@@fulcrumagentyeah. Miss that weird period of time when Walmart decided to mark down the voyager class figures to $25 back in 2020. Don’t why they did that. Every other store had them for $35 and they were $35 the year before
I finally found Cybertron Starscream for the first time yesterday and got him. Hearing you say he's everywhere in your area means either my Targets and Walmarts hate Cybertron Starscream or i have a huge amount of Cybertron fans in my area. But Vector Primes are a dime a dozen so maybe the first one.
Out of all the pegwarmers I have , there is SS 86 Bumblebee, Transformers One Optimus Prime, 86 Arcee, Earthspark Megatron , Earthspark Twitch ,Strongarm , and Gamer Edition Starscream . These are all the peg Transformers I currently own.
Interesting fact, on the studio series, airazorand rise of the beast bumblebee I’m a manager of toys at Walmart and for some reason, we were only getting cases that had only airrazor and bumblebee not any of the new releases
It's actually really funny to me how regional this all seems to be. Shadow Stiker? Took me forever to actually find her here. Same with Strongarm. Haven't seen RotB Airrazor for eons, missed her entirely. Meanwhile we have a billion TFOne Primes everywhere I go.
Sandstorm hit the UK at a discount for some reason, and you can still get him for around £30. During Black Friday TM2 Megatron was £10-15 and Strongarm was less than £5. Literally every Transformers collector/kid/fan should have that Megatron. I even re-bought a couple and gifted them to my nephews. Legacy Blitzwing is also still hanging around at £20 at my local. Also Happy New Year.
Legacy Galvatron, '86 Starscream, and Legacy Armada Megatron shelfwarmed so hard that I'm 90% sure my Walmart doesn't sell leader class figures at all anymore because of them.
2:54 they filled my Walmart with the earthspark , tf one, ss86, and the combining rotb bumblebee and have about 3 normal deluxes a few voyagers and 2 leaders
Yeah me too and it was back on December 3rd 2023 and I instantly snagged him as I wanted him for so long after his reveal and I don't think I ever saw him again. My copy is the running change with improved paint around the eyes.
I got that dragon Megatron for deluxe price. Wasn't interested initially cause I'm not into beast wars. But for deluxe price I was like okay sure....ended up loving it
Here in Mexico its all Bumblebee movie Skywarp, Shockwave, G1 Swoop and Springer, and Legacy Sideburn which is the only Legacy figure they brought to stores
Rn my local Target has a lot of Nucleon figures. Throughout the year though my Targets had a weird quirk of either having nothing or heavily stocking a single size class for some reason.
Where I live transformers are so expensive and scarce, that we don't have much peg warmers ..., Genuinely the best place to buy for me is KO's on AliExpress, and the national part of shoppe sometimes :(
I would replace Gamer edition Starscream with Legacy united Vector Prime because idk but for whatever reason, every single target I went to that had no transformers or some, always had vector prime in stock and was a row full of them, even in January looking for the new studio series figures, all that was left were the previously mentioned peg warmers in the video, and a full row of Vector Prime
10. Haven't seen SS86 Arcee often... and by not often, I mean only 3 times. 9. Usually see Cybertron Starscream at Target alongside a boatload of Vector Primes. 8. Seen Legacy Strongarm often. Least the repack gave me a chance to get her. 7. I bought most of the Core Class figures of this year aside from Nemesis Prime (who I do want) and the Dinobots. 6. Seen Studio Series Airazor often early in the year. Didn't need her since I had Kingdom. 5. It also saddens me to know that my favorite figure of 2023 is shelfwarming hard. 4. I just wish this figure was better in terms of engineering, cause it's not bad. Just undercooked. Not to mention tolerances. Don't really see her often though. 3. I BARELY saw Silverbolt when he came out. Bought him as soon as I saw him at Target. 2. Seen him and Bee everywhere. I still have no clue why they decided to reissue these two. 1. Saw Gamer Edition Screamer MANY times. One of which got the beheading treatment by thieves. Thankfully they're all gone from my Walmart now. Planning on getting the Skywarp version of the mold to repurpose as Hotlink.
Somewhere in Summer 2024, I saw a studio series gamer edition sideswipe getting stolen right out of the box, leaving it empty and later in November 2024 someone attempted to steal SS86 bumblebee out of the packaging, but failed and his arm was missing.
Strongarm should see a full recolor as Greebjeeber, green and orange and a fun callback The core class gang from the beginning of October are still on my local store shelves, like they're too small to be noticed, or too pricy to get picked. Shame really
Honorary shoutout to my goat, Legacy Skids. Honestly such a great fig, but him and Crosscut have been pegwarming in the south :( Great year for transformers nonetheless :))
I got a story about pretty much all of these lol. Biggest are that Dragon Megs and Skyquake WERE cheap for awhile, but for some reason in my area they shot back up to full price. Absolutely didn't help. And I was excited for Shadowstriker, but her being a pretool makes me like Sideburn less. And I didn't even know who he was til this.
Adult collectors don't want baby sized versions of characters with basic engineering and children haven't seen the original shows the figures come from.
dude, i could not escape rid15 strongarm. they got the repack into legacy united stocked before the evolution one went away along with it after christmas. THE ORIGINAL WAS THERE FOR ALMOST A YEAR, AND THE REPACK WAS HERE FOR ABOUT HALF A YEAR. THAT IS SOME NEXT LEVEL SHELFWARMING. im pretty confident that why it lingered around in my area was that i dont often see kids reaching for the older show universe toys because they never grew up with that show so they dont have attatchment to the characters, which left collectors and not many people want a figure of her because shes universally hated among most people because shes a poorly written character in one of the worst shows. so its unfortunate because its a really nice retool. not that i have it though, still never bought it
It seems that Hasbro are both releasing many robots and also produce a lot of them...meanwhile, people have had a bunch of touch years and have less money, while everything gets more expensive, so there's not as much money floating around now as it was a few years ago. I've wanted to buy more robots but I just can't afford it. I made almost no purchases at all during 2024.
The cool thing is, neither of those are pegwarmers in my area! lol Pegwarmers are a completely regional thing. I've NEVER seen the Earthspark Prowl in stores and thats one I WANT to find! lol
I haven't found any SSBB related in any walmarts near me but on similar note, I have found plenty SS86 Junkheap figures. I guess the Junkions in general just aren't the biggest sellers
Legacy shadow striker makes me sad because she and slipstream were two of my favourites from cyberverse and all my favourite characters get done dirty, be it in the show or in toy form. Shadow strikers legacy toy is garbage but I picked it up because she was so fun in the show but luckily, the figure actually feels nice in hand and the headsculpt is great. Airazor is another one that gets done dirty. I skipped the studio series because I hated how, like the kingdom figure, the robot arms and legs aren't really transformed. The mainline deluxe is incredible but I'm still disappointed with how her story went in rotb
Gamer edition starscream Cybertron starscream Every earthshart toy Every tfone mainline toy Studio series rhinox Studio series primal 86 bumblebee Gamer edition soldier Legacy thundertron Even still legacy skids, bb arcee, jhiaxus and coronation starscream
I’m still seeing armada starscream and haven’t seen any ss rotb figures because there’s still tones of bb ironhide’s and arcees I don’t think I’ve even seen anything that was made in united besides the Walmart exclusives because there’s still just armada starscream filling up the voyagers and no leaders because of the transformers one stuff and the rc Optimus I have legitimately never seen a single figure on this list besides shadowstriker who I saw once and got because I knew I’d never see it again my Walmart just sucks at stocking
I never found the Studio Series voyager class figures of Cheetor and Battletrap and I thought I would never get them at all until last month December 2024, my ROSS finally had them and I got both of them.
Legacy wave 3 2022 is the worst one in my list because from summer 2023 til summer 2024, I've seen them everywhere at the exact same walmart closer to where I live and I hated seeing the deluxes of Legacy wave 2 2022 as I kept seeing crankcase who's not good, pointblank who is one of the worst, and skullgrin who Isn't good either, and Legacy wave 2 2022 voyager class jhiaxus is also part of my list because he kept pegwarming for so long until summer 2024 my walmart finally decided to get rid of them and it's a shame the Legacy Evolution waves, except for Leader Class Megatron, never showed up at my walmart closer to me and some of Legacy United did show up, but mainly voyagers.
I'm sure you've heard the term "I warmed your seat for you" when someone else sits there for a while. The term "pegwarmer" or "shelfwarmer" implies that a retail product sits on the pegs/shelves for so long they've "warmed" them for the next item to come along.
I just watched this video right after opening Eriel and trying to transform her. I didn't know she based on this Legacy Arcee mold. OMG, that figure is HORRIBLE transforming it. HORRIBLE.
Core Class figures' death knell was the price. They would have made fantastic impulse buys at $5-$7, but $12 was just way too much.
All transformers are overpriced now

Wfc Starscream suffered because of his torso specifically. It was off model and looks rough compared to the original.
