The peristrophical movement of the body brings excitement in spirit and soul. You can get some kind of this excitement with speediness or by rhythmic movements but definitely the dervish dance is one of the best ways.
☺️🙏🏼
I used to live in Konya. I have been to Mevlanas wedding three times
Isn’t it the most mystical place☺️
Yes very special like whirling into a higher realm.

Do u know why we whirl anticlockwise?
1. The rotation represents the cosmos and the movement of the planets. By whirling counterclockwise, the dancers are following the same direction as the planets in our solar system, which move around the sun in a counterclockwise orbit. This motion signifies the participants' harmony with the universe and the divine order.
2. The leftward whirling also has a spiritual meaning related to the heart. In Sufi tradition, the heart is considered the seat of the divine and is associated with intuition, love, and spiritual insight. Whirling towards the left is thought to help open up the heart, allowing the dancer to connect more deeply with their spirituality and the divine presence.
The Sema is a physical expression of the spiritual journey, as the dancers aim to achieve a state of selflessness, unity, and connection to the divine while whirling counterclockwise, following the celestial movement and opening their hearts to divine love.

His name is Molana or Molavi, not Rumi!
It is not a dance and Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi is not a philosopher!!!
Indeed he was a philosopher. His poems contains great philosophical enlights.
Rumi is great muslim philosopher. Spiritual leader or sufi poet
