New subby here. Interesting vid. I guess every little improvement is worth having. I to have a Gold monster and totally agree with the noise it puts out. I’m still yet to find gold with it though. Thank you for sharing.
Yes I agree that to fully test the detector the nuggets should be buried however this was not a test to see how deep the detector would sense the nuggets but rather a before and after test on the same nuggets in the same conditions. Thanks for your comment and for watching.
Hi - was yours the Monster woody had that didnt have the centre button Auto Ground Balance - mines a 2019 unit that's got it - Minelab told me of this hack when that pump technique was driving me nuts now on hot ground I hold coil on ground press hold - the coil logo blinks then beeps and is very quiet - GM is a great pinpointer when you find a target with Z and you want to discriminate non ferrous or Rust crap lol
We sent Woody 2 detectors. One was older and didn't have the center GB option and the other one did have it. I also use it as a pin pointer sometimes. Also helps when I need to find out is a target is ferrous or not. Thanks for your comment.
@@metaldetectingfun thanks for getting back to me with your reply. Based on the information you provided I cant really see what your testing achieved. Thanks. Gary.
great info on the monster 1000, i have had one for about 4 years never found gold with it yet , was out in the whipstick area for 5 days only found hot rocks and was so noisy i tryed running it in both auto settings still no good i normally use manual 10, i turned it down to manual 5 to try quiet it down still dug up hot rocks, not sure what i am doing wrong we worked for hrs for 4 days, and going back in 3 weeks to try again may be try find another spot, was thinking of getting a gpx 4500 do you know of any for sale , and what was the cost of woodys mod to the 1000, i watch him as well thanks sorry for the long comment
You need to get out with someone to show you. When I first started I wanted to smash it around a tree. When I worked out the gold signals.....away I went....and never looked back....traded up and up...we know use a 6000 and monster.
@@ayetee8403 ok yes trouble is finding some one to show you mate ha ha most dont want to take you where there is a bit of gold or good spots ive tried a lot of places around reedy creek beach worth and been out the whipstick area for few days going back to try again soon i hope
Keep in mind any modifications you do on a new machine and you’re going to void your warranty. May not be worth it for that extra distance if something goes wrong with your machine and you’re buying a new one out-of-pocket. if your machines warranty date is passed then that’s a different story.
So. How do we get hold of woody?
Just email them on - davidrwoodland@me.com
Woody is easy to find, @detectorMods
He had a GTX but he got tired of digging 3 foot holes when I asked him why he sold it.

Thanks for the sub! I know someone who found a 3 oz nugget the other day with his GM. Persist and it will come. Good luck.
@@metaldetectingfun just wish I had one, watching from Zambia
Are these true test results? I would have thought you would test the machine with the bits of gold actually buried in soil at varying depths.

@@garykallasmae997 ~ would say his testing achieved to show that the Monster is deeper with Woody’s mods than without the mods is the reason why.
