Your hair looks so good after all that straightening. You could just be taking really good care of it, but sometimes I wonder if type 4 hair isn’t as prone to heat damage like a lot of us think. I know some type 4 girls that always straighten their hair but literally never get heat damage.
My hair can’t handle heat especially the top part of my hair. No matter what I always get heat damage.

I’ve wondered the same thing for years! I think my hair is more heat resistant, but I also think the stylist /technique still matters too!
Thankfully I haven’t experienced any damage over the past 9/10 years of straightening my type 4 hair 2-3x a year. *knock on wood*
it’s not just your hair type. it’s a lot of factors that contribute to how well someone’s hair handles heat.

You may take a liking to passion twist. Outre has waterwave fro texture passion twist hair. It literally looks like moist chunky twist. Not shiny but not dry looking either. I’m slept on them, showered with them and they still look great after a couple weeks.
Happy New Year! Did you get a curly cut before you moved to Guam? Also the humidity here in houston is crazy, I think Dallas isn’t humid because it's inland.
