Yeah this question I was confused by since skill island is supposed to be earth if life never evolved as if nothing happened past the 66 mya event. Shouldn’t kong have an inherent advantage past everything?
No not really even if you power scale the Creatures of Skull Island the strongest of them comes in at around wall-small building level which is also where large irl animals fall at with kong being just a tad bit stronger so Kong should feel right at home in the Mesozoic tho T-Rexes will give him a run for his money say what you will about the V-Rexes being "evolved" T-rexes but they're only an upscale of our understanding of the Trex back in the early 2000's not current day Trex and as for the weight of the Vrexes being 30 tons aside from the reduced rib count and scutes the Vrex isn't that different in terms of body structure and anatomy meaning there's no reason for the Vrex to be that heavy so the 8-11 ton estimate for the Vrexes is more reasonable so not only is the current Trex on par with Vrex but it's even superior in some categories infact the irl Trex will actually pose more of a threat to Kong than the Vrexes for certain reasons hear me out the movie didn't show it but according to the Novelization Kong did sustain heavy Injuries during the Vrex fight with some of the wounds being bone deep and just as Madly Mesozoic presented due to the Vrex more compact skull probably the result of inbreeding is has less room for Jaw muscle attachments which indicates a weaker bite and the crooked teeth of the Vrex doesn't help now compare it to the Trex who's Jaws and Teeth are designed to crush bone and rip flesh if Trex does ever get a bite out of kong the bone crushing bite would be the least of his worries the Trex would rip huge chunks of flesh out of him and inflict severe bleeding even if Kong does beat a Trex in the initial confrontation he would still need to deal with blood loss. The only category that Vrex beats the Trex is speed but overall the animals should on par with one another.

You're wrong man, he makes it clear that Kong could beat many dinosaurs, but I think because of the movie you underestimate dinosaurs and just overestimate Kong, not to mention that that movie is from 2005, anyway I just wanted to make my opinion clear, let's not debate.
With all due respect, Kong has basically faced the Mezoica on steroids already since his version, as in Skull Island, contains both bigger monsters and Predators with supernatural abilities. Kong is gonna be fine
If Skull Island would be real, it would be small (for Kongs) and could only be home to a small number of Kongs, so mere random process like sex ratio at birth could easily doom the species
I highly doubt any group of Allos, even in high numbers, is going to risk facing Kong because the would know it's guaranteed to hurt or kill some of them. One priority of predators when hunting is killing or incapacitating their prey quickly so the don't get injured, risking unnecessary injuries is something no healthy predator is willing to do. Desperate animals are also far from their strongest point, be it from injuries or starvation, they would never be able to take a healthy Kong. I also believe the Sauropods wouldn't be that much of an issue because Kong is just too smart and fast to be hit with any attack, harassing them with projectiles and intimidation displays until the leave. He does not need to kill them to get the resources, just make them not worth the harassment. tldr: A group of Allos attacking Kong would be either suicide or stupidly risky, making it not worth it. Sauropods aren't fast enough to get a decent blow on Kong and can be harassed into leaving. He also out-stats all of them by VERY far.
I'm with you about the theropods, none of them would be dumb enough to risk injuries unless Kong was trapped in the mud and thus becoming an opportunity to become trapped themselves, about the sauropods it's all a matter of which family they belong, a giraffatitan? Not a great issue, just stay away from it A diplodocus or something similar with a tail whip? That's where the issues begins, immagine what kind of catastrophic damage could do a 10+ tonnes tail whip that break the sound barrier could do if it connects with the skull or an arm/leg of peter jackson's kong My assumption is that both kong and the theropods/sauropods would stay away from eachother
Even the 1933 Kong was way too big to be realistic. I would say the top size an anthropoid ape could get would be about 12 ft tall (like Son of Kong), and a weight of maybe two tons. And Kong as depicted in that film, for dramatic reasons, varied from 24 to about 40 ft. He never looked only 18 ft tall on his island, as the movie notes say. All the dinosaurs were at least double their real size.
I really liked the video! there are just some things, small ones There are easy ways to calculate Kong's weight using a silverback gorilla as a reference. (after all it is the animal on which it is based) Through the cubic square law, Kong would not go below 20 tons. Something similar with the V-rex, both would not drop below more than 20 tons. Second, through the same process but based on the skull of a V.Rex, a bite force of these can be estimated. According to what I saw, Kong needed to apply more than 100 Tons of force to be able to break the jaw of a V. Rex. Not to mention that Kong himself can withstand the impact of a mortar almost completely, no real animal could do that.
2005 Kong is 7.6 m tall when he's standing on all fours. a T rex would only reach up to his chest. If we try to be kind of realistic his bones and muscles would have to be extremely dense for him to function at all so he must be way heavier than 12 tons, hes probably closer to 28 tons or more. When it comes to fighting other dinosaurs he easy clears. Since he's constantly running around on his knuckles they gotta be strong as fuck, practically just hooves with fingers. All he needs is one good swing with them long ass arms he'll break the ribs and necks of most dinosaurs. Also he could bite through the neck armor of a V rex.
@@hugotheimpecileoneAccording to the video, the guy said he would consider an adult T Rex at its maximum size, that is, a crouched T Rex would reach Kong's neck, and if it stood up, it would be a little bigger.
Kong backshots(literally). Also, whats ur process for making these vids? I think I might wanna make this type of video for my channel. I just a word from a veteran thats all.
Not sure if you'd consider the topic, but I think it'd be cool for you to do this sort of video on Primeval's Future Predator, maybe in the Pilocene/ Pleistocene (in India around 1.8 mya).
Happy 2025 and some sugestion to future videos: Could the Wampa from Star Wars survive in Plestocine Ice Age? Could porcupines survive in Mesozoic? Could the Rancor from Star Wars survive in Pandora from James Cameron Avatar? Could terror birds survive in Mesozoic? Could the Graboids from Tremors franchise survive in 2005 Skull Island?
Could Kong somehow survive the K-Pg extinction event? He's certainly smart enough to realize that something would be very wrong with the world at that point, maybe take cover during the initial impact event and not die right then, but idk about afterwards.
While I will say Anax is an allosaurus, things like the Kenton Allosaurid should warrant its own section, so I’ll do it here, while the claws of the previously named Saurophaganax would be challenging for Kong, his sheer strength and agility would give him a win, it wouldn’t be easy, but it would be easier than his 3v1. So yeah he clears Sauro. Would be easier than a healthy/not inbred V. Rex or his 3v1. Edit: Oh you did include the Kenton Allosaurid? Fuck it I’m still keeping this here. It’s a megalania situation where it’s technically called a species, but we can just call it Sauro because the size difference between it and Allosaurus Fragilis is enough to warrant a different section.
V rex are MUCH, MUCH heavier than just "8 tons" Hell, the largest t rexes discovered by science like Sue, Scotty or Cope was estimated to be 9-10 tons and they measured 12 meters long and 4 meters high. V-Rex measure 6.8 meters tall and over 15 meters long, their mass is undoubtedly greater than that of Kong and would be in a range of at least +20 Tons, maybe +30 Tons, plus they are incredibly robust. 8 tons is a horrible underestimation.
Sir v rex is very strik rapt compared to t rex which is chunky and v Rex's are not 7m that's way to big Kong is only 7.8m or something like that and that if he is standing up straight so he is probably like 1.5 to2m in length so he wouldn't be 20tones thought v Rex wouldn't be 8tones more like 10-12
My favorite is original 1933 King Kong. Kong's scientific name should be Megapithecus rex. 2005 Kong seems to be 25 ft tall in a quadrupedal pose. In bipedal pose he would be 35-40 ft. Estimating his weight at say, from a 38 ft height, would, according to the cube law relative to height would give him a weight of about 134 tons. At that weight he would be slow as slug, not to mention his bones breaking, not able to get enough oxygen to his body, and a whole host of other physiological handicaps coming with that size. And forget about Kong Skull Island with Kong at 108 fit and Kong vs Godzilla at 350 ft.
Triceratops vs kong will be tough for Kong because it like gorilla vs Bull but with 3 powerful strong impaling horns with frill and a nasty bite,Kong has is strong enough to grab the brow horns and break them but triceratops has the brute force and brute strength and strong nasty bite that injure Kong easily,Kong is agile and quick but so is triceratops and Triceratops is aggressive is like a honey badger and aurochs like attitude and triceratops never retreats so who would win in a fight it will be tough but the winner is Triceratops.
I agree with the Cretaceous assessment about Kong vs T Rex. Kong is too big, strong, skilled, agile, fast, and intelligent, crafty, and just too skilled for a single T. rex to pose a real big threat. He would have to watch out for the jaws though. Even with a large T Rex he comfortably dominates. It would definitely have to take a pack of Rex’s to beat able to take him down or just an accumulation over years of time being in battles with dinosaurs. It’s like putting Batman in with a ufc fighter. The gap is too large for just one ufc fighter take bats down.
dude, environment is the only threat to kong. that rock that he lift with one arr and smash in V rex head have at last a 100 t. that give him enouth power to obliterate any animal he enconter easily. even the biggest sauropods woud die if he throw a 10t rock or swing a 30 meter tree log at them. the thing is that dinosaurs are real animals and kong is a fictional character. he have surpassed the limit of the flash
Skull Island is not that close to Sumatra. The map shows it as south and west of Sri Lanka, off the southeast coast of India. I've seen another map that shows it directly south. I always thought it should be about midway between Sumatra and Sri Lanka; that would put it closer to Sumatra.
EDIT-Did I miss the nod to MadlyMezazoic in here? I just saw a mending in his page but not here. This is 100% done in his format. Just wondering before I freak out
How bout we have can a scientifically accurate t.rex survive Peter Jackson’s skull island. Because if that’s the case I feel bad for the poor dinosaur.
Well... maybe... if the local theropods don't view the big ape as either food or a threat that is... I would imagine that they would take just one long look and be like "dunno what THAT thing is but I'd rather chase down that sick old hadrosaur a few waterholes down". As for the K-T extinction event... well... unless this is purely fictional than I would imagine that kong's gonna find it completely unbearable to survive meteorites and volcanic pollution and so forth.

Not a great issue, just stay away from it
A diplodocus or something similar with a tail whip? That's where the issues begins, immagine what kind of catastrophic damage could do a 10+ tonnes tail whip that break the sound barrier could do if it connects with the skull or an arm/leg of peter jackson's kong
My assumption is that both kong and the theropods/sauropods would stay away from eachother
Awesome Video!🌟
I really liked the video!
there are just some things, small ones
There are easy ways to calculate Kong's weight using a silverback gorilla as a reference.
(after all it is the animal on which it is based)
Through the cubic square law, Kong would not go below 20 tons.
That video game was so fun and jump scares
Ok now we Need full grown indominus vs king Kong to see Who Is the strongest full grown t-rex defeated Is.(Also great video, well done)
could you do T Rex vs Lion (same size).
Do a video about Monsterverse Kong
I think that would be unfair 😭
@TheOverseerDebates well any video doesn't have to be a versus
I mean updates in the size of Trex from 2024 claim Trex could have reached about 70% bigger than the biggest known trex.
@matthewvandyk7773 thats theoretically how big the absolutely biggest individuals might have gotten but those would be insanely rare.
I’m far from a veteran. Really I just go for ideas that I’m both interested in and have low coverage
I think 05 Kong would have higher scores if you’ve given our boy a family of Kongs
Kong would eat TREX like chicken nuggets.
Yea he would thrive
Not sure if you'd consider the topic, but I think it'd be cool for you to do this sort of video on Primeval's Future Predator, maybe in the Pilocene/ Pleistocene (in India around 1.8 mya).
Also, don't forget to turn on notifications in the bell icon so that you won't be late to the party. 🤜🔔
Happy 2025 and some sugestion to future videos:
Could the Wampa from Star Wars survive in Plestocine Ice Age?
Could porcupines survive in Mesozoic?
Could the Rancor from Star Wars survive in Pandora from James Cameron Avatar?
Could terror birds survive in Mesozoic?
Could the Graboids from Tremors franchise survive in 2005 Skull Island?
Maybe have Kong (2005 or 2018) try to survive Pandora?
@GeekOnTheRun519 i prefer 2005 one because he is smaller
How on Earth was the Jackson Kong a most closely related to Giganthopithecus when he was just an upscale Gorilla ?
19:54 what in the world????
W video do shantungosaurus vs Peter Jackson’s King Kong please
can you do allosaurus vs charnotasaurus pls ❤❤❤
Video suggestion: Could Indoraptor survive the Pleistocene era
What are you talking about? Yes? Goodbye.
Im sure that the dinosaurs in our world are not as monstorus or aggressive as hell on earth/Skull Island
"three large rex's can kill kong...for good"
Woah! woah! woah! now. You got too much dip on your chip.
Could Kong somehow survive the K-Pg extinction event? He's certainly smart enough to realize that something would be very wrong with the world at that point, maybe take cover during the initial impact event and not die right then, but idk about afterwards.
That's the best kong and best movie
I'd say he'd do decently
Hey Overseer, I’m making a video asking creators who wins 2005 King Kong or JW Indominus Rex and what diff, would love to get your opinion man
What if the Ingen Velociraptor (JP novel and film) was in the mesozoic era? Can they survive?
Please try to do this
Could the apes from the new planet of the apes movies survive the Mesozoic
8:45 I was not prepared for a JJK reference in my dinosaur videos
While I will say Anax is an allosaurus, things like the Kenton Allosaurid should warrant its own section, so I’ll do it here, while the claws of the previously named Saurophaganax would be challenging for Kong, his sheer strength and agility would give him a win, it wouldn’t be easy, but it would be easier than his 3v1. So yeah he clears Sauro. Would be easier than a healthy/not inbred V. Rex or his 3v1.
Edit: Oh you did include the Kenton Allosaurid? Fuck it I’m still keeping this here. It’s a megalania situation where it’s technically called a species, but we can just call it Sauro because the size difference between it and Allosaurus Fragilis is enough to warrant a different section.
i think you're forgetting edmarka rex is torvosaurus which makes it around 5t
Even if he couldn't, I'd want him to :)
Can you do a what if the apes in planet of the apes were on Peter Jackson’s skull island or if they were in the Mesozoic
Sir v rex is very strik rapt compared to t rex which is chunky and v Rex's are not 7m that's way to big Kong is only 7.8m or something like that and that if he is standing up straight so he is probably like 1.5 to2m in length so he wouldn't be 20tones thought v Rex wouldn't be 8tones more like 10-12
What are you smoking? V. Rexes are taller and longer than a Spinosaur.
@@mattwalton8315v rex being very thin is a good point
The Big Three are arriving....
Awesome start to 2025
Why did u not use gameplay from skull island rise of kong. Its an amazing game
Peter Jackson Kong 2005 was the greatest dinosaur movie ever and of course he will survive he will be murdering dinosaurs to his heart's content
Could V.Rex survive the Cenozoic?
nice
ED Cope vs Kong
Kong give him another V-Rex treatment
Thank you for the vid daddy
Kong would survive easily its like skull island but not as chaotic
Can you do zilla 1998?
My favorite is original 1933 King Kong. Kong's scientific name should be Megapithecus rex. 2005 Kong seems to be 25 ft tall in a quadrupedal pose. In bipedal pose he would be 35-40 ft. Estimating his weight at say, from a 38 ft height, would, according to the cube law relative to height would give him a weight of about 134 tons. At that weight he would be slow as slug, not to mention his bones breaking, not able to get enough oxygen to his body, and a whole host of other physiological handicaps coming with that size. And forget about Kong Skull Island with Kong at 108 fit and Kong vs Godzilla at 350 ft.
yes *correct buzzer*
King Kong cuando un carnotauro le muerda la pichula: oh no hermano
Triceratops vs kong will be tough for Kong because it like gorilla vs Bull but with 3 powerful strong impaling horns with frill and a nasty bite,Kong has is strong enough to grab the brow horns and break them but triceratops has the brute force and brute strength and strong nasty bite that injure Kong easily,Kong is agile and quick but so is triceratops and Triceratops is aggressive is like a honey badger and aurochs like attitude and triceratops never retreats so who would win in a fight it will be tough but the winner is Triceratops.
Ehm ehm… Ferrucutus Cerasdes
I agree with the Cretaceous assessment about Kong vs T Rex. Kong is too big, strong, skilled, agile, fast, and intelligent, crafty, and just too skilled for a single T. rex to pose a real big threat. He would have to watch out for the jaws though. Even with a large T Rex he comfortably dominates. It would definitely have to take a pack of Rex’s to beat able to take him down or just an accumulation over years of time being in battles with dinosaurs.
It’s like putting Batman in with a ufc fighter. The gap is too large for just one ufc fighter take bats down.
RIP Saurophaganax
dude, environment is the only threat to kong. that rock that he lift with one arr and smash in V rex head have at last a 100 t. that give him enouth power to obliterate any animal he enconter easily. even the biggest sauropods woud die if he throw a 10t rock or swing a 30 meter tree log at them. the thing is that dinosaurs are real animals and kong is a fictional character. he have surpassed the limit of the flash
Skull Island is not that close to Sumatra. The map shows it as south and west of Sri Lanka, off the southeast coast of India. I've seen another map that shows it directly south. I always thought it should be about midway between Sumatra and Sri Lanka; that would put it closer to Sumatra.
My god the research on this video was just god awful
um where is the spino
Your point system is inconsistent.
I dont understand the last Point, why would it be too much for the eco system if there would be more of Kongs species?
Nah bro we call him Saurofraudanax now
Kong king
EDIT-Did I miss the nod to MadlyMezazoic in here? I just saw a mending in his page but not here. This is 100% done in his format. Just wondering before I freak out
How bout we have can a scientifically accurate t.rex survive Peter Jackson’s skull island. Because if that’s the case I feel bad for the poor dinosaur.
🦍👍👍👍👍👍
Well... maybe... if the local theropods don't view the big ape as either food or a threat that is...
8:25 You said 7 out of 10 but wrote 6 out of 10
He'd win the Mesozoic.
