I lived and learned with sufis in egypt in the 1980s doing the dzickring all night with them and helping make a documentary at the time about the mullids- amazing people , they were living a very simple life, down to earth yet on a mystical path
I agree and this is my experience of sufis from more than 20 other countries. It hurts my heart to ever see a sufi misunderstood or bad mouthed(do not come from a sufi family myself.Just have a lot of respect for these traditions)
Walking in Egypt and living in it all mylife and I never could tell who is a muslim and who is a christian, who is a suni and who is a sofi, in here these things don't really matter, suni enjoy these as much as sofi, even in weddings we have these shows as part of the weddings, so u can say even christians enjoy it with us, anyways here no matter the belief we are all seen as Egyptians, no matter the color or the gender we refer to each other as humans, Egyptian humans. cheers.
Tive a Honra de vê-los aquí em Brasilia neste fim de semana no Teatro Nacional.Foi muito prazeroso. Dois dias depois os vimos com roupas normais, jeans e tenis, a maioria é muito jovem. Neste evento o tocador de castanholas era outro, bem jovem e achei-o com mais destresa ainda. Foi apaixonante e gostaria de saber mais sobre estes artistas egípcios.

Fantastic. Sufis are always great than other religious guys. Sufis never harm some one and this is proven.

I am a secular person but i like sufis because they are not harmfull for anyone.
