This looks the same as that troublesome Range Rover you did a couple of days ago. I dread taking my car to a dealer for a fault, they just don't seem to have people who can do diagnostics nowadays, they just read codes and swap parts. Our brand new Citroen had an intermittent fault on the trailer electrics almost from new, and I'd mention it on every service, only to be told they couldn't find anything wrong. Somehow I don't think they'd even bothered to look. When the warranty was up I took the panels out to investigate and found a spanner and a socket left behind.
Thankyou Jimmy. Very clear instruction. I am not sure what people want. You have the fault. How to remove, the tools used and how to refit. Expensive but not difficult.
@@ORileysAutos I have a problem with the Jaguar XE Throttle and I see that it is more or less the same but I need to buy the computer program to update it, can you tell me about the Jaguar XE 2.0d xe760 what is the name of the update program so I can watch future mistakes, thank you in advance and if you can give me some contact, I can show you the mistakes on my car and I will send you money for the help, because you are a good person, and there are few of them left.
bloody hell jimmy £500 quid for that and it seems like a common fault on jag/land rover from videos i have watched that's ridiculous nice work once again 👍
hi . thank you so much for the video . I have the same car with 75,000 miles . off late my car has been running very hot and is also 10 psi down on boost ? can i also be having this same problem of the flap sticking closed ? thanks and regards .
Hi Jimmy I can understand your annoyance when customers are reluctant to pay particularly as they wait with you and then say it only took you a few minutes. In most circumstances the customer has to leave a car at a garage and pick it up some time later unaware of the time taken and will be quite happy if only an hour of time is charged along with a fee for analysis. My response to the cheeky customer who you spared the expenditure of a starter motor after you had diagnosed that a new battery was needed would be to hint that there could be a discount on his next service if it could be fitted in when you are not too busy.
Hi Jimmy I need some help Eddie here in co Clare I have a 2013 transit custom 2.2 diesel with the bag washers rattle that you had in one of your jobs and mine is going into limp mode now I have CHEP scanner but not sure what the rattle is at bottom of engine I think it is low mileage 134 thousand miles etc your help I appreciate thanks love your videos excellent
Great vid. Can anyone tell me what are the 'loom' of pipes for that sit on top-left of the throttle body? Theres 3 of them wrapped together, clipped onto that 10mm bolt. Are they vacuum hoses?
hi, I have xf and the dpf is pretty good, it does regen on long runs, but want advice on the best dhp cleaner to add to fuel so I can keep the dpf in tiptop condition
Well...Anglo - French. The 2.7 and 3.0 V6 "lion" engine is a Ford, JLR and PSA collaboration. We should all be very proud...proud of the plastic throttle body that distorts and the plastic cam covers / inlet manifolds that crack (and take about 10 hours each to replace)
I marvel at Jimmy doing a lot of this one handed so he can film it. When I’m working on my car, I sometimes wish I had three hands! Fair play Jimmy👍
He should be wearing a chest GoPro spend the money!!!
@@tommykarate5126 why don't you buy him one🤔

Gives me confidence seeing you work one handed.
A one-handed repair! Better than most that have two hands. 🙂
Hello super video I like so much your repairing tutos. You are the best Dr House of the garage.
Have a nice day see you later.

Those Throttle Bodies are a common problem, I watched you doing a landrover recently. Great work Jimmy
EGR..the gift that keeps on giving.
Tell you what jimmy you are worth your weight in gold mate . I admire a good mechanic no bull and no ripoff . Goo do ya

Surely these throttle bodies flaps can be repaired by rebushing .They may be sealed but there will be a way.Another good vidio Jimmy.
Top job Jimmy 👊👊

£500 !!! 😮
For a bit of plastic?! That’s just robbery!
And it seems to be a defective part. Some sort of design fault
Should have been a Recall item
They last about a year before needing replacement again
@@ORileysAutos A year...That's outrageous! Always wanted an XJ... not now lol
Expensive cars are made of expensive parts

❤🎉😊 great video
Thank you 🤗
Is there anyway to calibrate without a special scan tool
Jimmy will service your car and your wife with the same hand at the same time 😂 mans got grip strength of a gorilla unclipping everything with 1 hand.
That looks like the same throttle body as the range Rover discovery minus the EGR section. Would you concur Jimmy
Yes. It's the same engine

The last video I watched was for a Range Rover I think, same thing. Design fault making it out of plastic.
I miss the blonde in your tee shirts
Is that the same as the Range Rover engine?
Same engine
But there are some small differences like the position of the air filter.
This is the 300bhp version and is Twin Turbo
@@bigjml cheers .. 👍
Can't understand what the trottle body is made with a plastic flap rather than metal like other cars, and so expensive!
British engineering at it's best.... it breaks within a year..
