In country from small to large nuggets and some hot bands i seem to dig a lot of large holes with the M14 for hot rocks and its very hard to locate targets. Ive started using NF13x17 and it locates targets better. But i need a lot more experience yet to come to decent conclusions. I havent messed with threshold settings much.

Picked up a gpz 7000 went out today found lots of bullets but was amazed at its performance

just a tip, you don't need to turn on/off to get to 0 when you have your water glass, hit the tare button, that's what it is for, very good video! liked and subbed

Don't ever set your pick down with the point up! Had a friend fall on one. Took months to heal up. About 5 min. in to the video.

Your videos give me some hope in finding gold with the NF 17X13, I run both the GPZ7000 - NF coils and have to say that I keep going back to the NF 12 as I find it difficult to really hear a target with the NF17 x 12. Yesterday's settings at Maryborough were as follows for the NF17X13 - High Yield/Difficult - Sensitivity 15 - Volume 1 - Th 25 - Th tone 50 - Audio Smooth OFF - Ground Smooth OFF - GB Semi Auto and headphones. Changeover to NF12 and swapped between General & High Yield/Difficult and General & High Yield/Normal - Sensitivity 15 - Volume 1 - Th 25 - Th tone 50 - Audio Smooth OFF - Ground Smooth OFF - GB Semi Auto and headphone. I've tried to get the 17x13 to run in Normal and High Yield/General and find I need to reduce the Sensitivity down to 2 - 4. The NF12 works great on these settings but I just can't get the tone right on the 17x13.

Unfortunately, this gpz7000 does not have iron discrimination mode, so it is easy to confuse the probe with iron.

My best nugget was found in that area 5.6grams, you can find that video on my channel, and another just over a gram about 50 meters away, I come to the conclusion it was an all or nothing area with no patches of small gold but a wide, devided of larger gold 👍👍

If in the actual ground 25c or 5 or else 1c when the metal detector reach upto 8o to 9o does it mean positive item will detect?

Going to Maryborough from Adelaide this weekend and hoping to do about 4hrs, as we are only there overnight. I only have a nox800 though, but hoping to find some relics or coins too. My bucket lister is a Chinese coin, and not having much opportunity to go to Victoria makes it harder. Thanks for the inspiration! I have never found any gold as I usually detect for coins/relics, but these videos really help to get some idea how to do it. If nothing else it will be beautiful scenery!

Nice video.brings back happy memories of detecting in the Whroo and Rushworth areas. Detected my largest nugget in Whroo ,of 6.7 grams....a nice little slug.

I was just talking about a visit to this place today that I made back in 1977 with a friend and my new husband. We had a photo taken at a little hut with rocking chairs on the porch and Darby and Joan over the door. The gardens were stunning.
