For my digital assignments I’m asked to submit everything at 72 DPI but to draw at a higher resolution how do I change the DPI if I start drawing at a higher DPI or do I even need to do this?
That’s interesting, DPI doesn’t really do anything for files only displayed digitally. Try it yourself, create two projects at the same resolution and different DPI - export them and take a look. Then should be identical
As a newbie with ipad and Procreate I was really unsure when I was asked to do a large drawing. I set up the canvas to apprx. 63x157 inches, which gave me few layers to work with, at a DPI of 75(...). Large pixelcount though, apprx. 11000x4700. Also I set it up in sRGB. So I guess there was a lot of theoretically wrong factors here. BUT, the artwork printed supernice, also if you look at it up close like from 6 inches. Crispy and clear! Please explain why this went so great..! :)
Sí, dependiendo de para qué utilizarás el arte (impresión, web, diseño de ropa, etc.), el DPI será importante. Pero solo para la web, puedes reducir ese DPI y usar un tamaño de documento adecuado.
If you're going to do that, then you should look at the printers capabilities and adjust to that. Probably would use photoshop if I needed to print at that scale
Very good tips and easily explained.

You confirmed my personal myth 300 DPI :D
Entonces estaria bien si el dibujo para web tiene 72 DPI? Me habia aconsejado ponerlo en 400 DPI pero pesa demasiado 😞

Thank you!
Thank you so much😭✨🙌🏻
you're welcome!
Did you ever think that you might print at pro printers …aka >600dpi
