I think the best explanation i have seen for "revenge" was by the channel "bookish theories". There is no denying the links to Soojin in it, and I do think that Soyeon was again creating something that deliberately has multiple layers. While i have seen some ideas that feel like a stretch, the Bookish Theories video is pretty good at giving well-grounded explanations to the two main messages in it.
According to some theories from the music video that I saw, the song Revenge is like (G)I-DLE taking revenge for Soojin after she was kicked out of the group by Cube (their label) due to false allegations made about her online for being a school bully in 2021, netizens also saw the bithday on the board that wrote March 9th 1998 (Soojin's birthday), they saw that (G)i-DLE did that on purpose. Extra note: they also used “Nxde” as a reference for Marilyn Monroe ((which is also Soojin’s favourite actress!) which that you can see on soojin’s wallpaper)
