The spinning serves the same purpose as the sacred drugs, it puts you into a different space, one unfamiliar and disorienting, separating us from our own power and placing us in the realm of another. Clearing the mind of all but one thought, "Oh God, I seek thee!" makes the connection, allows us the hear words not spoken by any man. The drumming makes the rhythm and blocks out all distractions. In that spinning circle, there is but you and God. Wonderful idea.

It happens to me everytime.Sometimes it becomes impossible to control ourselves like our body automatically spines and we become powerless. It seems like we are in another universe, in our own self, a fainted soul, a careless thought but a peaceful mind...
During daybreak relaxation and reflection, I found much peace just spinning in circles to my instrumentals that day. There was something special I was allowing myself to feel, letting go and just being with self and the music. I'm thankful this exists, every living being connected through the same divine internal force.

Wonderful job of filming and sound engineering that allows us to experience and appreciate the inner piece of the artists. The reason God gave us more than one culture. Thank you and bless you.
Spinning that much definitely would have me saying "Oh my god!" The "spiritual" experience of barfing uncontrollably while your entire field of vision continues to rotate, knowing it's not going to get better quickly... My childhood interaction with tire swings has a whole new meaning.
I used to try to do this as a kidnand young teen. I didnt know it was a dance rhen. But i kniw the trance feeling i think. Incant do it now due to medical issues but hearing the music brings peace. Thank you both.
Wow, how powerful this was for me! I went through a lot of different emotions watching and listening! I thought this is how to be, in the midst of everything, remain centered, focused. I am still awed! Thank you to the dancer and the musicians and thank you to the person who filmed and shared! That is also a beautiful building!
It’s absolutely incredible and beautiful to watch. I first saw dervishes when I lived in Turkey. I was enchanted. I’m a professional ballet dancer and performing pirouettes or fouettés requires us to use a technique called spotting, in order to balance and not become dizzy. I find the Sufi spiritual spinning so fascinating.
There's so much to this to like. A form of prayer that's so beautiful that it's an art. A joy to watch and to listen to. I also love that this was filmed in a Christian Church. This is what religion should be; a bridge, not a wall.

This is so wonderful I don't have the words...I will tell you though, when I was a child I used to go out in the back yard and spin until I'd drop. Then I would repeat several times! I didn't know what it meant exactly but I was very spiritual and sensitive early in life. The first time I saw dervishes in a film I was fascinated. I was so young I don't know if I saw them before spinning or just started doing it intuitively. Anyway I am so happy to see a woman doing this because I know in some places it's not permitted. I also love that you're in a church, like no barriers of religion, just God's love being present. May you be blessed 💖🙏 P.S., beautiful singing!!!
This is not Turkish culture, but this a form of spirituality unique to the dervish order of Sufism and few other sufi orders that is kind off based in Turkey but also has a significant following in Egypt to
It's indeed provoking and stunning. I wonder about the direction of the spinning, I normally do towards the right, cause I feel it's the direction of life, clockwise. I wonder why they do to the left, there must be some kind of explanation... I'll research it! Thank you RUclips for recommending this to me.
It said that one hand is to take the grace of God and the other one is to spread it on the earth. I don't know if it's true, but it is beautiful for sure 😊😊😊
WOW! This is beyond words. Excellent video, great production values. More than anything though you are being salt to the earth by sharing this. :) (I've heard some people say this is 'dance'. It's prayer, pure and simple.) I keep coming back to this video...I used to think my religion was the only one, the only Truth, but I've learned a bit since then. For example, no one can deny what is going on here -- just look at the woman's face, she is in God's presence.

Muchas gracias nuevamente 😊✨🇲🇽
It happens to me everytime.Sometimes it becomes impossible to control ourselves like our body automatically spines and we become powerless. It seems like we are in another universe, in our own self, a fainted soul, a careless thought but a peaceful mind...
When you see something holy, it is unmistakable. It comes through.
Magnifique !!!!
Allah bless you ❤️✨
During daybreak relaxation and reflection, I found much peace just spinning in circles to my instrumentals that day. There was something special I was allowing myself to feel, letting go and just being with self and the music. I'm thankful this exists, every living being connected through the same divine internal force.
The fire and energy and passion of sacred music and dance! Thank you so much!
Been fortunate enough to attend these dances, very transformative even for spectators. 🙏
Sufi dance is such a powerful mystical thing. It compels you to watch.

I love all the Sufi dances. I used to do every day the Osho meditations and among them was one of the Sufi dances. They are amazing!
Omg..as a follower of bhakti yoga..n music and dance student..i find this so enticing!
Bhava samadhi, Sufi dancing, are very similar.
@@santigabriel333 Oh they are quite similar, though I don't think one influenced the other besides near the Indian subcontinent although they do have very similar positions
Dr. Javad Nurbaksh Revered Pir of the 700 year old Persian Sufi Order wrote many historical books on Sufism. One was Women and Sufism! 🙏💖🦋
Daf...wonderful instrument. I gave mine to an Iranian friend many years ago...too difficult for me to play it well.
Yes its difficult, but practice makes perfect
I’m blessed if I could feel the divine love…🙏🏽
The acoustic is something else there!!! Beautiful dance and music 🙏🙏🙏
This connection with spiritual is divine and clean all the density from this world in thirty dimension. Thanks
😊🙏🏼
@@faridsheekif you don’t mind me asking what song is this cause I would to hear this more than once?

Wonderful job of filming and sound engineering that allows us to experience and appreciate the inner piece of the artists. The reason God gave us more than one culture. Thank you and bless you.
Spinning that much definitely would have me saying "Oh my god!" The "spiritual" experience of barfing uncontrollably while your entire field of vision continues to rotate, knowing it's not going to get better quickly... My childhood interaction with tire swings has a whole new meaning.
I am so captivated by the Dervishes.
To me, this movement has always represented a unison with God and his creation. Perfect love.

Me ha emocionado. Gracias infinitas por tanta belleza
😊🙏🏼🙏🏼
This music & dancing make me think of a thunderstorm❤️ So beautiful,
Good description.
So powerful.
It’s absolutely incredible and beautiful to watch. I first saw dervishes when I lived in Turkey. I was enchanted.
I’m a professional ballet dancer and performing pirouettes or fouettés requires us to use a technique called spotting, in order to balance and not become dizzy.
I find the Sufi spiritual spinning so fascinating.
this culture is Iranian, even the song was in Persian in this video.
There's so much to this to like. A form of prayer that's so beautiful that it's an art. A joy to watch and to listen to. I also love that this was filmed in a Christian Church. This is what religion should be; a bridge, not a wall.
Amazing
Por favor.
Es una basura New Age.
Falso misticismo.

Awesome part of Turkish culture. Thanks for sharing this beautiful and spiritual dance.👏
This is not Turkish culture, but this a form of spirituality unique to the dervish order of Sufism and few other sufi orders that is kind off based in Turkey but also has a significant following in Egypt to
It's islamic not Turkish, the Turks just profit from it with tourists
No it's not. It's Rumi\s sama dance. Rumi was a persian poet, and you can't even read his poems!!!

Mamma mia, che MERAVIGLIAAA!!! Grazie 🥰🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤💪💪💪👏👏👏

Beautiful 😍, even we Hindus have similar steps in Kathak and Indian folk dances, they all have their origins in the Natya Shastram of 600BC by the Hindu sage, Bharatam.
This however for sure is Sufi dances of Iran.
Just amazing how they do that without falling down. It is a very elegant thing to watch.
@faridsheek
Thank you so much for posting this performance.
So beautiful.
Thank you 😊🙏🏼
