlogs, video quality wise, in a long time
@@CandyBar. it's not the red dawg. still looks like shit and its a video of the dude using the red, so its impossible that its the red. even the opening shot isn't the red because i dont think adam knows how to use it by himself and they said it doesn't record audio
Usually Premiere asks you if you want to set the project settings to whatever the first clip you drag to the timeline is. RED footage is known to be raw with no color correction. It is typically uses the full color range "0-255", so when you import footage that is using "Partial" (16-239 or something) into a timeline that has the full color range, it will look dull and gray. I think that's what happened here. Most cameras that export video in MP4 or AVC use the partial color range, so when Adam's camera was imported, it likely was at "partial" range, so blacks are more like dark gray and whites are off white.
24fps is a slide show, nothing but a band-aid on the hardware/physical media of the time. 13:07 is a perfect example of the trash that 24fps is. There is no argument for this sub par nonsense, less frames does not equal more. Lower files size, faster render and upload times, and possibly better iso out of a shitty camera. That is the only upside here and that all speaks to the producer at the expense of the viewer.
If you guys were looking to see what a Barra can do why get the xr6/g6 version which is the lowest turbo Barra. Go the fpv f6 Barra or if you wanna go crazy get the sprint motor. Very hard to get one of those though. 1000hp is nothing for the top Barras Ps if your go for the blue fpv motor go for the 310
Yea in a movie they have hella expensive camera stabilization equipment so it's not choppy. Compared to that, adam's setup would be considered low budget. Mike is not the brightest for thinking his amateur setup/ shaky hands can rival a $500k movie setup.
That's not exactly true. I'm no professional, but I make 24fps look good. Star Wars makes it look good. Marvel makes it look good. The stutter is from having too high of a shutter speed with a low fps. You want a little blur in each frame to give the appearance of smooth, natural video. They'll get the kinks worked out for sure
Yeah, sometimes with a lot of fast moving things I get a headache from 24/30fps videos but if it's 60 I don't. There is literatelly no excuse not to use 60fps. Using, essentially legacy, 24 fps is just so stupid and even if movies started to use 60 they would look so much smoother and not as choppy. And you'd be able to see things better due to double the frames and things would not as blurry either. I often have to use 2x in the video just to get double the frames to not get a headache.
As someone who has walnut blasted several cars I can tell you, it’s not bad. I use a shop vac with a nozzle that fits into the head and has a whole for the walnuts to enter so you turn on the shop vac start blasting the walnuts and they tear away all the build up then get sucked out. It takes mabye 15 minutes for 6 cylinders.
60 fps makes the video so smooth, i even checked when the video started if my pc was lagging, but no, no 60 fps 😪 But the RED colors, how my, that's good!!
60fps for the love of God. 24 is fine when camera is moving smoothly without a lot of hand movement, but this video in its entirety looked like garbage
@Jimmi Johnson I can tell you're not from the us cuz you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. If the barra was so badass then why haven't we been using them for the last 20 years like we do the sr20, jz and rbs? Because there's absolutely NO demand for them here. If it was such a badass engine then TRUST me Americans would have been importing them by the boat loads a long time ago...
I like the RED’s footage a lot, I feel like it makes all the colors look more realistic and closer to how they look in person, that pink cover on the Bara looked amazing against the rest of the car in that little short clip

Man, whatever y'all think about the camera quality, Mike absolutely kills it on the music selection. I'm way up here in Sweden bobbing my head like it's 1999 and the Slim Shady LP just dropped.
I’m not a Ford guy by any means but this thing I a monster. Can’t wait to see it out here on these Florida streets soon.
Dude, this is my intro into a Barra...I love this freaking engine!
"The eye can't see faster than 24fps blah blah". 60 FPS OR BUST!
that saying is such bs man, the human eye doesnt see in frames lmao
Yes the eye can see faster, and this is useful with gaming, but video shot higher than 24fps looks TERRIBLE in my opinion.
There's a reason movies are still shot at 24fps with a relatively slow shutter. 24fps gives everything that cinematic look. Everything just looks smoother. The higher the frames, the more stutter you get, for lack of better words.
@@theluckycatcollective8788 look at this video then ANYTHING in 60fps and tell me what looks choppy to you.
My brightness is at 100% and I feel like I need another 50%
No, it's because it's got crap dynamic range, the shots look like they were in a log format and ungraded, exposure won't help because it looks like he's still using AE
The video is actually HDR.. it looks much better on HDR display :)
Whatever it is, it is pretty dark
@@thomgt4 True it looks like they added a filter to it that sucks
@@TheBarrelDoesGaming Thats right. I don't think it is because of DR issues, just they don't know how to work with LOG

Why was the video so dark? Pissed me off how dark everything was

Nah Its it's the cinematic camera its insane just turn up your brightness.
It's just the Color grading, Mike and Adam are probably just trying to figure out the look they want for the videos
it's like I'm wearing sunglasses
Have you tried taking ur sunglasses off
People laughed when I said the Barra belongs in a mustang.
Guess I wasn’t wrong.
You’re not wrong lol instead of the crappy v6 they came with or even the eco boost they should just give us a Barra if you don’t want the coyote model to replace the eco boost 4 banger mustang
This is how it shouldve of been marketed here in Aus for sure
Don't choke On your aspirations director wouldn’t be a bad idea, would be a tribute to the old school inline 6 mustangs as well. Too bad modern auto makers are lame and only make decisions based on making the cheapest possible cars and how much money they can bring in
@@YoBoyNero you obviously have no idea how car manufacturers work then.
Its like an american supra, and now im really mad it never happened from the factory
Best video I've watched is the last 3 mins of this video. Would make any car enthusiasts' smile
So cool to hear Scotty come in and help with this, best call you guys made was using a Haltech with the Barra, and a 2500 at that
Scotty is Barra king over here hahaha
And yes making more torque than HP is a Barra thing too 😂😂😂
Higher stroke baby
Barra life 😂😂
Dino at dynomite performance is the barra king that’s ran a 6.4s barra lol Scotty is good but Scotty doesn’t have any 9’s barras lol
That is true, but ya can't argue the fact Scotty helped a fella on the other side of the world and is awesome at tuning and helping others 😀😀
Mick Dejager that doesn’t mean dino wouldn’t help? No one asked him 🤷🏻♂️😂
Opinion:
Gt350 should have a Barra from the factory (it looks so goddamn good in the engine bay)
Not the gt350 but replace the ecoboost with a barra
Stock turbo Barras hit peak power super early and the rest of the graph is as flat as a table, also turbo Barras have a transient overboost function from factory that adds 10% under certain conditions.
The Barra isn’t in production anymore
60 is way better for vlogging with an unstable camera, fast movements etc
This probably now my favorite Mustang build on YT.
Only thing I don't like about the red camera is its pretty dark they require lots of external light.
Eh that can be fixed in post
Yupp
user error.
I’m still quite sure I was the only one that said n gave you the name and nick name of Scotty (tuning fork) as soon as haltec was involved for this build. Glad you’ve finally seen the light. Scotty is amazing with any build. He knows the perimeters of nearly every car. Wizard.
Dude, you HAVE to ship this car to Australia for SummerNats. This thing is awesome!
Gotta go meet Tuning Fork in person now
Yeah cause we dont already have enough Barras over here
Bradyn K if that’s the way you read my comment then you’re pretty dense. It was meant as the Aussies would appreciate it because it is a Barra. Jesus Christ.
Ford really should produce a factory version of this Barra Mustang.
It’s called a Falcon. And it’s only for Australia and NZ
@@IC3XR not any more. Falcons are ded
Yep. Very sad days, thanks to our retarded government
@@IC3XR oath, hopefully Ford brings some brains to the table and Barras the mustang
I would buy that
First off, I really really love the jump in production quality on the channel lately, its great seeing you all step it up in more ways than one.
Freddie you and tuning fork absolutely nailed it! Hope you took lots of notes, that man is a tuning legend
Why is there a “beauty” filter on Adams face??
Lmao
Must be from the red camera.
Yeah and the whole video looks darker too
The video is in HDR, and they prob don't have the colors dialed in for it yet causing that smoothing effect.
Let's not do HDR, just do 4k 60, and not do 24p pls. This is not a move, it shouldn't be in 24p
24 for the beauties and 48 for the car and vlog stuff IMO
with the doubled frames the change less noticeable
60fps all the way but i'm 100% not digging whatever color correction was used on this video. it looks terrible
Red cameras are known for their flat and close to real life color so I don't think there was any color correction
That motor is built for 40 plus pounds of boost he’s literally ran half of what it’s capable of and made 900 hehe
Head studs can't handle that much boost
ClutchkickPJ are they stock head studs?
@@kilnit_nz they're the ones down from what they expected so still good but not the most resilient
Want it to be reliable right, so you want to play safe. He can push it up later
Head studs he's got in it will handle 40psi all day long
The lighting is too dark and gloomy. Revert back to original style.
Lol some weird filter he put on
That RED camera is actually so badass! I'm sure Mike is so excited!
60fps for sure. Action needs 60 IMO.
24 for cinematic stuff and 60 for vlogs imo
24fps looks amazing done right
If you guys were looking to see what a Barra can do why get the xr6/g6 version which is the lowest turbo Barra. Go the fpv f6 Barra or if you wanna go crazy get the sprint motor. Very hard to get one of those though. 1000hp is nothing for the top Barras
Ps if your go for the blue fpv motor go for the 310
24fps for a movie looks fine. 24fps for a RUclips video and/or vlogging looks like absolute garbage. Also, video is too dark.
Yeah it looks like they put a weird filter on the video.... Not a fan
It's dark cos it's HDR and you're viewing it on a non-HDR device. If you have an HDR screen it looks normal. RUclips does a shit job of converting it.
Here to watch vlogs not movies, 60fps is the way to go
Got to love the Barra just got to be careful because as they will twist the front sub frame in any car
Last time I remember anyone talking about a freeze plug was rudnick with his Miata 😂
I was waiting for him to break out the RTV
I thought my monitor was in ECO mode for a second
As someone who has walnut blasted several cars I can tell you, it’s not bad. I use a shop vac with a nozzle that fits into the head and has a whole for the walnuts to enter so you turn on the shop vac start blasting the walnuts and they tear away all the build up then get sucked out. It takes mabye 15 minutes for 6 cylinders.
60 fps makes the video so smooth, i even checked when the video started if my pc was lagging, but no, no 60 fps 😪 But the RED colors, how my, that's good!!
Just imagine this thing hitting the 2-Step, I will hear it even from France, it should be wild
Half an hour of content, you guys are absolute men of the people...!
If only Taxis in Aus had exhausts like that 😂
60fps for the love of God. 24 is fine when camera is moving smoothly without a lot of hand movement, but this video in its entirety looked like garbage
Hard agree
completely agree
He should have recorded it in 60fpa but rendered it in 24fps
Torque is your friend...
Got around 1100nm with 315rwkw on pump with the factory turbo an it's fun!
Lesson learned: there's a reason why you should be able to stand on a front splitter. Those will create a lot of downforce.
yew, our boy the tuningfork showing them how to use the barra
Aussie aussie aussie ..... OI OI OI
That exhaust sounds absolutely amazing!! Done the mighty Barra Justice!
This is how they should have replaced the Falcon with the Mustang here in Aus. One of the best motors made the Barra.
@@Diddydudat Agreed. The Spec R Mustang that was limited was good.
"Global platforms" are the McDonalds of the automotive world.
@Jimmi Johnson
The XR6T actually made more hp than the XR8.
They had to lower the claimed hp on the XR6T so people would still want the V8.
"PAGE UP PAGE UP" MCM&SCOTT
I like the RED’s footage a lot, I feel like it makes all the colors look more realistic and closer to how they look in person, that pink cover on the Bara looked amazing against the rest of the car in that little short clip

this engine should have been factory in the mustang
Instead of the 4 banger ecoboost i totally agree
