    You must have known Heather! Last two days I've been looking at the IK Foamer debating on whether to get it, now you review the IK Sprayer! So I guess now I'll be ordering both! lol. More money :) Thanks for the video.

    So refreshing to see a young lady that is this interested and knowledgeable about detailing her vehicle. I wish my wife had this much enthusiasm and knowledge about detailing.........she'd be the perfect wife! LOL. Everything Heather says on her channel is very well researched information and presented very well too. She also has experience with these products. For only being into detailing for a few years, she has really gained a vast knowledge of products and how they are used both detailing tools and chemicals.

    Very informative video Heather! I was using a "cheap" version of IK pump sprayer for a cost of £5, but "buy cheap buy twice" has been absolutely true in my case as it gave up after 4-5 months. I have the foaming sprayer from IK and I love it. Good to see that you finally let the standard trigger sprayers go 😄 having a pump sprayer helps huge!

    • @AutoCareHQ
      @AutoCareHQ  3 года назад +2

      Thank you! I was tempted to pick up a cheap one as well but I was happy with the foamer so thought I’d go for this sprayer version instead of trying another brand! It’s such an upgrade from the triggers, I don’t know how I coped before to be honest 😂

    • @RoadToDetailing

      @@AutoCareHQ I’m glad you didn’t choose the cheapy one to be honest, you did the best investment with the IK Sprayer for sure. I’m about to buy the 2.0 Foamer soon. (I have an other cheapo pump sprayer, so I wait until it dies before upgrade to an IK pump sprayer)

    • @AutoCareHQ
      @AutoCareHQ  3 года назад +2

      Interested to hear your thoughts on the 2.0. I just bought the cheaper one as I'd already spent too much on the order so I'd be interested to see if it's a big upgrade!

      @@AutoCareHQ I’m curious too to be honest. Planning this purchase since a while, but a month ago when I ordered the 2.0 they sent me a 1.5 version instead 😅 then said they won’t stock the 2.0 anymore, but I’m on the fence, and the 2.0 is in my shopping bag for the next purchase within a week, and planning to use and record soon. Will keep you posted 💯

    I got myself a Kwazar 1.5ltr sprayer, similar to your IK Multi, and I absolutely love it. I was using spray bottles before this, and it took much longer to apply products. Now with the pump sprayer, it only takes me 1/2 the time to do.

    • @AutoCareHQ

    I've been thinking about getting one of these for some time as using a small trigger spray is, as you say, a bit of strain on the hands. Really good explanation of how they work and what they can do.

    • @AutoCareHQ
      @AutoCareHQ  3 года назад +3

      Cheers Peter! If you’re using prewash sprays a fair bit then it’s well worth getting one, I’ve been using this instead of snow foaming on some cars recently and the results have been fab

    It's funny how looking back on how I'm guessing most of us start off and seeing how much easier we have made things. Just like you I'd walk round spraying with a trigger sprayer thinking this takes ages. Likewise using a pressure washer with about a 3 meter hose on it continually moving it around. Good review as always. I have the kwazer version that's very good as well, along with the sprayers that spray on the way back not just as they press.

    • @AutoCareHQ

      Thanks for watching 😊 yeah it’s funny thinking back, even this time last year I wasn’t using half the things I use now. I got by fine for a long time without them but they definitely help, and trying new products is one of my favourite things about cleaning my car! 😊

    Thanks for the review. would you say this would be better than the foamer? even for things like BH touchless / autofoam , there is no issue in not getting foam? i am guessing as long as there is product on the panel it works just as well?

    • @AutoCareHQ
      @AutoCareHQ  Год назад +2

      I think for any kind of pre-wash the sprayer is better really. I've used it for auto foam and found that it works just as well as foaming it up. The only thing I really use the foamer for is wheel shampoo

    Would you use this for a prewash before snow foaming or could you use this technique so you didn’t have to snow foam? Thanks 😊

    • @AutoCareHQ
      @AutoCareHQ  3 года назад +6

      You could probably use this as a substitute for the snow foam to be honest, it'd just depend on the chemical. I've got a video coming out next week where I just prewash the car with Bilt Hamber auto foam in the sprayer and it did a great job and I don't think snow foam would've really added anything in that case. I still quite like using the sprayer on the lower sections and then snow foaming as well on my own car, but it's out of habit mostly!

    What’s the difference between this product and a general garden pump sprayer that you can get for a third of the price? My one I got cost £6 and looks to be the exact same design, same pressure release valve etc etc. I think these are just an inflated price because they are targeted towards detailing.. I’ve had mine about 18 months no issues

    • @AutoCareHQ
      @AutoCareHQ  3 года назад +1

      I wouldn’t be able to say without trying both I’m afraid! I’m happy with the quality of this though and it wasn’t too expensive compared to a lot of the competitors. The IK sprayers aren’t specifically targeted towards detailers, but more for industrial use so I’m sure they’d argue that it would beat a garden sprayer for durability if used very frequently or with more aggressive chemicals maybe

    Hi Heather, do you think you could use one of these sprayers for a spray and rinse sealant at the end of the wash instead of the pre wash at the start? I'm using the MTS rinse and shine but it's a bit hard work in a trigger bottle.

    • @AutoCareHQ
      @AutoCareHQ  3 года назад +2

      Yeah I think it’d work really well for any dilutable spray and rinse products, good idea! Only thing I’d say is make sure you spray clean water through it afterwards, just in case the sealant is prone to drying up in the nozzle 😊

    Interesting, in theory this product isn't suited to the alkaline solutions you use it with, there is a blue IK ALK version for those products. Maybe if you don't store the products in the sprayer it's not a problem.
